It was a quiet evening but great music gave a lovely atmosphere. Food was superb and service excellent. Highly recommend this place and will definitely go again.

I cannot describe how amazing the food was, we have eaten at a few Michelin star restaurants but this was by far the best. Each course was an explosion of tastes. I would highly recommend. The staff are lovely and you have feel their love of the produce and the producers.

Terroir Tapas, Southbourne - Wow! What an experience! 100% consciously sustainable gastronomy. Beautiful people delivering the most incredible dishes. How have we lived here so long not knowing about this place? They deserve to be packed out. We want to shout about them so that their philosophy and efforts are embraced by all of us. They cater for all, with a simple plates experience, Steak menu and for those who can, a tasting menu that is remarkable. Please support these guys who have no bins but make a gastronomic experience of every part of every food and support only local farms and English wines and beverages. You will not be disappointed!

Tremendous dessert, with smoky and crunchy wheat bits. Fantastic slider/burger with incredible choice of cheese. Cocktails were inventive, delicious and were served by an extremely entertaining bartender. It’s very hard to do sustainable food deliciously and their work is paying off. I hope to go back there, even if it’s just for drinks and a small bite. Walk ins to the bar are welcome.

Best Oysters I've ever and lovely stagf

It’s hard to know how to judge this particular restaurant. Opinions will be polarised. Your average Shoreditch hipster is going to love the tables made from recycled plastic lids. Others are going to wonder why they’re paying so much money for being served the parts the other restaurants would not use. In my day that was tripe & onions. BTW, what is it with goat on Bournemouth menus these days? The David Attenborough toilets a nice touch. So 5 stars and 1 star averaged makes 3 stars. Plus one for trying at a time when it’s hard to survive, let alone prosper. Our grown-up children love the place. So 4 stars it is.

Amazing details and tasting food. For me it lacked the overall experience of a welcoming place, or somewhere I would want to go back to. Nice to to try.

Little gem hidden away. I was recommended this place by a friend of mine. Exceptional service, fantastic Sunday roast and wine.

I had to cancel because of my parents having Covid-19. Deposit refund less a 5gbp “admin fee”.I canceled in advance. I was told “it in our booking T&C”. The booking email confirmation does not state this (or other T&C). I shall not be rebooking or eating there. Be very careful with these people if you book in advance.

A Christmas present - Terroir Tapas game lunch. What a treat and a fantastic meal. A game tasting menu with some amazing ingredients. All cooked to perfection by the very skilled and talented chef. They are an eco aware restaurant and awarded a green Michelin star. Cocktails are creative and very enjoyable. The wine pairing with the meal was ok. All wines are local producers, an interesting mix, and some were an acquired taste, but still good value. Most memorable plate had to be the hare doughnut! Thank you all for a wonderful lunch.

Came here for a collab Sunday lunch with Crossfire Cooking. Really delicious. The manageress was super lovely and we really enjoyed the drinks she mixed for us. Will have to come back and try one of their amazing sounding taster menus

One Micheline star restaurant in Southbourne. It's not Spanish - the food, wine and other beverages are British. We had the 6 course tasting menu and we loved it. Slowly paced, well composed, attractive little dishes with delicious combinations of flavours, textures and colours. The chef really knows what he's doing. I even loved the desert (crunchy rhubarb, oh-my-god ice cream, and other little bits, not too sweet and not too much). The sommelier is helpful, very well informed, her descriptions are accurate and her recommendations are spot on. There's lots to drink besides wine - like special ciders. The atmosphere is very casual, so dress down and comfy. Will definitely go again.

Wonderful in every way. We sat at the chefs table and had the 10 course tasting menu with wine pairing. The chefs described each course to us in detail and we had a great time chatting to the head chef about his vision, the sources of the food etc. Everything is from a local, sustainable source and was beautifully prepared and absolutely utterly delicious. The wine pairing was fantastic and the bartender extremely knowledgable about them all. It’s was one of the best meals we’ve ever had and we are pretty picky! The whole experience was perfect and we couldn’t fault a single thing. Go here and eat, right now!

This is not what was expected. If you are looking for a traditional tapas restaurant this is not it. It's more of a tasting menu at a £100 pp. They do have a very limited smaller 4 course for £45 pp. Or a snack menu. The food is nice but a little over priced probably. They take bookings but if you just want a drink they do walk ins.

What an unbelievably fantastic night we had on NYE. This was our first visit and took part in the 23 course New Year’s Eve tasting menu. There was promise of going out with a bang, and boy did the Terroir Tapas team over deliver. From the minute we walked in, to the moment we left, we were clearly in the hands of a relaxed, fun and super professional team that had gone to great lengths to deliver a multi-sensory experience. We felt very lucky to have been part of the night as guests, and will have no hesitations in… (A) Telling everyone we know that loves fine dining to go visit. (B) Returning again soon. (C) Buying tickets for next NYE the second they go on sale. Thank you to everyone at Terroir Tapas, you delivered one of the greatest dining experiences I’ve ever had.

10 course taster menu Chefs table. Started beautifully first courses were good and one potato dish outstanding. The Chef here clearly has talent. We were getting very full by the seventh dish. I tried my best to make conversation with the Head chef but it was only one way and although he replied nicely I think he really was only there to describe dishes and prob wanted to watch the football. He plated beautifully but unfortunately the pork belly was tough with un rendered fat. We struggled with the savoury mushroom complex desserts but were full so this may be perfect for some. Great staff tho, life’s tuff out there at the moment, perhaps next time he may consider wishing his guests a good night before he departs it’s always good to spread good will and costs nothing. It was I have to say a quiet night with a England World Cup fixture keeping most people at home . My advice don’t go for the on a bar stool Chefs table taster menu sit at your own table served by very charming staff and make your own choices. Not many restaurants cook over open fire and care so much about sustainability and provenance so that’s special.

We went today for the Sunday roast collaboration Terroir Tapas are running with Crossfire cooking. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely go back and try out one of the tasting menu nights.

Amazing food, incredible flavours . Great experience and all sustainable too.

A wonderful cheese tasting menu, "The Twelve Cheeses of Christmas" paired with English red and white wines, a honey wine and a cider. Just the most amazing flavour profiles, continuing with each of the courses. As the restaurant has a green star, all the chutneys, and ketchups are prepared from things ordinary mortals bin. Even the fruit loaf had no dried fruit (raisins, citrus peel, currants) but dried and rehydrated veg trimmings but you wouldn't know. For vegetarians there were options available but as a carnivorous person I can't comment on how delicious they are, be assured that the flavours will be remarkable. If you have an interest in cheese, book for one of these tasting menus. Start with a cocktail, even the non alcoholic ones delight. Who said you need alcohol for excitement.

Excellent food, very creative and tasty. I really recommend it! Sometimes the wait between courses is a bit too long but the food is worth it. We will try the long testing menu.

Always come back here because it is certainly best restaurant in southbourne (and beyond) The care taken by Jesse is unrivalled and he genuinely cares about everything he serves. Not only do you eat well and drink well but you also learn about food. Well deserved Michelin star.

My wife and I had the 10 course tasting menu and it was amazing. I have eaten in some high quality and Michelin stared restaurants over the years and the quality at Terroir is definitely as good if not better. Each course was an absolute delight and the sustainability and use of ingredients is second to none. Service was exceptional, you must eat here!

Great service, creative innovative food and flavour lasts for hours.

Very good! An interesting combination of well-sourced British ingredients. By just looking/tasting the food can I tell the ingredients are processed with efforts. The concept of being sustainable is a great move yet not new for non-Michelin listed restaurant, aka, ordinary restaurants you can find anywhere. I assume that sustainability is just a huge hidden issue in the majority of Michelin restaurants.

Everytime we go to terroir the staff don’t fail to amaze. The level of service, attention to detail and quality of food is in my eyes 2nd to none. It is a testament to the head chef, Jesse, that they have now been awarded a green michelin star. This is long overdue. It is nice to see the same faces each time we go there and also seeing that the passion for service and the food that they are creating is shared across the whole team. My biggest worry, with the overly deserved success they are gaining, is that I may struggle to get a table in the future. I wish the team all the continued success moving forward and know that they are heading for a red Michelin star in the future. We will continue to be repeat customers.

The best food I have ever had. Truly. We had an incredible four course lunch (at an extremely reasonable £35pp.) Every bite was out of this world. Everything locally sourced or from the British Isles (even the wine). Extraordinary!

Knowledgeable staff but the food and wine is overpriced

Unique & quality food. Quality rather than quantity . If you are a hungry hunting foodie,maybe not a right place. I recommend if you are looking for a fine restaurant for a special occasion, this is the place to take your special person or people.

Bit of an identity crisis going on here…they claim to have food sourced from only the UK. But when I went there was chocolate on the menu and that is absolutely not from the UK (indeed they know this as they had calculated the mileage to where it was from) ooops! It’s called “Terroir Tapas” but it doesn’t serve tapas - it’s now a tasting menu only joint. And since it is trying to celebrate all that is British in ingredients, why call it “Terroir” which is obviously a French word to describe - classically - the location of french ingredients? (I adore French food and the language - but it’s a bit odd to have it be the name of a restaurant that seeks to celebrate English/British ingredients?? The prices are fine for London, but for Southbourne? No. The servers told us they are after Michelin stars - and I admire the effort and goals - but to really get to that level they have to focus on all the elements of a restaurant, not just the food. For example, their website and menus are littered with spelling and grammatical errors. The plates that were used for service were greasy. The extraction units were not sufficient for the amounts of grill smoke created. I love what they are trying to do here, and their chef is talented (he’s clearly been working on these dishes for a while) but to really make the most out of these dishes and the reviews that they are getting the people running the restaurant need to do a better job of making sure everything other than the food is done really well. If you have a concept then make sure that concept is coherent and adhered to. At the moment it seems there is a bit of an identity problem - fixing that and making sure the presentation of all aspects of the restaurant is of a high quality will make things much better.

I have been twice now recently, first with a friend and then I took my family. Both times have been amazing and I have thoroughly enjoyed the food. Hospitality is amazing, love how knowledgeable the chef's are about the food (and even those who aren't chefs!)staff. Enjoy the experience, my ONLY downfall is I always wish the portions were bigger 😁

£250 bill for 2 bottles of wine and dinner for 4 and a round of shorts. For a meal none of us ate and all left hungry after following advice on dish amounts. Just as well the wine was nice so that we enjoyed something there. Tapas isn't how I would describe it. Small plates restaurant - is a more accurate description. The meat - asked for medium, got medium rare, closer to rare. Clearly not rested after cooking. After being on our table for some time, enquired as to the food. Mentioned the cooking to which they offered to cook it more at that stage!? No apology just told that it is checked with a thermometer and would be the lowest end of medium - guessing they also checked the thinnist piece? Sold as super aged - which I think is clever wording for rotten. None of the 4 in our party could eat more than a couple of mouthfuls so whilst saved from being wasted initially, it was completely wasted once prepared - kinda against everything they are trying to do. Took it home for the dog, but decided not to risk even him eating it. Would have been better for the environment and sustainability if this had gone into pet food in the 1st instance. Unless this is actually a really sneaky ploy to try and put meat eaters off meat in which case, you're doing well... Carrots - nice if you like smoked foods as that is the overriding taste. Heritage Tomatoes - very disappointed, you could not taste the tomato at all due to the strong pickling. The dish itself is ok but should be sold as a vessel to get vinegar to your mouth rather than using heritage Tomatoes as the selling point. Flat bread with goat fat - nice bread, lovely local butter and goat fat. Not to my particular taste buds but an interesting flavour to try. New potatoes - I'm not quite sure how someone could go wrong with new potatoes, but they did! They weren't properly cooked and the amount that you got for the money was actually insulting. Cabbage - a bit lost for words on this one. £6 for a 6th of a cabbage with a bit of sauce. Tastes like the topping on a Japanese pancakes. Corn - less than a cob of corn for £6. Sliced and cooked al dente on a griddle(?) Flavour nice enough, bit of heat and spice. Oysters - best dish of the night, large Poole quay oysters, fresh and flavourful. Unfortunate that 4 of the 7 had noticeable pieces of shell. We conveyed most of the above points to the manager before leaving. They did nothing to try and appease the customer, no "sorry you didn't enjoy it and found it undercooked" just a "well we are very popular and the meat is an acquired taste". Also emailed the overall management and received no response.

Inventive combos created by food masterminds. Sit at chefs table and enjoy the opportunity to discuss with the kitchen their lengthy processes to create a perfect dish. Sommelier was extremely knowledgable with a full english wine and cider menu. Comfortable and modern eco interiors. 110% to the staff, their knowledge and passion is rare to see!

Greenwashing! David Attenborough would be disappointed.

Very disappointed, i like the idea of locally sourced produce and even english wine, however the only thing that resembles tapas is the very small plates! The description of the dish was far better than the uninspiring food we were served, at £16 for 1 scallop in an under whelming sauce i felt was expensive! As was £6 for a piece of charred lettuce! The whole experience was not one of the best i have had! The servers however were great. My partner felt the same and was equally disappointed. Tapas for me has always been an enjoyable experience and i have had tapas in some of the best restaurants in Spain, i felt the Terroir to be a tad pretentious in its offerings, and very expensive for what we had.

Excellent food with five star service - can't recommend enough

Best restaurant and bar in the area - after much research. Really making an effort to deliver a sustainable food and drink experience without making it alienating. I’ve never had the process and sourcing explained in such engaging detail. Was genuinely expecting the bill to be twice as much. Wine and cocktails incredibly high quality and interesting. Food really tasted great. Usually live in London and this place would compete well there easily.

Used to absolutely love coming to terroir tapas but really sad that now they've decided to 'go in a different direction' moving away from more plant-based dishes. My boyfriend and I are both vegan and were disappointed to find only one dish on the menu that catered for this considering terroir tapas is marketed as an eco-conscious restaurant! The staff were lovely and managed to create some other dishes for us but we did feel like we were being awkward which was a bit upsetting as being vegan is fairly common now. Sad to see this change and hope that they bring back some of the beautiful plant-based dishes as the creative ways they cooked vegetables in the past was amazing!

Coming from London, we were astounded by the quality and inventiveness of the food here. They are gunning for the stars... This needs to be on your bucket eat out list in Bournemouth - not sure why it's not featured more regularly. Delicious, sustainable, inventive small plates. Natty wines (celebrating English producers) galore. Eat and drink here !

Possibly the best food I've ever eaten, on par with any Michelin star London experience I've had. Chefs table was something special, extremely friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable. Top quality responsibly sourced local food. A must visit, I'll be back.

Very complex and tasty tapas food. Not your usual Spanish tapas at all. Friendly knowledgeable staff. On the pricier end but the quality deserves it. Very enjoyable.

Totally unique and special dining experience. These guys really care about their food. Every course was accompanied by a talk about the ingredients, how it had been sourced and what made it sustainable. While that sort of experience might not be for everyone I left feeling like I'd done more than just had 'some interesting tapas'. Service was great and the drinks menu included some really well thought out pairings. It's pricey for the volume of food but hard to argue with the cost when you understand what has gone into it. All the dishes were great but the thing that surprised us the most was the humble baby tomato dish. I've never had such flavoursome tomatoes before.

Just home from a fantastic evening at Terroir Tapas where once again we were blown away by the quality and variety of the food and drink on offer.Neither of us eat red meat and one of us is GF but there was still plenty on the menu for us to enjoy and everything we ate was superb. It's great that the dishes come out one by one as it really gives you the chance to appreciate the work that has gone into each dish as well as really taste the different flavours.The staff are always brilliant; knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. We really can't recommend it highly enough

Wonderful playlist the music is amazing! The food is just excellent!! Heaven to eat here! The skill, imagination and quality of ingredients surpassed our wildest dreams. The atmosphere, furniture and decor are excellent, very upmarket but fun. Prices are reasonable, range of British wines is unparalleled, plus a few beers, cocktails and ciders and decent range of interesting food options. The staff are fun amd clearly foodies/wine people themselves as they know their stuff. I'd recommend giving it a look in.

Been here about 8 times now - love the food. They’ve changed chefs and we’re understaffed when we went recently but food did not disappoint. Beth, our server, was so enthusiastic and lovely - v impressed by her knowledge and attention to detail. 80s Italian decor. Homegrown veg, no waste cooking, thoughtfully put together dishes. We love the char-grilled Hispi cabbage with chilli crumb and Japanese mayo, and the ‘fish and chips’, the mackerel, the turnips. Less keen on some of the English wines but will certainly return.

Delighted to have found this place which has to have a winning formula. As a group of 5 we tried almost everything on the menu and nothing disappointed. Taste explosions everytime, from the marinated tomatoes to the cured Atlantic char, rhubarb and radish. All these creative ingredients were beautifully prepared, and presented by enthusiastic, knowledgeable staff. Oh, and it's all eco friendly. What's not to like?! Just make sure you leave a space for dessert- the chocolate, coffee and raspberry dish was so amazing my taste buds thought they had died and gone to heaven after months of my home cooking! The only tiny negative - the acoustics are difficult (it's a trendy exposed brick space)....and as such the music, while great, was a bit loud for anyone slightly hard of hearing. Go anyway though as this place is all about what you can see and taste. We'll be back.

We went here for a tapas lunch today and loved it. All our food was delicious, fresh and locally sourced - even the wines including the wonderful ice wine. Our favourite dishes were probably the mackerel and the honey milk herb but enjoyed all ten of them. I required gluten free and the dishes were adapted to suit.The staff were great - friendly enthusiastic and exceptionally knowledgeable. Love that it is so eco focused- nothing appears to be wasted. Will definitely be back.

Best restaurant we went to in Bournemouth! The service was absolutely amazing and the food was like nothing we’d ever had before. Simple and delicious. Loved the stories that came with each dish and listening to David Attenborough whilst in the loo! Definitely recommend 👏🏻🥂

Had a lovely meal for two from start to finish. A very creative menu with some delicious dishes and right up our street! We ordered 6 dishes and didn’t leave a scrap on any of them the mackerel dashi the most popular of ours. Thank you terroir tapas we’ll be back again.

Fabulous experience at Terroir!

My boyfriend and I absolutely love Terroir and have been going for years. The food is so great, but the new waitress always makes our experience a bit uncomfortable. She’s extremely flirty with my boyfriends and dismissive of me, which makes the experience not as nice for us as it used to be. If she packed it in a bit then I’d be giving it 5 stars.

Amazing! Best restaurant I have been to in Bournemouth and we eat out a lot! Loved everything about it from the decor, the service from our lovely waitress and the food was incredible. Best margarita I have ever had! Will be back soon.

Tuve una comida realmente encantadora. Excelente variedad de comida vegetariana y me encantó el concepto sostenible de bajo desperdicio. Todo estaba recién preparado frente a nosotros. Las raciones son bastante grandes (especialmente el pan & co y pimientos). El personal estaba bien informado y claramente apasionado por trabajar allí, lo que realmente contribuyó a la experiencia :)

Cuando fuimos, el restaurante estaba 'lleno' pero solo medio lleno debido a la covidumbre y las medidas de distanciamiento social que lo convirtieron en una combinación perfecta de ambiente pero también de poder escuchar la compañía con la que estabas. ¿No estás seguro de si ese hubiera sido el caso cuando el precovid estaba completamente lleno? Mientras estuvieron en Covid, sus procedimientos de higiene fueron buenos, especialmente en comparación con otros restaurantes.Recomendaría los platos vegetarianos y me encanta la carne. Mi plato que menos me gustaba era el filete ex lácteo. El sabor era agradable pero un poco duro ya que es una ex vaca lechera. . . así que no me sorprendió. Pensé que los tamaños de los platos de tapas eran justos y tenían un precio razonable para la calidad. No soy un local, así que no volveré cada pocas semanas, pero espero que los lugareños apoyen este tipo de negocios, así que cuando regrese puedo volver. El área de Bournemouth necesita más de esta variedad, alta calidad e lugares interesantes.

Reservamos en Terroir con anticipación para nuestra cena de aniversario, solicité un espacio en el bar ya que nos gusta ver cómo se preparan todas las comidas y bebidas. La comida era excelente, nuestro favorito en particular era el halloumi horneado con ajo silvestre y geles de mora. También tenía bhaji, mejillones, panes y budines que eran un syllabub de ruibarbo y probablemente el postre de chocolate más rico con sal y pimienta negra. Los cócteles siempre son originales con sus propios destilados y haciendo uso de Conker en el camino. Lo pasamos muy bien, el personal siempre es muy amable y conocedor. Parecen genuinamente invertidos en la comida y bebida que están sirviendo. En general, una comida encantadora y volveremos una vez que se levante el cierre.

We decided to try the All l You Can Eat Sunday Vegan Roast, as a sort of last supper before the apocalypse, and we are glad we did. It's 'just vegetables', but, goodness, what your can do with texture and taste if you know your stuff, and the Terroir crew certainly do. Beautifully presented, utterly delicious and well worth it. The staff are friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. Perfectly judged food. Splendid setting. Great atmosphere. Go. Now.

It’s not for everyone and it’s not your Benidorm tapas neither. For the foodie and drinkie who likes to try different stuff. You don’t have to eat, you can simply sit at the bar for a beer, wine or cocktails.

I love the toilets - black and using grey water, also the growing plants and use of every scrap of food.

Fabulous food service and cocktails we had a wonderful evening!! Can't wait to go back!

Las últimas tres veces se sentaron incluso como una pareja reservada en el mostrador, ya que no nos dejaron usar parte de las mesas a pesar de que ninguna de ellas se acostumbró cuando estuvimos allí. Aparentemente, solo los grupos de 6 más obtienen una mesa ahora. Además, siete de los platos no estaban disponibles, por lo que dejó una opción de unos cinco o más. Creo que tal vez se puso un poco cómodo. Aunque es una pena

Ça fait plaisir de voir qu’on trouve désormais de la cuisine inventive. L’endroit est super cool un peu froid quand il y a peu de monde. Le vin devrait été servi dans des verres à pied ! Le goût est meilleur les tapas sont bonnes et parfois excellentes mais trop peu garnies pour le prix. Les champignons trop cuits nous ont permis d’avoir un tapas de chou offert en compensation. Geste commercial apprécié ! Nous y avons passé un très bon moment ! Merci

Vine aquí el jueves por la noche, recibido por un entusiasta gerente de bar que hizo que mi amigo y yo nos sintiéramos muy bienvenidos. Decimos que pedimos un par de pilsners increíbles, esperando nuestro entrante, que eran champiñones a la parrilla que se servían con una deliciosa salsa de romero y ajo. El siguiente fue un increíble Ex - lácteo Prime Steak que teníamos con la mantequilla de ostras y pedimos que se cocinara un poco más raro de lo habitual, lo cual estaban felices de hacer. Cuando salió, el primer bocado me dejó boquiabierto, ¡y siguió haciéndome volar con cada bocado que tomé! Sinceramente, el mejor bistec que he comido! Por último, tuvimos el Halloumi con Tayberry y avena, y de nuevo, ¡cada bocado era más delicioso que el anterior! No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente! ¡Felicitaciones masivas al chef y al gerente del bar que hicieron que nuestra experiencia aquí sea inolvidable! Definitivamente volveremos!

Having been recommended by a good friend I decided to take my other half to this lovely restaurant. The interior is awesome, very different and quirky. The waiter chap ( Morgan) came over and explained the idea behind the place was to be zero waste and sustainable. They grew most of all their ingredients and everything was cooked fresh to order.We started with some cocktails and they were pretty special. We then decided on 5 dishes ranging in prices. Yes, they were written on a blackboard above the bar with no real description but that's part of the fun. Ask Morgan and he explained everything. It also gets you talking about different ingredients used. I liked this idea.I'm veggie / non diary and I ate all the vegan dishes that night which were really lovely.The toilets were interesting with David Attenborough narrating in the dark but I found it amusing more than anything. Great service, food and cool vibe. The only negative was that the cost of one of the dishes was expensive for not a huge portion of mushroom. So we asked why. So it turns out this mushroom was foraged locally, you cannot buy it and its only around for 4 days each year. So the price was relative to the effort put in. However I'm More than happy to put my money into local businesses and support them in representing a new idea in the food experience. Cheers guys :-)

I know as soon as I walked in this wasn’t for me, menu on big black board above the bar, did not have a clue what we ordered but it was all over priced. The cabbage dish was one of the most popular apparently... who wants to eat a whole cabbage with breadcrumbs not me. £120.00 for four of us. Walked out hungry and disappointed.I’ll give this place another six months before it’s gone.

I'll make this quick. The vision of the restaurant is to be as environmentally sustainable as possible but unfortunately the focus seems to be on that over the quality of food. The portions are smaller than your usual tapas but are charged at the same price (e.g 4 miniscule slices of squid for £6). And for the sake of your tastebuds do not try the halloumi cubes covered with oats. All in all we spent over £30 on 4 plates and left feeling hungry and ripped off. Defo give this a miss.

What a change, to find somewhere where locally sourced food is prepared with passion and beautifully and originally served. With a zero waste policy, and a hydroponic system for growing their own herbs, there are no printed menus, but blackboards outlining the tapas dishes and drinks options, with wine available by the glass or bottle. Foods are locally sourced and Andy who was serving was happy to explain anything. Don't go expecting a belly busting meal, but somewhere to savour lovingly created, original, flavoursome dishes.

By far some of the best food I've had in a very long time, the whole experience was incredible!!!! everything from the toilets to the music and the staff were fantastic. Well done guys 10 out of 10 and 100% a unique place. Love everything about it can see its related to the larder house Thanks

Great food with a really good ethos

The goods:This place is an amazing eating experience, which we loved Over 60% of the menu is vegetarian but even if you are a meat eater I think it’s worth trying Fantastic ecological concept Wine is quite expensive but it’s organic & delicious The meals were divine & we thought 3 meals + the bread ‘meal’ was enough for two people Beautifully presented food (see photo)We liked the fact that the food came out at different times, so you could savour every plateVery reasonably priced for what we gotThe ‘chocolate pot’ was a little pot of heaven & sooo fillingWeird but wonderful toilet experience!The not so goods:None, we loved itOverall, I think you need to understand the whole concept of this place. Yes, you have to pay £1 for tap water, but it’s for Water Aid. I very rarely give 6* but I totally get what they are doing. I hope it continues to be well supported because the food is amazing

Great service, impressive ethos and good atmosphere, but I felt that all I was eating was over priced deep fried vegetables (I don't eat meat). Sorry, I know the menu changes, so if I were to go again there is every chance I would have a much better experience, but for me, it just didn't hit the mark.

There’s no menu, just a blackboard with the choices written up. Also there’s lots of things I’d never heard of, which made choosing difficult. There were 4 of us and we went for 5 dishes and a bottle of wine. The dishes were very small! They were tasty but for a proper meal we would have needed I reckon at least 12 dishes for the 4 of us. It would be ok for lunch or to pop in for a drink and maybe have a tapas each for a snack. A menu would be better with explanations written underneath, as the server reeled off what they were and then we promptly forgot most of what he said! Several of the dishes came as 3 things. Eg the badger beets. These were little falafel type things on circles of beetroot. Would have been good to pay a bit extra per dish to have 4 things, easier to share! The loos were strange. Black with David Attenborough talking about reptiles . Even the loo paper was black. Overall unless it was a special occasion I thought it was too pricy for a midweek get together with friends.

A Dorset type of Tapas, not your typical spanish tapas, with helpful and informative staff. Nice dishes, some slightly too small
