The best restaurants in Bristol, City of South West

WOW this place is amazing. The Pasta is too die for and the cheesy garlic bread pizza was amazing!!! but the Pasta was the stand out dish, best ever so delicous. 5 stars! xx

Llevamos a nuestra hija aquí cuando vinimos a verla a Uni. Hemos estado aquí tres veces antes, y cada vez ha empeorado. Esta última visita fue muy, muy pobre. El servicio era deficiente. Desde la inicial no bienvenida a través del servicio de mesa, era muy plana y pasando por las mociones. La comida también era totalmente increíble. Era como comer curry para llevar muy poco sabroso, no el indio de alta cocina. El único punto destacado, fue el precio de la factura. Lo evitaría. Hay muchos, muchos mejores restaurantes indios para probar en Bristol.

Nice coffee, but I have been working my way around Bristol's coffee shops and I have had better. Still 100x better than a Nero/Starbucks/Costa though! Toasted banana bread was nice. Good atmosphere, and a great place to sit to work or watch the world go by.

Eat a Pitta is a Bristol classic! Probably one of the best places to go for lunch in the city. It’s so flavoursome, really large and great value. The staff are helpful and there’s a good selection of drinks available. There are around six/seven tables upstairs to sit at with a nice view out the window.

A truly wonderful cafe with very tasty food

We had Tandoori Chicken and King Prawn Dansak here recently. It was authentically spiced with a complex flavour. I would eat here again.

Overall, the food was lovely and the atmosphere was great. However, the service was not as great as I expected. Overall, the waiters were Inattentive and really lack of observation skills. Two customers who were seated just a minute before us, right beside our table, had already received their drinks and food by the time we were even asked if we’d like something to drink or if we were ready to order. When we did place our order, we requested a jug of water to share… it never came. We asked again when our meals arrived… still nothing. It was only after we had completely finished eating that we finally received the water we had asked for three times. Meanwhile, the customers next to us had already been served their second round of drinks. In the end, a rough 12.5% service charge was added to the bill. Had I noticed it on the receipt beforehand, I honestly wouldn’t have paid it. It’s such a shame to give it such a low rating as the food were great and able to watch the chefs cook really enhanced the flavours and you can truly see the effort they put into the food. However with the lack of service, it really ruins that experience. I would go back I think, but I’ll be expecting more:)

Amazing Sunday roast at the Square, perfectly cooked and had everything you could want! Our server Lilly was great! Made us feel right at home and was quick to get us settled!

The cocktails were delicious and the service from our waitress honor was great! She was super chatty and gave us great recommendations for drinks.

Would definitely recommend to anyone. We had a wonderful time here for an anniversary dinner. The food was really good and we enjoyed that we were given time with each dish to finish it before moving on. As they're sharing plates, it was nice to not have several dishes at once. They had run out of the wine we wanted but we're suggested another bottle which was good. Service was great once it was underway, there were 2 large tables finishing as we arrived which took some time to complete.
