On a recent trip to Cheltenham we were unfortunately unable to travel because of the effect of the extreme weather on the railways. So we decided to have breakfast at John Lewis-I had a small breakfast and Pat had toast and mushroom. It was excellent. Very nice decor and ambience.

Purchased Tuna baguette. It was very dry there was no butter inside. The tuna was pipped on top so looked full but was empty inside. Wouldn't go there again waste of money

The place to go if you have babies... Nice food, nice cakes, nice coffee and very nice staff who always offers help to carry the food to the table if you have a puschair... Changing and breastfeeding facilities nice and clean... I go there often and never had a bad experience...

A lovely new cafe space in this gorgeous John Lewis in central Cheltenham. I guess that Covid is messing with customer numbers, or maybe it was this unexpected beautiful late summer's day, but it was very quiet here. In fact, the food ordering and payment area was so quiet I thought it was shut! Their salmon and cream cheese bagels were lovely, and it was a quiet, spacious and stylish place to sit and eat them. Would certainly return.

we wanted some food whilst in town so went to the John Lewis café as we wanted some reasonable food with pleasant customer service, as one would expect at John Lewis. We understand that times are difficult with Covid but this with an dramatic drop in standards. Three of the staff were not just unhelpful and direct to the point of rudeness but seemed to have limited interest in their job and kept getting things wrong. I would really question the choice of front of house staff as she was confrontational with us and others about registering on the NHS covid QR code whilst trying to do it. She then repeatedly came right next to us, to the point of touching us, whilst talking to us whilst in the queue. she then kept getting right into our babies face completely ignoring any social distancing, even once sat down. The cafe would probably do better with new front of house as she kept turning people away even though tables were being cleared and we at times empty, ready and unreserved. When ordering food we were told that were were no chips but then someone, who arrived and ordered after us, was given chips. part of our order was forgotten when paying so I then had to order the rest of the food which Id had already ordered at the table. we ordered some kids food but later were told they didnt have it so had to follow them 'there and then' for a refund. I asked for just a bit of bread or something for our baby instead. I was told Id have to pay £1.40 of two bits of toast and butter as they couldnt do plain bread. So then we got a single bit of toast not bread. After the poor service thus far I made it clear that if I was paying for two bits of bread/toast that we'd like it. I was given the soup but no spoon. Some of these are just minor points but there was no customer service and no interest in the quality with which staff seemed to be doing there job, not as you'd expect from anywhere let alone in John Lewis. I saw two other tables raise issued at the same time as we were there about their orders.

Compared unfavourably with the M&S cafe we'd visited earlier in the day. It's difficult to a finger on why but it was all very slow, they'd run out of what I wanted and the atmosphere was sadly lacking. Appreciate these are difficult times but our waitress wasn't particularly happy either.

While clean and well-spaced seating we experienced spending over £16 for a 30 minute wait before receiving a stale pre-packaged sandwich and a beef and horseradish baguette...without the horseradish. Obviously ran out and decided to make do with a bizarre splodge of beetroot jam. Will definitely avoid eating here again!

Not quite sure what happened here but we waited and waited for our order. Finally we were told there had been an incident in the kitchen and we were offered a full rebate.

We have popped in here on a number of occasions and have always enjoyed our teas and coffees. They have a good variety of gluten free cakes. The service is good and the staff are very friendly. Worth a visit.

We had just been to hospital app and decided to try John Lewis restaurant. What a disaster and such a disappointment. I use restaurant in Glasgow frequently and like it so never ever thought this would not have been good. We decided on soup and sandwich to share. Three soups sandwiches and three rolls for soup. Soup was extremely cold. My son took them back snd was told go heat in microwave. No offer of help. Daughter had bitten into roll which was as hard as stone. This is certainly not what you would expect from John Lewis. No apology. They just don’t seem to have got it right. We decided enough is enough and asked for money back. We certainly will not use this restaurant in Cheltenham again unless someone else tells us it was a fab lunch.

Awful and discriminating to vulnerable people. The driver refused to come in to the flat door even though I communicated a disability. I went out to meet them regardless and the driver was nowhere to be found despite walking up and down the road. After waiting for 20 mins and multiple attempts to contact, eventually got through to the store. The lack of basic empathy was infuriating, then the lack of service itself even worse. Could not get my food despite me walkng around the road to find the driver, and could not get written confirmation they were actually refunding me. I disputed it with my bank to actually get my money back. Contacted head office and the first response had no service tone, just a request to prove what times I'd phoned the store. Once I sent this, still no tone of service anywhere and no commentary or the blatant discrimination to vulnerable people. Dominos is on alot of people's boycott list for a reason.
