Wow what a discovery family meal for 5 fish was Haddock and Cod medium size however they were absolutely massive and tasted gorgeous. The batter was golden and the fish was flakey and very tasty. The chips were beautiful made from decent potatoes and were of different size but chunky and lovely texture. Everyone commented as to how nice and refreshing it was to have a real decent fish and chips meal for once. Staff were friendly and helpful and presented well. Professional and efficient throughout.
Beautiful place, beautiful food, beautiful drinks. Will be returning soon. Very good full stop. No wait time, atmosphere was amazing and the location is easy to find. Birthday done right!
Got served the wrong mel and no one was interested , paid for something I did not have , so disappointed, this is the third time , never again ,went home and cooked a pizza instead ,
Great selection of vegan friendly burgers on the menu. Initially thought the price was a little high yet the burger varieties were very tasty and with a pot of coleslaw and generous bowl of spicy chips it was an enjoyable meal.
It was our first time trying The Mariners and it was fab! We got a good table by the front window overlooking the bay and outside seating so we could enjoy the lovely evening.
I didn’t catch her name but there was one lady handling the bar and orders on her own downstairs and she did an awesome job, was proper on top of everything and was friendly too.
The food was amazing! So tasty and really interesting options too. Not the cheapest but for the name attached to the pub it’s not surprising, but also very fair because the food was extremely well done. The chicken thigh madras curry in particular was delicious.
It was quite loud at times so occasionally difficult to hear each other, but overall a great atmosphere. Will gladly return one day!
Absolutely fabulous place, standard of food is high and consistent.
Rooms are elegant and comfortable, vary in size but all are well equipped and beautifully decorated. Staff are a really well oiled machine, superb, you'd be hard pushed to find people who work so well together giving the customers a flawless service.
This is simply our favourite pub...I have lost count how many times we have been here and we don't even live close! We travel from Sussex several times a year, a good 3 hour drive and the Masons Arms is a MUST for us each and every time! We have since bought many family and friends here too.
Always a great menu and great service. My 12 year old daughter is a huge fan of your padron peppers and chorizo bites!
This is the epitome of a quaint English village pub with all the character you would expect and we absolutely love it.
Hopefully we'll be back in August next.
(Ps If you could bring back your epic ploughman's youd get 6*!!)
Hidden gem above Warrens Bakery, easily missed when walking along St Ives Harbor. The views from the outside terrace are gorgeous, overlooking the sea and people walking from the balcony. Food was delicious. They had a lunch deal on which was a small glass of wine/prosecco and a choice of either mussels, fish & chips or caesar salad for £20. I went for the mussels and they didn't disappoint. The sauce was amazing. The two ladies working were so kind and attentive. Service was great. I wish I lived closer because this would become my new lunch spot.
