Great pub with friendly and fun staff, lovely food and a lush little garden

Fantastic, Sunday roast superb but must be pre booked

Very expensive for children and just not great service. Children's portion of a bowl of pasta with plain tomato sauce was 7.50 and did not include a drink or side. Asked about vegan sandwiches as online menu says pesto and mozzarella sandwich could be served as a vegan option, initially told at the till that it could be. We were then asked if we wanted to pay a service fee, weird to pay for this before experiencing any of the food service and having to order at the bar and carry drinks back ourselves, but we agreed since we were a large group (think we paid about 8 or 10 pound service charge). After we paid and sat down, someone came over to say the sandwich we wanted couldn't be made vegan as the pesto had milk in it, was then asked if we wanted to switch to vegan fish finger sandwich and we agreed. Couldn't believe it, but the server told us that would be an extra 1pound added to our bill for this. Was half tempted to say to take it out of the tip/service fee. We agreed to pay it and shortly after she comes over asking if she wanted us to bring the card machine over to collect the extra pound. Found this so weird given it was their mistake in the first place (out of date menu online and told wrong at the till) and it just felt like they were so desperate for the 1 pound.

Lovely meal, staff very helpful and very friendly.

We cooked ourselves but not enough food. That's why we went to The Langton for dessert. Delicious!! Good service, and a nice cup of cappuccino afterwards.

We had a lovely early dinner here. There is a carpark which is great as the streets surrounding are pretty packed. The Langton was busy outside and less so inside due to the sun being out! The menu has plenty to choose from and there are lots of deals each night if the week you could take advantage of. The good was yummy and came quite quickly - halloumi burger and beef burger. We were both satisfied with the position size. The selection of beers on draft was ok. More lager and standard ales than changing craft ales.

I went to The Langton for a wake I had never been there before and it was easy to find. Bar staff were friendly and efficient. A buffet was put on and the food was lovely. They provide food for someone with food allergies which was very good. The pub was decorated tastefully and kept up together. There was also disabled toilets.

The food was interestingly good. The service not so. It's an interesting place, architexturally. The place looks closed as there are major repairs going on. Odd.

We found this place after some random googling. A lovely local place which does really good food. It was quieter than expected on an early Sunday evening. The building is a good solid traditional pub, with good responsive staff.

Lovely pub in St Annes with plenty space for sitting inside and outside. They always have some great selection of cakes and brownies. Good selection of drinks and lovely draught beers, the prices are OK, similar to prices in city center pubs. Good selection of foods. Kids and dog friendly place. We went there to watch rugby today so got some drinks and I fancied a dessert and it was lovely.

Good selection of drinks, nice food. Also has board games and a decent out door seating area. Update: Been back a few times since my last review, on this most recent occasion we were told that children must be sat at the table at all times. They are 4 years old and were sat by our feet playing with toy cars. So if you have children maybe think twice about eating here.

Well presented local pub. The food is good especially when there are offers on. I'm really not impressed with the drink prices though. Soft drinks are expensive which is a shame if you are driving.

I dropped my daughter off here for a social evening. It was a skittles evening with friends. Food was included. The pub was very nice and the food was lovely. There was a car park which I couldn't see until I passed by. The roads were extremely narrow and very busy. I had to drive around and find a way back.

We love The Langton! We've now eaten in there a few times and we'll be back again. It's dog-friendly, which was a priority; the service is always warm and timely; the food has been delicious! Sunday roast is good too. If you're looking for a good local pub/restaurant, not too expensive, and a nice atmosphere, you can't go wrong.

It pains me to give this pub such a mediocre review, as I do want to like it more. It's close to my house, it's a very nice building, and the staff are all friendly. But the reality is that I've never come here and not had a problem with something. From unclear menu deals (when the menu says that 'all main meals' can come with a free starter or dessert, it doesn't actually mean 'ALL main meals'), to very slow service times, extortionate service charges automatically added (which seems especially cheeky with the long waits...) and even shandies that are quite clearly 70%+ lemonade. Drinking and eating out isn't exactly cheap these days, so even those some of these are small problems, it just makes it a bit unappealing!

Stopped in for lunch and enjoyed a chicken bacon sandwich and a Chicken burger. Both fresh and good value. Pub itself seems like a real hub of the community - given the photo walls, events advertised and the fact there was a Mother & Baby massage going on upstairs, while we lunched!

Great place for a party, you can book out the skittles room. Food is fine and good value, incredible drinks selection - heaps of different craft and regular beers!

Had our granddaughters 1st birthday here. Lovely lovely staff. Great food and service 👌

Apparently it’s fine to charge £4.25 for coke/lemonade and have dogs bare their teeth at 3, 4 & 7 year olds…and also take your food to another table..

Only a quick couple and a game of darts. Friendly staff, nice period atmosphere, good beer, what more do you need

Went for the New Years Eve 80s disco. Nancy the barmaid is the best. The DJ needs to work on his mixing.

Went for a drink friendly staff, setting very nice, soft music playing. Definitely will return to see garden area, and have a meal menu looked very good.

Lovely little pub, great food and nice busy atmosphere. Staff are nice and friendly. Could do with dimming the lights in some sections to make it more cosy tho

Not much to choose from on the lower end of the budget but it's always delicious nonetheless! And the atmosphere is always great - had my work Christmas party here and kept coming back after!

Great atmosphere and the staff and service were exemplary. The food is really enjoyable infact so much that portions could be a bit more. I had the pork belly it was lovely. The photo doesn't do it justice, as I had already started to devour it!

Welcoming, friendly service, excellent food, nice pint, used to be my local years ago, when I lived in Langton Court, will definitely visit again.

Lovely place. It was a bit quiet on a Monday evening but full and lively when I went to watch the rugby a few weeks back

Gorgeous, delicious Sunday lunch for 5. Booked for mid day, good choice because it became very busy. Did not have to wait long for food. The rolled beef was succulent, as was the chicken and nut roast. Will definitely go again when in Brislington, Bristol. All 5 of us loved the place. Service was brilliant. Thanks

Friends private party, friendly staff.

Came here recently as a party of 15 for my birthday. Food was timely, served together, tasty and good value for money. We then watched the live band and had a great evening! Paul and Flame were really helpful and even fitted us in to our own little area - thanks guys!

Great place, loads of events and wellbeing sessions on upstairs and tucked away in a quiet area. Super lovely staff and a great beer garden. Also activities like darts and skittles to play creating a great atmosphere!

Disappointed the rugby promotion want running and couldn't scan an entry

playing skittles on a Monday afternoon, excellent bowling alley, plenty of tables, comfortable chairs, friendly atmosphere, quiet time of the day.

Good selection of beers. We sat outside with two dogs who would have given another 5* review as there were free dog treats available at the bar. As my daughter lives around the corner I'm sure we will be back.

Great pub, it's a fairly big venue with alot to it. They have a decent selection of beers on choice. Pint prices are reasonable, aperol spritz could be a bit cheaper. Service was friendly and welcoming. They have a skittles alley and an outside seating area which is comfortable. It has a car park as well.

Used to come here regularly as our friends live down the road. Went in the other day and it was over 4 quid for a soft drink! Thought the lady had got it wrong (two cokes for almost 9 pounds seemed outrageous) and asked if that was right - the lady was pretty rude about it and looked at us like we were idiots. Happy not to come back, its a shame there's nowhere else in st Anne's.

I was absolutely appalled when coming here to find out a pint of coke was £4.50! I know it’s expensive to eat and drink out these days but this is daylight robbery. Also served by quite a rude lady. Won’t be coming back

Food and staff were excellent...

I want to like The Langton, but the prices are so unusually high that we won't be going there any more. Over £4 for a glass of coke or lemonade is hard to justify.

Always great tasting food and a wide selection of drinks available. It's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for in quality. Always friendly staff and lovely clean and tidy pub with bright outside area.

Nice Sunday Roast, and available tables which is rare for a Roast this good in Bristol.

Situated in a built up area of Brislington. But inside its decor is superb. Easy on the eye, colourful and modern looking. 7 of us enjoyed a Sunday roast which was well presented. Hot and tasty. Some had chicken, some had beef. Both excellent. Waiting staff were cheerful and helpful. Will definately return. Now a favourite place for me. Been back several times and the experience was just as good as before. Plenty of customers there but not overly so. An enjoyable time for all.

This place has a lovely relaxed feel. Had a Sunday roast that was delicious. The staff were helpful and friendly too.

The Langton is an amazing community hub for food, wellness, and drinks. I've been here on many occasions now and the staff are really friendly, the food is great and there is a good selection of drinks. There are also lots of events hosted here on a regular basis. Top notch roasts too - well worth the visit!

Just had a sunday dinner. 3 had pork and 1 had beef . It was a really excellent dinner the best i have had in a long time...the only slight criticism was that the cauliflower cheese was a little dry ...2 people had sticky toffee pudding and ate it very quickly ..they said it was heaven and ate it before we could taste it

This place has been massively improved in the last 5 or so years, it is much nicer than I had remembered it being! It's had a refit so the interior is light and welcoming, they have some great traditional pub food and a good selection of drinks. Food can be a little slow at peak times but the staff are friendly and there's a nice atmosphere. The little garden is a nice spot on a sunny afternoon and they have patio heaters for later on. It's great to finally have a decent pub in the area!

Love the staff can be very hostile on busy day pu. Owner handle customer view well and on time brilliant in house set up and carrying support Grounds are nice and presentable food is top notch never mind the price pay for what you get one time for roast potatoes they were out the packet but I did make a last minute late in the day reservation so could be expected/running out of food Overall ☆☆☆☆☆ P.S.RGT

What a lovely place. Great selection of beer and lagers..the interior is well designed and fresh looking. Beer garden is a great size. The manager Faye was very attentive and made sure we were well looked after during our stay. I will be back..

Nice pub with a good garden. Food was mediocre & I paid £7.70 for a pint of IPA!! When I queried this the bar staff did say it was the most expensive pint they have. Would go again as the venue is nice but next time I'll swerve the trendy brands of beer

Nice friendly place, and dog friendly

Nice little oasis for this part of town, lovely atmosphere and a great garden, but among the more expensive cask pints I've ever seen at all in the £4.50 region. It would lose half a star for that, but otherwise deserves the five.

Lovely pub. Nice atmosphere. Front and back beer gardens. Food was tasty. Service was quick. Ever so slightly too expensive for the area. But otherwise no complaints here!

Great local pub that has really branched out from your usual pub fare. They have a deli which serves great organic fare and the food they do is great. Just make sure you double check the specials menu, as they forgot to update it when we went and one of our group had a different soup to the one they expected.

Lovely staff, great range of ales and crisps, good parking, lovely sunny beer garden, boardgames available to play and toilets. Only serves roast dinner on Sundays. We found good seats without booking ahead.
