Well I suppose this is primarily a golf club. But it does offer a restaurant, which seems to be open to non members. A group of (non sporting) friends therefore gathered for lunch Four out of five ordered Steaks, which, when served, were pretty well inedible! Despite requesting steak knives in an attempt to deal with the problem, most went back to the kitchen uneaten. The offer of a free coffee wasn't really an answer to a poorly cooked meal. I notice not many reviews have been received over time, so I guess this culinary delight is mainly restricted to the golf members!

The organization before hand was excellent and the night ran smoothly and was great value and fun. The bar and waiting staff were efficient and friendly, the food was delicious and it was the best Christmas party I’ve been too. Thank you!

Very poor Sunday Lunch non-event experience! Seated and ordered drinks and two Sunday roast and was informed it was a buffet. Didn't mind this but waitress said we had to wait to be called up. Problem was nobody serving, no good available, not enough staff and they concentrated on kitchen prepared food. After almost 30 mins with no sign of buffet availablity and watching people's meals being brought out we left hungry and disappointed.

Booked for Sunday Lunch. Contrary to common belief you do not need to be a member of Saltford Golf Club to use the Social Facilities. However, for £20 a year you can get social membership which gives about 15% off all drinks and food. The ambiance is lovely and the food is exceptional. There is always a good range of Sunday roasts as well as alternatives and the portions are generous. This time I opted for the Cornish Mussels in a fantastic sauce, one of the best that I have ever tasted. The service is friendly and relaxed with no feeling of being rushed. We stayed for about three hours with leisurely breaks between courses. The desserts were divine. Well worth a visit and once you do you will return. During the week food is taken in the bar (on a par with the best of lounges) starting with breakfast onwards. During the winter months there is no evening service as the club closes.

Saltford's best kept secret is out!!!! What a fantastic Sunday lunch we had here, we had booked a table for four not knowing what to expect. But we were all surprised by the whole experience from start to finish. The staff were all super friendly, and the service was impeccable. We sat at a table overlooking the patio, which we made good use of whilst waiting for our lunch to arrive. The Sunday lunch was one of the best Sunday Lunches that we had eaten (all four of us agreed on this.) in a very long time, everything was cooked to perfection with really large portions. My roast beef was stunningly good, and so was everyone else's meals. Puddings were of equal size & quality, and a good range of beers to boot. This will now be our preferred place for Sunday lunch & we will be back VERY soon....

Catering for post funeral. Booked the middle of the afternoon buffet menu and were delighted. Portions were ample and doggie bags were required. Staff were lovely and a perfect end to a sad day.

We attended a lunchtime function at Saltford Golf Club for over 60 people. The whole experience was first class. Everything was extremely well organised, the food was delicious and the staff could not have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. We will certainly be going there again to sample their Sunday Lunch and their Wednesday Curry Evenings.

Three of our party of four had roast beef, which was sadly disappointingly tough. I sent mine back. It was replaced with very nice chicken. The others struggled through theirs. One person had pork, which was excellent. All nicely presented. However, probably won't go again, as the dining area is very large with children running around and rather like a canteen.

I'm a member at Saltford's Golf Club and always enjoy the top quality food from the menu at Hayward's Kitchen. I've had snacks, lunch, dinners, Sunday roasts and been to quite a few events and never have I not enjoyed the cuisine. Top marks every time. You don't need to be a golfer to eat here so give it a try. I bring my business clients here for a round of golf and lunch and they all sing the praises of the food. Keep it up Hayward's Kitchen.

This visit was to celebrate the SENIOR SECTION golfing awards, and was well supported. The senior section had negotiated a two course meal for £13 per head. the choice of food was braised meat, or chicken and ham pie, followed by fruit crumble or chocolate brownie, tea or coffee. I had the pie which was just superb, followed by the crumble, again an excellent dish. Looking around the tables there were plenty of empty plates, so the food was enjoyed by all. Based on this meal I would have no hesitation in recommending that this is the place to dine in Saltford. The service could be improved, as it seemed we were waiting quite a time with empty finished plates on the table. While it is good to have a rest between courses, it is much better not to have finished plates and cutlery still on the table.

After dining at the golf club a few times, the consistency of the food is fantastic, there is always a great range of fresh exciting dishes on the menu. Our Sunday roast experience has been the most favourite! Big portions, local produce, great value and right on our door step! This place is a hidden gem, thank you Haywards kitchen - we will be back!

I popped into the shop just before Christmas to purchase some “Turtles” and fudge and I received a very warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was beautifully wrapped. If you get a chance to visit this shop you won’t be disappointed - I highly recommend the raspberry pavlova fudge so delicious!

I went for a friend's leaving do. The pub has a good choice of local and popular drinks. The food is tasty and came out promptly. Their menu is varied and when it was served, it had been prepared well.

This is the best fish and chips takeaway in the locality, never had a poor meal. They also offer a range of other takeaway foods but I have not experienced them so far

Huge selection of freshly made sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls etc. The six of us ate in and were all very impressed by our choices. The bread and generous amount of fillings were first class. Uses Hornsea and quirky pottery and a proper teapot and teacup! Very friendly staff. Truly a hidden gem
