Quiet little pub bit off the beaten track friendly bar staff, looks like a good local pub

The wall of smell from urine cakes hits you on the way in, average beer selection but friendly enough

Card only is the only reason for this review. Infuriating. Great otherwise.

We had lovely time at this pub today, just opposite side to Tesco and Italian restaurant. Plenty spaces for sitting inside and outside. Good beer and ale selection. Friendly and welcoming bar staff.

Popped in before meal across the road. Atmosphere was very very frand relaxing. Thete was a vand setting-up too

We didn't have food but the pub is quirky and fun and they have live music events which is nice. It's also not far from a bus stop.

Plau at the open mic on Sunday afternoons atmosphere is great and good outdoor seating area along with fast service.

Great Totterdown establishment with some of the best indoor decor in Bristol! Very nice atmosphere and always something quirky to look at. £4.80 for a pint of Trail Blazer - they have an amazing beer selection! Didn’t stay for the live music but returned for what was the best roast I’ve had this year. There were a few veggie options for the mains which was refreshing to see - the mushroom wellington was lush. For me, though, the cauliflower cheese stole show!

Had an amazing roast dinner. As a vegetarian it’s hard to find a great roast but I would go as far to say it was the best I had in a very long time. The staff are amazing as well. Thank you all so much.

Great atmosphere but some of the drinks are expensive, paid £6.50 for the Camden Ale so would not order that again!

How does he do it? Great beers, pizzas, atmosphere, music... one of the reasons Bristol has culture is from boozers like this, great things come together at this pub

A proper pub, haven't been in one in ages and was so lucky that I was able to have a few points at this one. Really feels like they want to bring people together to chat and listen to good music.... it's there anything more you could ask for.

Love this pub. It's a classic Bristol boozer but with the perfect atmosphere for me and my mates. It has a punk rock feel, friendly but stickers and graffiti everywhere. Typical Bristol prices for beer but also really high quality craft ales and ciders. Great location for people watching and a really close walk to temple meads train station.

The Oxford has been transformed over the years. A lively, fun, community based pub. Pity it's all the way across town, otherwise I'd get along more often.

It has a performance area, occasional bands, regular open mic sessions, and an annual music festival. Great for locals, as an outsider I was welcomed also.

Best Sunday Roast during the winter months. Also one of the best open mic live music which is on every Thursday night. Lovey people and good atmosphere

Credit where credit is due, the pub has recently reopened after some works. I was pleased to see that the washrooms have been upgraded and the beer engines serviced/replaced my 4 star is now a 5 star.

My co-favourite local. Great beer, rad live music, cool staff, love love it in here.

Beer was very well kept (Independence and Waimea River were the two we tried), and the atmosphere was cool and bohemian, if slightly tired. Good selection of board games. I visited on the last day before closing for a refurb, so will be back once it reopens in a couple of weeks.

Friendly atmosphere and service. Plenty of beers though a few more choices of cider would be good. The decor is nice and homely, they do serve food though the kitchen was closed the day we visited unfortunately.

When a pub is willing to make a cup of tea out of the hours of 'usual cup of tea times' deserves 5 stars. xx

Regular live entertainment on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday which is great, so there’s something for everyone. The Oxford has a warm local pub atmosphere and the crowd is a great mix of friendly people. It was a shame the bar staff weren’t very welcoming but I’m hoping it was just a one off. The outdoor seating is also a good option for the sunnier days and the prices of drinks are pretty reasonable.

Seems a nice enough pub just a shame that the manager is a arrogant horrible nasty man, who asked a group of us to leave because we were having fun nothing too loud,we weren't even drunk, he obviously didn't like seeing a group of women having a laugh,
