In the University of life one soon learns that not all Kebabs are made equal, do the taste test, quality and consistency is delivered by the Oxford every time.

Oxford grill is our go to for kebab, but this time it missed the mark. Yes, it was delivered early and yes the chips were great, but the chicken kebab lacked the usual char grilled taste and the lamb Donner was just plain anemic. Maybe just an off day?

It’s was amazing, the marinated chicken was just die for. Will come back again for that chicken goodness.

Was delicious as always, piping hot, and great portions, wouldn’t go anywhere else.

All was lovely and very good portions. Only downside, Chicken Shish advertised as cooked with green pepper and onion, unfortunately wasn’t included. 🥹

Really good chicken doner on chips, chicken is fresh and not oily, would recommend to people visiting Bristol looking to grab something halal to eat.

First time and unfortunately the last . The Donner meat was completely cold and tough in texture. Very disappointed in a highly rated takeaway.

We’ve now ordered from here twice this week. Absolutely hands down the best kebab I’ve had in a long time if not ever. I didn’t want to review before as wanted to check consistency 😊 honestly can’t fault it, good prices and delivery fee. Can’t wait for round 3. One complaint - please start selling cans of Rio!

delivery was requested at 7.55 but turned up 45 mins early I was at work so couldn't eat until my break and also was fasting call the store to ask why it been delivered to early who ever answered the phone is rude and unprofessional saying I need to put tike in comments to blame me but just eat have a timing option then said they get busy at that if they do and couldn't deliver at that time the could of call or update on the just eat completely rude and uncalled for attitude on the phone

Lamb donner was very good, small meal deal portion size was still very big, good value for money. Lamb shish however wasn't great, ended up with all of the fatty bits of Lamb which were inedible so didn't get to eat any meat.

Not happy turned up cold. And didn't wanna eat it.

The Large Shish kebab I ordered was tasty but quite chewy. I think they used mutton rather than lamb.

The best kebab we’ve had for a long time. My wife and I went in after a trip to the Oxford one evening a few weeks back, the guy was super nice, cooked the kebab how I liked it and talked to us about the food, he’s a real chef and cares about what he produces. This was the freshest, most delicious kebab we’ve had in a long time. Even after a few sherberts we knew this was delicious, ordered sober and it was even better 10/10 - we’ve found our new favourite place! Keep it up, you’re a real gent a

Not only was the food here cheap and delicious, but the service was quick and welcoming. I showed enthusiasm about having a good portion and a very healthy portion I received. It filled me right up (in the best way). My order was perfect, in temperature, tastiest, texture, timeliness and quantity. I would highly recommend Oxford Grill if you’re wanting that gorgeous taste of doner for dinner!

Ordered a pizza, took ages to come and was cold by the time it arrived, the cheese was one solid blanket over the pizza and generally was a bad experience. The delivery driver however was very polite and pleasant to interact with

Fantastic burger for the money served with Fresh salad and Burger relish, I've eaten a fair few of these from the Oxford grill and they're consistently good, best eaten straight from the grill!

AVOID! The chips and onion rings arrived and the plastic containers had melted on the food. When I called to tell them they told me to chuck them in the bin and pay for some more. They were also incredibly rude on the phone.

Garlic mayo was far too strong and ruined the kebab as it would have been edible and lovely if not for that. No complaints about anything else. Chips were amazing thankfully seeing as that’s all I could really eat!

I am ashamed to say I judged Oxford Grill by its cover and assumed it wouldnt be good. I moved to Totterdown a while ago and have never had a kebab from the grill. But the chicken shish and lamb shish I and a friend had last night were probably some of the best either of us have had! The marinade and chili sauce were top notch! The only place similar in Bristol is perhaps Matina. The gent who cooked our food even asked if we wanted the lamb rarer or not which kind of hints at least at the owners confidence in what hes serving. Tasted great, felt great the morning after, portion was also extremely generous. Only downside is the pita got super soggy but worth it for juicy delicious meat!

Some of our order was missing so as it was a few of us eating it meant one didn’t eat til their food was delivered after we called restaurant to report food missing, which is very disappointing.

Lamb shish meat was tough & chewy and chips were hard & chewy. This is really below the standard I’ve come to expect from Oxford Grill.

The shish are amazing and a really good size for the price. A small is enough for me. The cheese and spinach bread is superb and the chips are excellent.

The food arrived promptly which was great. I ordered a Mixed Kebab of lamb shish, kofte kebab and donner meat. Although tasty the lamb shish was tough & chewy which was disappointing as it’s usually tender from this outlet. Maybe it was cooked from frozen due to the current heatwave(?). The kofte & donner were fine. The delivery driver was polite & friendly, so overall not a bad experience.

Not very good driver banged on door with my food which in turn made the containers brake and upon opening the drinks they sprayed everywhere.

Normal the food is amazing, but today it was cold and not nice to eat. The cod an chips was not proper cod, it was something you can get from Iceland and it was dripping with grease.

I ordered a small chicken shish kebab and there was so much chicken and it was really good. I'd order from here again.

Food arrived earlier than we had wanted but it was lovely as always. First time I had tried their pizza and it was very tasty.

We ordered at 7.30pm 2x lamb Donner/chicken shish kebabs, large chips chilli sauce salad separate, it arrived at 9.10pm and they sent lamb Donner chicken Donner both wrong, I phoned restaurant and told them they sent wrong order and he said sorry we ran out of chicken shish so I sent you chicken diner, I said but I don’t like chicken Donner, he asked what we’d like, I Said send 2x lamb Donner, he said ok, but they didn’t arrive!! £22 down the drain, the restaurant could have called us and explained they’d ran out and what would we like instead but no they didn’t!! Well I won’t be ordering again. Disgusting!!

Food arrived on time was piping hot, only criticism is the chips are usually coated and lovely and crispy, but they were plain and boring! Can’t fault the food though, lush.

I would like to thank Oxford Grill for the excellent Oxford Special Kebab which was delivered to me tonight. It arrived piping hot with a separate salad and 2 slices of pitta bread. The pieces of meat were delicious; tender, perfectly cooked and very tasty. To top it all the delivery driver was pleasant and cheerful. I am delighted with this experience. Well done! 😃
