Interesting! Some of the reviews are awful but we had a really good meal. We were a group of 5 and didn't arrive until about 8:20pm on a Saturday evening. The young Thai lad behind the counter could not have been more welcoming and friendly. We had a variety of dishes and they were all great. One of these dishes was Pad Thai and may wife thought it was delicious. I had a red beef curry and it was excellent too. We didn't notice if the tables were sticky and we didn't inspect the loo too closely, but this was because we were too busy having a great time. We had a lovely meal and enjoyed it so much that we returned the following evening. The outdoor seating is in a fabulous position if the weather permits. The indoor seating was snug and a bit quirky. About £15 for a main dish with rice in the middle of Bath? You can't go far wrong with that.

At first, everything was great. The café appeared quaint, and the staff were nice enough. The meals were pleasant enough. Then, when we finished our meals and paid the bill, I noticed how dirty the card machine was, it was incredibly grubby. Then we used the only customer toilet - a unisex toilet - and we saw the filthy toilet, floor, sink, etc. If we'd have seen how filthy the card machine was, and the filthy toilet cubicle, sink, floor, etc, we'd never have eaten there. I would not return, cleanliness is important to me.

Tables were not cleared and sticky. Thai beef salad was overpriced and disappointed in portion size - there was almost as much side salad on the summer roll plate as on the actual salad, which bizarrely was accompanied by a large portion of rice. By contrast it was overloaded with chilli... When I questioned the server she was initially confused about whether the rice should even be there, then returned to tell me that what I had received was "usual".

Excellent Thai food at a reasonable price, particularly given it's location on the river overlooking the spectacular weir. I chose to eat inside the restaurant but there is a popular outside terrace around the corner.

We were looking for an outside eating place and came across Thai Weir in our wanderings. Perfect spot by the river although really awkward for the staff who did very well in coping with the passing public! It was too nice a day to sit inside. Excellent food and really helpful and friendly staff overseen by, we presume, the lady owner who is herself very efficient and welcoming.

Lovely spot by the bridge & weir for a glass of wine & a light lunch in the sunshine. We shared the satay chicken skewers & chilli tempura prawns and both were delicious.

This is the worst thai food restaurant I have ever been in. Food was disgusting. Tom kha soup had lumps of chewy chicken, tomato skin and frozen mushrooms in it with no flavour. Duck rolls were tiny finger sized with no duck in them. Probably from Iceland and one on the plate was completely different, end of last bag? Pad Thai was do horrid. Sloppy and no flavour. Asked for prawn and was given chewy chicken again. No hospitality. Staff sat eating their own food. Don't go here!

Can honestly that I am surprised Thai Weir remains in business if the one experience is any indication. It has a great location - truly it is one of the best in Bath but the food was simply horrible. Pad thai noodles were undercooked and the soup seemed to be thrown together with no thought. Piled too high with napa cabbage leaving no opportunity for any of the layers of the other ingredients to emerge. The fact that no one else was in the restaurant was probably very telling. Left the restaurant hungry and keenly disappointed. Definitely an off night for the chef. Hopefully an isolated event.

Excellent food and location right next to the Weir where you can sit outside., I would strongly recommend the Roast Duck Curry, you can have as spicy as you want.

Absolutely terrible, the rudest people I’ve ever encountered at a restaurant Completely ruined a planned celebration, We booked a tackle for 8 for a small celebration,we were told to order in the restaurant (totally fine) when we got to the counter we were Ridley told we should have ordered at the table. After some sighs they said we could order there. We were then informed we could not order or pay separately, surprised we questioned this-the response was “you can go else where” We then asked if we could order and pay on twos,we were told we could do threes. We were fine with this. When one of us commented to another that the customer service was bad the owner (we checked with the female owner as we left) shouted for us to all leave, told us to go else where and he refused to serve us. We were dumbstruck,I would also like to make clear this was our meeting point we were all pilot and sober which is why it was such a shock. Such a shame as we wanted to support a small business. On a busy summers afternoon it was hard to find somewhere to cater to our party as a walk in. Just disgusted anyone would treat anyone like this let alone a business.

Perfect location overlooking the river. We just stopped here by chance for a drink and had a couple of starters to nibble at. Food was of a good standard and the service was attentive.

The food alone deserves the 5/5! The table waiting was not amazing as our mains were brought out before the starter! But the duck curry was simply quality

We found an unexpected treat beneath the Grand Poultney bridge - a Thai restaurant, run by Thai people! The small restaurant was clean, and offered hand sanitizer. The menu was limited, but had all the Asian essential dishes. We had the best vegetable tempura that I have ever had, light batter with a nice selection of veggies, served piping hot, with a mildly spicy sweet/sour dip. My sweet and sour chicken had a rich sweet sauce, not spicy. The white rice had great texture. My husband had special fish and chips plate, and the batter on the tender fish was crispy and tasty. Unfortunately, no slaw or tartar sauce was offered, but we didn’t ask if those were available. He had a Stella at £3.95/bottle, and I had homemade lemonade, the real thing, and very cold and good. The place is small, about 6 tables with booth and chair seating that was clean and attractive. We did not see the restrooms.

We ordered from Five Guys in Bath via Just-Eat and paid £45 for 3 burgers and 2 fries and it arrived late and stone cold and of very poor quality and included far fewer fries than we used to get when we regularly ordered from them. We stopped regularly ordering because of poor quality and issues with the food and timing alongside very high prices which should be associated with higher quality and service, but this experience confirms our original decision to stop ordering from Five Guys Bath and so we won't anymore, there are lots better burgers and fries in Bath available for far less money.

I was so excited to try these macaroons as I have an obsession with them. From previous reviews I was prepared for the expense and macaroons tend to be pricey anyways but I was disappointed with how dry they were. There were a variety of flavours and colours were beautiful but I was shocked with how dry and flavourless they were. I’ve had macaroons from many places and can say these are sadly the worst.

I’m a travelling Australian and got excited about some home-style food but this was so bad. The rice clumped together like it was days old, the kale was discoloured and the serving size was pitiful. Could have made something much better myself for far less than the £15 I paid for this and a mediocre chai. Service wasn’t even friendly. I’m only giving it 2 stars because I had a juice there a few days ago and it was pretty decent - otherwise it would have been a one. And - on the plus side it didn’t taste terrible but the rice was a bit suss.
