Service and atmosphere is lovely, however the young girls behind the counter need barista training. The coffees are not great and they don’t seem to know how to make different types of coffees.

I was unhappy about the manager asking me to leave as he believed that I was flirting with his 16 year old daughter who serves behind the bar under his management
We rolled up at 7:30PM with a party of 9, and these guys were more than happy to accommodate us and give us a wonderful evening experience. The food and service was great, warm, friendly and hospitable, all in a unique setting. Thank you.
Kingwood Rotary Club have their weekly lunch-time meeting in one of the dining rooms here in this up-market private membership Golf Club in Saltford (approximately halfway between Bristol and Bath). As former members of another local Rotary Club that had now sadly closed, we had been invited to lunch. Today there was a speaker organised to provide his presentation of ‘The Dramway’ (a nine-mile-long horse-drawn railway carrying coal leading from coalmines in Coalpit Heath to a wharf on the River Avon at Keynsham).
The bar and dining area in the club house was very busy and I was surprised on such a busy lunchtime that there was only one barman on duty. Having eventually purchased our drinks we walked through to a meeting room which was separated-off from the large bar/meeting area by a sliding partition. Such partitions are, by nature, lightweight and this did little to supress the noise generated by the large gathering of people occupying the adjacent area.
That aside our arrival into this meeting room, where tables were laid out and ready for our lunch, was a pleasant experience. The seating was most comfortable and the room was warm. Lunch was promptly served, a chicken roast dinner with coffee to follow. The lunch was very good; the chicken was well cooked and very tender, and the vegetables were excellent and served hot. The meal-size was modest and most satisfactory. I was pleasantly surprised as my usual experiences when dining in a large group (approximately 40 people) is that when many meals are served concurrently the quality of the meals (mostly with the temperature) usually suffer.
Service was most pleasant and efficient here in the dining room and we enjoyed the whole occasion.
Popped in for a snack on Sunday, not expecting hot food, but they were doing roast dinners, freshly prepared, plenty of roast potatoes, parsnips & fresh veg. We had chicken & a nut roast. Really good & closest to a home cooked lunch as I’ve had in a very long time. Definitely go again.
fabulosos bocadillos y golosinas dulces.
I felt compelled to write this and wish to give this parson bakery some love back. This place has a lot of heart. Allow me to explain. I dropped my disabled mum off at bath hospital. As there was no where to park. I drove around for a bit before stopping outside Parsons. As my wife loves their bread pudding. I managed to stop outside to wait for a call to get mum. Popped in to get my wife her bread pudding and a coffee for myself. Whilst I was there I saw outstanding customer service I’ve ever seen and I’m in this industry. Where a lady had her hands for with two small children. The young son had mums card to pay and when completed. The parsons lady helped the struggling mum with her son and other child to their car, so we didn’t run out into the road. This was above and beyond and the staff as a whole deserves praise. With service like this the staff and the lady that helped the struggling mum. Needs the highest of praise.
Atmosphere was great and some of the staff were very friendly but we one member of the staff was quite rude and seemed irritated. Maybe she was just having a bad day but as someone who works as a server at a restaurant I was a bit appalled at her demeanor. Additionally we went as soon as they opened so it wasn’t like they were in a middle of a rush or anything. As soon as we walked in, out of curiosity, I asked if we could be seated outside and the staff member said “no, we don’t have any staff to serve upstairs.” Which is completely fine but the same server came to give us our check and I asked if we could split the bill. She then asked if we want to give a service tip or not so I said yes and then she stood there in silence staring at me for 10ish seconds. Then with a condescending smile she asked “can you do the math” so she then watched me pull out my calculator and do the math for her as we paid. No “thank you” no “have a nice day” or anything. I may be overanalyzing the interaction but my friend and I walked out quite sad. We felt as though we did something to upset her. I don’t know if the question I asked her but her tone and attitude that made it seem as though she absolutely hated her job and was upset with us for whatever reason.
The food took a long time to prepare. It was supposed to be a special occasion for my daughter's First Holy Communion. But, when we informed the server/staff (I forgot to ask her name and I don't want to know) if my daughter can have her dessert, and I told her to have my left over main food which was still so many for take-away. She didn't understand. She put my daughter's plate on top of my plate which was supposed to be for take away. So ofcourse, it was already dirty or not hygienic. I told her that was for take away, she said 'Oh, I thought you said take away- to take away from here'. What?? I asked for the manager and the manager made my 1st order as complimentary but still billed the new order for takeaway. It was such a bad experience. The only positive thing was the interior design which i initially chose because of the occasion.
