I recently visited the ArtBat at the Abbey Hotel, and I was thoroughly impressed! The cocktail menu is fantastic, offering a wide variety of options that cater to all tastes. The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, perfect for both intimate gatherings and larger groups. I also loved the stunning local art displayed throughout the space—it adds such a unique and vibrant touch. The highlight for me was the beautiful art installation above the bar, featuring cocktail glasses that really set the tone. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great drinks, a relaxed vibe, and an inspiring setting.

Basic cocktail menu and took 15 mins for a mimosa and we were the only people in there!

Friendly staff in a good cocktail bar tucked away in the back of a hotel. Lovely espresso martinis

This new cocktail bar and art gallery has opened at The Abbey Hotel. As the name speak itself, this bar is very artsy with showcasing the vibrant creative talent of local artists, photographers and sculptors. It has Sketch books filled with the artists’ workings and ideas on display around the bar. It offers both classic and original cocktails, with the collection of wine glassed have been hung from the ceiling, makes it a perfect ambient to any occasion!

What a disappointment..... the Art Bar has had a makeover... it’s gone from plush, cosy and special to stark, all bar oney.... no longer worth the London prices. So gutted.

My boyfriend and I bump into Curry Mahal a few weeks ago on our trip to Bath, and eating there was THE BEST decision. The food was crazy good (best Indian food I’ve tried), the staff was great and so lovely, and the place overall was really clean and nice! Would highly recommend🫶🏼

Rushed off the table at 9pm even after spending £500+ and clearly nobody else coming after us. Went around to the bar for a drink and after 20 mins still no coffee’s, told they’d not even bothered making them as they were too busy. Food was ok, just your average pub grub.

I would not advise staying at this hotel. It was my first time staying here in an Imerial Suite and it is very dated. The bedrooms are falling apart, the furniture is old and creaky especially the floor and the bed. The mattress was so lumpy, I woke up with a stiff and painful back! It's not value for money for the rooms or the food. A portion of chips cost 8 pounds and they gave literally 8 pieces of chips, when the waiter was advised they bought out another portion with extra chips and charged again. Very disappointing. The spa is also very old, the Aroma Steam Room smells of damp and mould and we could not sit in it for more than 30 seconds. Not the kind of thing I would want to be inhaling. The room had a fan type of heating which caused a cough, the air didn't feel clean. The water from the taps was cold, every time I had to call reception for hot water. I would never stay at this hotel again, it was a waste of money!!! I'm disappointed we spent so much on this place!
