what a find...Southbourne has come on in leaps and bounds recently and is turning out to be a rather pleasant place to be. Purchased some fabulous cheeses and savory pastries and then I found Cake Box. OMG what an array of tempting cakes they have, I choose the mixed fruit with nuts and it did not disappoint. Fabulous choice & great taste, Good Job Cakle Box Southbourne.

We had a work xmas party for 25 people and it was superb service from booking in the pre-ordered food & drink up to the actual night as Trina & Mauro were very attentive. The mood was very classy christmassy, with a great spread of quality food & drink for people to tuck in to. We were given the option for karaoke and of course went down amazingly! Everyone had only good things to say about the evening and we will definitely be back!

We come back here whenever we visit Bournemouth for the excellent food, and each time we have been served by Lynn. She’s so lovely and accommodating, she really makes the whole experience.

My husband and I popped in for bacon baguettes and tea. The owner is super friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. We shall definitely be returning on our next visit.

I went this morning for a breakfast with my 2 year old. Had the best eggs Benedict that I’ve had in many years. My boy had the porridge which was so tasty, I had to finish his off as couldn’t let it go to waste. I also ordered a cappuccino which was top quality. The lad that served us was polite, attentive and the food was quick to come out. Hands down a 10/10 experience. Will be back and also recommended to friends and family.

Interesting choice of dishes, not run of the mill food. You will pay a premium for this. Update 2024: This place no longer exists. It shut down earlier this year.

We live locally and visited the Larderhouse on Easter Sunday. Table was for 3pm and we were very much looking forward to one of their lovely Sunday roast. We gave them our order of 2 roast beef's after checking the beef wouldn't be well done. I also ordered a glass of Malbec which I was told they didn't have but offered a different equivalent wine. It then took 50 before our meals came. Only to find that the beef was so tough we couldn't cut it. The roast pots were dry and tasteless, the cauliflower cheese had hardy any cheese in it. The greens were also tough. All in all not a good meal. We complained to our waitress and she took our meals back to speak to the chef. She then told us that she would take one of the meals off the bill. Bearing in mind the beef roast dinner is £26. We then asked for bill only to find that the equivalent glass of wine I was given was £2.50 more. Consequently we paid the bill minus the service charge and left hungry. We were very disappointed as in the past the roast dinners have been excellent. Thankfully it was just the 2 of us as normally we would have taken guests. That would have been very embarrassing. We sadly won't be going back to the Larderhouse any time soon

I can't emphasis enough that the brownies are the most incredible thing I have ever tasted. I adore them and my last meal on earth should be one of those brownies

Very fun and exciting! The food was amazing!

The atmosphere in the Spyglass is perfect and the service great. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The prices are great and value for money. The Senior menu is just perfect for those who don’t want a huge plate of food. Can’t wait for the Summer so that we can sit outside whilst eating our meal.Always look forward to going there if only for a coffee and a piece of Carrot cake. Wow.

A great place to visit after a walk along the beachfront, friendly staff and a good family atmosphere.

Baffi is a very lively busy place and I would recomend booking. It is a very nice pizza/pasta restaurant. We had the Burrata and palma ham starter to share, which was excellant. My wife had a Prawns, garlic, fresh chilli and rocket pizza. I had a nduja, roasted red peppers, gorgonzola and fresh chilli pizza, both of which were excellent. The staff were friendly and the service was good.

We love the takeaway from here! The portions are always lovely and arrive nice and hot. I even burned my mouth on the bok choi because I was excited by how good it smelt! Always a fan of extra prawn crackers for the meat eaters in the family, and they even threw in a bit extra last night! The biggest problem is I eat the food to fast to appreciate it enough 😁
