Y no podías comer NADA.

I recently visited the ArtBat at the Abbey Hotel, and I was thoroughly impressed! The cocktail menu is fantastic, offering a wide variety of options that cater to all tastes. The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable.
The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, perfect for both intimate gatherings and larger groups. I also loved the stunning local art displayed throughout the space—it adds such a unique and vibrant touch. The highlight for me was the beautiful art installation above the bar, featuring cocktail glasses that really set the tone. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great drinks, a relaxed vibe, and an inspiring setting.
The location was nice, and so was the lady who served; however, the tea was not. I had to re-ask for a hot cup of tea due to the coldness of the one originally purchased. The second somewhat took me back as it appeared to be brewed.
The menu prices are somewhat high, £15.95 for ham, egg, and chips, so we decided not to purchase them.
Will not visit again.
When we arrived we were welcomed by the owner who was lovely and very helpful -- she told us all about the Hub where we could get breakfast, and the bus which would take us into town (very simple route), and even told us about a free walking tour that runs every day at 10:30 and 14:00.
We stayed in a room with an external bathroom which was very clean and tidy. The bedroom was really cosy (lots of pillows, and a choice of either a thick or thin duvet). The room also included a kettle, tea and coffee, and biscuits. Even though the hotel was on the main road, we couldn't hear the traffic at night.
5/5 -- would recommend, and will be back in the future.

Also very close to prior park (national trust)
Visited for lunch one Friday afternoon, friendly welcome and served drinks and seated quickly. Fish & chips and faggots and mash from the lunch menu were ordered, arrived in 20 minutes and both were ok. Quick service friendly staff and ok food.
Came here for lunch as a group of two and had a great experience.
Despite it being a Sunday on a bank holiday weekend, we were seated straight away with no wait. The place had just the right level of buzz—busy, but not overwhelming.
All the staff were polite, friendly, and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived.
The food was absolutely lovely—flavourful, well-prepared, and genuinely felt authentic. It didn’t taste like a franchise trying to imitate traditional dishes. The portions were just right—not too heavy, but still satisfying.
One detail I really appreciated was the open kitchen. It’s small and intimate, but it gives you a sense of trust—like your meal is being cooked with care by real hands.
The cosy décor and ceiling fans added to the charm, giving the place a warm, tropical vibe.
Would definitely recommend!
We stayed here (2 adults, 2 kids 10 and 22) on a Friday night in a family room (quad room). The room was lovely - nicely decorated and bigger than expected. Beds were comfortable (super king bed and 2 singles) . Great tea/coffee station with plenty of teabags and milk.
I was worried about the potential for noise from the pub, and while we could hear the bass from the music, it wasn't loud enough to stop the kids sleeping and it stopped at 11.30pm.
We would definitely stay again
Ludo is a really nice space and very convenient location next to the bus and train stations. The decor and atmosphere is good and the outside area such a sun trap and the staff are so friendly. There is a great selection on draught and some decent cocktails. They show most live sports and there aren't many pubs in Bath for that, but would recommend booking a table for big matches!
One slightly annoying thing is they don't turn the volume up for the sport until dead on the kick off time so you don't hear any of the build up. I appreciate not everyone wants to hear it but they tend to blast loud music out instead.
Also, I came here on a Saturday to watch Bath Rugby and the game happened to be on at the same time as the FA Cup final. So you had the football and rugby commentatory both competing and it was just a big noise really. I think it might be better in those instances where big matches clash, to almost split the bar and have half of the screen on one side showing the football and half showing the rugby, that way, people can watch the game they want and not have to hear the other game as much.
I would highly recommend giving Ludo a go
