A lovely meal with outstanding service. Thank you for making dad's birthday extra special. Great food and atmosphere.

Pizza and pasta dish were very tasty, it tasted really Italian.

I lived in Italy for 7 years, this was the best Italian food I have had since I left, the service was impeccable and professional, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was superb. 10/10 I will definitely be back to try the pizza

Normally we would have gone to Biancos, now sadly closed so we thought we would give it a try as it is run by the same family. The food was superb and the service fantastic being attentive but not overbearing. We will certainly be returning.

Staff super friendly and offers a wide choice on menu with gluten free and vegan options. Restaurant was clean and set up nicely. Service was good, food was fresh and very tasty. Only disappointing thing was vegan wines were pretty non existent which was a shame. Would love to revist.

Lovely place, really nice atmosphere. Food was fantastic thevinlh issue was the food took a while to come out. I had a blue steak so really should have been no time. Would still go back as the food was that good.

Have been here many times but was very disappointed with the service today, it started well but once we had been served our main course we were completely forgotten. No-one asked if we would like another drink, dessert or coffee. Although we noticed that a Spanish couple on the table opposite (who arrived after us) received very attentive service by a male waiter who spoke fluent Spanish, receiving their main course, dessert and coffee while we had only had our starter and main course. We were completely ignored and sat for approx 30 mins before we had to ask for the bill. We will give 10/10 for the food but the lack of attentiveness spoilt it for us.

This is a lovely restaurant, family run, the food is brilliant and the staff are amazing. We went for our anniversary and had a really great time

Great place, anazing food, great value for money..

It's been a good ten years since I last ate here. Whilst I'd never experienced a bad meal, I had always felt it was a little lacklustre, especially in comparison to its 'big brother' Bianco's across the road. Fast forward to 2025 and it was like eating in a different restaurant. Loved the contemporary interior decor, and the service and food were exceptional. Hearty portions of main courses, a side dish, one pint, one 250ml glass of wine, and two desserts cost slightly south of £70 which I thought was very reasonable.

Had eaten here previously and had hoped the food had improved. Sadly it hasnt.

We highly recommend this restaurant if you are craving for an Italian cuisine. Chef Charlie gave this restaurant a chef kiss for a legit Italian taste, "feels like I'm in Italy again" he commented. We will deffinetly come back here. 👌🏻🫶🏻

Lovely meal good atmosphere. Gluten free options were great. My husband had the insalata fruitta de mer - loved it. The steak was perfectly cooked and the bolognese was just right

The reason I give 2 stars is because our experience was spoiled by another customer whom was loud and very inappropriate. It was fortunate that children were not present . We noticed that the staff did not approach the situation which was really frustrating and therefore this negative outweighed any positives. Really dissapointing holiday meal.

The pizza was absolutely delicious – a solid 10/10, and that’s why a 5 stars!However, the tiramisu was disappointing and didn’t taste like the real deal, so I’d give it a 5/10. The service was very slow, which took away from the overall experience.

Really great food and service. Fantastic value, and a favourite for my annual visits to Torquay - always pleased to see that it's still going strong. The food is excellent quality, with great gluten free and vegan and vegetarian options.

Portion is good. The quality of food is alright but wouldnt come back for the same food we had. The risotto rice is wee bit hard, seafood in the pasta bit soggy. The service is great! Lovely staff. See my review about the italian place next door.

You know you're in for a great night when they are fully booked, The food and customer service were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend this family run business. We will definitely book again.

A wonderful experience all round. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant and would certainly visit again on our next trip to Torquay. The restaurant has lovely decor,the atmosphere is calm and friendly all the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and really good value for money.Compliments to the chef. We visited a couple of times on our stay one being my birthday evening,which I had chosen purely on our first visit at the start of our holiday. Well done to all at Amici they certainly have done it all right👌👏👍

We had a fantastic meal at Amici in Torquay! The food was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. A special thanks to Jose, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming—we really appreciated his hospitality. Highly recommend for great Italian food and a warm atmosphere!

Had a lovely meal here for our daughter’s 19th Birthday. Food was delicious and very well presented. Service was excellent too. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

Popped here while on a break in Torquay - did not have to book and just strolled right in. Main dinner portions were a real good size - enough to fill you up for the night. Pudding really good as well and the standard shot of limoncello at the end. Cannot moan at the price at the end of the meal either. Family run business and the service was top notch.

We visited for dinner today to celebrate my 30th. We ordered 7 different dishes with each one being perfect! Portions were very generous and the waiter was very friendly. My only disappointment is that we do not live local as I would love to visit more often!!

Food was Excellent as always, went to amici for my birthday meal wih my family, was surprised with a dessert with staff singing happy birthday, felt really looked after by all the team!

Walked in, hadn't booked but very quickly seated into a very busy and nice atmosphere promt but not overwhelming service. Good peroni, massive portions of pasta 😋. Great value for money. Two very happy customers and will be back soon.

What a fabulous restaurant. We were a family of 16 adults spending the weekend in Torquay. We booked our table a while ago due to the size of our party. I emailed the restaurant a week before our visit with our choices for our main courses. On arrival we were greeted by a staff member. We were shown to our table within minutes. Despite the fact that there 16 of us the food was brought to us with such efficiency that we all were actual able to eat at the same time. Other restaurants I have been to have not managed to achieve this. All our meals were hot, tasty and of great quality. Massive credit to the kitchen staff . The bar and waiting staff were fabulously efficient and friendly. They couldn't do enough to help. Thankyou Amici

We hadn’t been to Amicis for a very long time, but decided to give it a go for a family birthday meal. A great choice in the menu, with plenty of veggie options, and service was super speedy. The meals were lovely, but the portions defeated us! You definitely won’t leave hungry. Service was also top quality, all the staff were on it and really lovely. We will definitely be coming back, and recommending to anyone in the Torbay area!

Great meal at Amici, food was delicious and good portion sizes. Good wine selection and lots of other options of mains and deserts on the special board. We will definitely visit again on our next visit to Torquay.

Brilliant experience with Amicis tonight. We visited for my Mother in Laws 60th birthday. Prior to coming, their communication was prompt and clear. They knew it was for a birthday so decorated the table with banners which was really kind and lovely touch. Our waitress Jordanna was so accommodating and nothing was ever too much of an ask. A very warm and welcoming environment. And to top it off, the food was delicious! We will definitely visit again, as will our large group who were all happy with their experience! Thank you!

We LOVE this restaurant!! Are favourite restaurant in Torquay. The atmosphere is so nice and the food is amazing. Recommend going when you want something nice and delicious. The service is wonderful and the waiters even spoke a little bit Italian which made us feel very happy! Love love love this restaurant and will definitely be coming back

It was our first time eating here and what a lovely experience it was. Staff were very polite and efficient, plus the service was good. Food was top quality. We ordered the Duck and it was fabulous, we could not fault the dish. We would go as fare as to say, it was the best duck we'd ever tasted !! We decided to have desserts. These too were fabulous and beautifully presented. We had the Chocolate Cake and the Tiramasu. I've got to add that it was the best Tiramasu I've ever eaten, and my fella really enjoyed The chocolate fudge cake. We will definitely be returning and can't recommend this place enough. THANKS FOR A LOVELY MEAL AND GREAT SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE

Celebrated my grandma’s 80th birthday here and it was wonderful! They went above and beyond to make the experience special, we really appreciated it. The food was excellent! Will be back soon :)

Food so good we came two days running

Lovely meal with family in honour of Angela, this was her favourite restaurant. The food was excellent, a bit slow on service, and needed more staff, but otherwise as good as ever. Revised this evening, Jan 2025, I was disappointed with my meal, the bruschetta was lacking in taste and the lasagne was all sauce and no meat, and bland, my salad came with no dressing, I had to ask for some. My husband enjoyed his meal (mushrooms to start and steak).

Absolutely fabulous meal at Amicis last night. The food was very good. Authentic and fresh. Our waiter Jose was very friendly, efficient and helpful. We will definitely return to this lovely restaurant.

Disappointed. Ordered a takeout. I told them not to rush (twice) while I had a beer at the bar but the pizza arrived before I had finished - and I was thirsty. The pizza was no way cooked enough, went cold quickly for not being cooked, was a bit of a mess and did not taste great (con carne pizza). The charming service and the beer could not have been better. Perhaps I will eat in next time because they were busy with a convivial crowd on a cold January evening Torquay. Summary: good service but rubbish pizza. Bar's way higher for pizza these days.

Me and my partner went here for our anniversary the staff were lovely, the food was lovely as well and the service was efficient also really hard to find places where the staff don't constantly come and check how everything is it's something that annoys me and my partner but while at Amici's we didn't get asked this until after we'd finished eating. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous Food! Always a pleasure here at my favourite Italian Restaurant. Staff always so friendly. Food is exceptional and atmosphere relaxed. Thought about something different but couldn't resist the Chicken and Mushroom Risotto. Enjoyed a bellini too, delicious. Thank you!

Staff are really lovely, food is OK, service is like fast food... so quick! Finished starter and that was immediately swapped for the main. For parties etc, I would say fine, but for a date or family meal it's VERY loud. It was a relief to leave so we could talk and hear each other. The parties in there, looked to be having a great time. Maybe seat parties together and save the other section for smaller tables.

Excellent restaurant. Really superb food and friendly, helpful staff- cannot be faulted. 19 of us- pre-booked meals- everything was spot on. Highly recommend. If you like fish -try the Sea Bass with roasted Mediterranean vegetables.

Visited once again with a friend to enjoy a lovely meal. Staff were attentive yet again, with José being a stand out. He remembered me from last time which was a wonderful surprise, and just like last time he was quick and professional with his service. Food was as good as before and wait time was short. We had a lovely meal for 4 here recently. Service was exceptional with patience, courtesy and professionalism. The food was fantastic and all 4 enjoyed our drinks, starters, main courses, desserts and coffees. The portion sizes are large so make sure you are hungry! Would fully recommend!

Lovely food and good service but we went on a Saturday evening which was very busy and so very loud. Also had quite a wait for our pre-booked table but overall a good experience and would definitely revisit, possibly when it's a little less busy!

Had a lovely meal at Amici's. Real authentic italian food, made just the way you like. The team are happy to accomodate for people personal tastes. The restaurant is clean and has a lovely ambience. This was our first time here but will definately come back when we visit Torquay again!

Last Sunday night, I was there for dinner and had a gorgonzola hamburger. It was so delicious, tasty, and fresh—and authentically Italian! 😜 One of the staff offered me a limoncello, which I really appreciated. It made me happy. 🙏🏻 Highly recommended!

We had only booked our table that afternoon and I'm not sure how we actually got a table because it was heaving when we got there, it seemed very popular. The food was lovely and the prices were reasonable. There was plenty choice on the menu and the staff were friendly.

Went here for a later dinner with the Mrs and the atmospheres great, and can’t fault the service. We were served by Jose and his style of service is amazing, polite and was incredibly fast, would come again. We had the Prosciutto pizza and lasagna which were both quite nice and a great tiramisu for desert.

Came here twice on a trip away with my family. Excellent service, the waiter was fantastic with my son. Had a gorgeous lasagne and pizza. Very lovely setting, will return next time I’m in the area!

We had a two course meal for £85 with tip. We ordered the meat antipasto for two for a starter, which was very good but could have had more meats. Our mains were risotto a frutti de mare which was good. The other main was calamari fritti and prawns. Unfortunately, this wasn’t such a great dish. However, our Spanish waiter was amazing.

Lovely authentic Italian food with superb service, our only ever gripe is the overly loud music which is off-putting and unnecessary, please turn it down, low is best to give us a chance to talk and hear ourselves think, remember less is more, otherwise great

The service here is outstanding, Phoebe was so nice, friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, prices are reasonable, all the starters and mains were delicious so we decided to return after an hours walk to try the desserts as well. Definitely going to come back if we travel to Torquay again.

The best Italian restaurant in Torquay

Enjoyed the food. Service was a little slow but all staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend the Tomato and Avocado starter.

Food was good but I think we arrived during a shift change, so service wasn't what we have come to expect.

We came across this place by chance during our trip to Torquay, and we were so lucky there was a table available! The food is amazing! The moment you look at the waiters, they are right there, never keeping you waiting. They handle the busy atmosphere very professionally and with a smile. I highly recommend it in every way!

Just back from a fabulous meal at Amici. Great choice of food and wine at reasonable prices. Our night made all the better by our waiter Jose. Bland food. Service is very poor. the waiter runs around aimlessly whilst forgetting to process orders. Resulting in long waits getting food and the same between courses. If you want good Italian food you would be better going to Prezzo than visit here. On a previous visit, we got a plastic ring from a bottle top in our Tiramassou. So, I guess we should not have revisited. They seem to have a monopoly for Italian food in Torquay as they run Bianco's restaurant, too. Go elsewhere if you want any decent quality, there are many other good restaurants nearby.

Food delicious Crab ravioli recommend

Unfortunately quite a disappointing experience. My husband ordered a Devon Rock - when it arrived it tasted and smelled like vinegar so that had to be sent back. I ordered a tango orange which also definitely wasn’t tango but was okay. Our mains arrived fairly swiftly and were generous portions - the food was average rather than great. I asked for two glasses of tap water which took over 20 minutes to arrive and had to be chased up twice. Dessert took 40 minutes to come, which in my opinion is an unacceptable wait - I also had to chase these twice before they arrived. We had to rush our desserts as our taxi was due to come. They did take the price of the cheapest pudding off the menu in the end but all in all it wasn’t a great experience and I certainly wouldn’t rush back!

Every time we come to Torquay on holiday, we always have dinner at Amici, it's our favourite restaurant there! The food is incredible, the portion sizes are huge and very reasonably priced. The staff are all fantastic, especially the lovely Jordanna. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Unable to get a take away. Told to leave a voicemail. Did that, after no contact for 30 minutes,went to the location. Told they were too busy for take away! No indication on website or messaging service.

Very disappointed to be told that the grill was broken and chicken and beef meals were not available. This was only pointed out after we had purchased drinks. If we had been told on entering we could have made a decision on staying or leaving. Feel as though the process was intentional.

The Italian waitress whose name I didn’t catch was so welcoming, friendly and warm. She couldn’t have been more helpful and checking on us and our food and telling us about the local fish that is brought to them. The food was also great and loved the music.

Absolutely fantastic went in for a birthday with the family, staff were warm and friendly, food was amazing genuinely the best Italian that I've ever had, even the kids loved it, will defo go back
