Great food and brilliant staff.

Really good food! Honestly the most tastiest meats and the tiramisu is the best grill I’ve ever tasted. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the entertainment, the music was too loud for a restaurant and the smashing plates (though I understand is traditional) made me lose my appetite, I also had a plate shard hit me on the shoulder (no injuries) so it might not be a good idea to do so close to guests. Basically you’d probably be better of going in the week so the entertainment isn’t there

Lovely food and atmosphere, our waiter Sakis was so friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend the halloumi with fig jam to start and a bottle of the Plano wine!

This is a wonderful restaurant, serving authentic Greek dishes cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and flexible, and every dish we ate was delicious. We started with grilled octopus, skordalia, Greek salad and an aubergine dish, then a seafood platter with perfectly balanced ladolemono, gemista and pastitsio. Afterwards we enjoyed galaktoboureko. Greta to see good Greek wines on the list too.

Enjoyed another very good lunch here today. We ordered homemade meatballs to share and then enjoyed Kleftico Lahanikon ( see veggie dish below) and Sheftalis (pork and lamb sausages)

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at your establishment to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. 🎉🥂 The staff were exceptionally courteous and attentive. The service was remarkably prompt and efficient. There was a diverse array of culinary options available. Some of the dishes were unique and unfamiliar to us, and they were presented in innovative ways. All the starters we sampled were absolutely delicious. 😋 We share our courses. We ordered Sifado beef stew. I've eaten this in Greece several times. It was OK. The gravy was kinda sour & a bit bland. Nothing special or very Greek. The Kelftico Lamb in Filo pastry was like nothing I've ever eaten & not in a good way, unfortunately. The parcel was OK. However, it's hot & comes with a rich hot gravy and plated with a cold garden salad covered in tangy vinaigrette. It wasn't nice. I'd never order again. It's not a good combination, in my opinion & I'm not fussy. We had fantastic starter's & delightful dessert. 😋🍰 Reasonable price, too. The location is fantastic. Free car park after 6 pm around the corner. 🚗 We would return but try different mains, obviously. Or double up on starter's 😆

Excellent service included being unphased by our large group changing plans at the last minute. Also the bar staff were exceptionally helpful, made me a hot toddy (I explained what that is), and served us a starter to share while we were waiting for our table.

Great location, nice atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff. Some food was great, some not so great. I had a BBQ pork steak which was like cardboard (definitely not freshly cooked) and the sauce was a bit synthetic-tasting, but the souvlaki was great, freshly cooked and tender. Feta and spinach pie was ok but a bit heavy, but I know there's different styles in different parts of Greece. I prefer a lighter filo pastry. Scallops were very nice. The greek house wine (red) went well with the food. Desserts were great, the semifreddo was divine.

At a work night out, the staff were very friendly and had all 27 of us well looked after. The food was lovely, with very generous portions. We will definitely be back!

Great food and excellent service. Lovely atmosphere. The lamb chops were a little dry and some salad or veg would have been nice but still enjoyed it. Love it here!

Regular visitors. Lovely setting looking out onto the do k basin with the tall ships, and canal boats and lovely sunsets from their conservatory. The food is delicious.

Lunch or dinner, this is our favourite Greek restaurant, lovely location and friendly staff, lunch menu is well priced and perfect portion sizes.

Yammas 🤭Absolutely loved it here a real taste of Greece, the ambience inside was perfect, staff were attentative and the drinks on offer were great. So we started with the Ouzo of course. The food was both generous and gorgeous. We will definitely be visiting again soon

One of the best meals out in Gloucester. Fantastic cocktails, really delicious food at excellent prices, attentive staff and a beautiful setting. Can’t go wrong! The calamari was particularly good.

Had lunch here on Saturday with a group of friends and it was truly excellent on every level. Venue, ambience, food and service were all exceptional, just a shame that we all live so far away as we would definitely be regular diners.

Lovely place, Fast service and very tasty food. I chose the pork with aubergine puree and paprika feta cream. It was really tasty but would have benefited from fresh greens for texture and quite soft textures. Otherwise it was an excellent meal. I'll know for next time!! Hubby had the mixed grill which he said was very tasty and filling. Our server was very pleasant too.

Good atmosphere, with a large menu and good cocktails. Friendly staff who were knowledgeable about the menu too. Recommend.

Wow! This place was absolutely delightful. Considering it was midweek it was busy! We were greeted and seated quickly. Straight away water was brought to table and shortly after the waiter took our drinks order. The aroma of foods in the restaurant were scrumptious! I ordered the Souvlaki and my husband ordered the smaller of the Athena mixed Grills. We were not ready for how amazing the food tasted. Honestly it was delicious! The tzatziki was phenomenal! Our waiter was a great server, so polite and friendly!! We will most definitely be back!!

Best tasting Greek food in the UK. I was in the Greek Islands 2 years ago. The starters and main dishes were authentic.

Wasn’t great first off was seated very close to another table felt very close and tight in between tables we both sat and looked at the menu for a while the food wasn’t the best both left over half each of our meal paid and left no one asked if the food was ok I did say something at the end of the meal but nothing was done poor from them won’t be going back

Ate at this place this evening and it was so good I'm compelled to write my first google review. I've been in Gloucester for 3 days and 5/6 people have recommended this place so I had to check it out. In my experience, it's very easy to go to a Greek restaurant and see the same things (and only the same things) on the menu; Souvlaki, moussaka, spanakopita etc. While these options are still here, the is plenty of lesser known but nonetheless authentic Greek dishes to choose from which is so refreshing. If you can't spell/say them, it's probably a good sign! All in all, this ensures that all expectations and preferences are covered. Smart! Working in the wine industry myself, I was thrilled to see a similar authenticity extended to the drinks menu where there are grape varieties and after dinner drinks I'd never heard of before. The food I ordered was (on the face of it) technically simple (I'm sure it isn't!) which made my enjoyment even more satisfying. Again, I can't remember the names of let alone spell the names of the dishes I ate but I went for: -Mushrooms and spinach baked under cheese -Swordfish steak, lemon butter sauce with rice and green beans -Filo pastry stuffed with cinnamon custard All were simply delicious which I would breakdown and gush over more if I was a professional critic, but just trust me. I will say however that wouldn't usally highlight the carb element of a main but I can't remember the last time I had rice so tender and so flavourful. All this paired with a little know Malagousia wine with starter and main followed by a Greek take on port (again *names* but you can miss it on the pudding menu) meant I was in a very happy place. Aesthetically, the restaurant was just right for me- clean and modern in a beautiful, historic part of the city. The staff were clearly well trained and organised- little touches like automatic table water go a long way in my opinion. Regrettably, I forgot to grab my server's name. He was an older Greek gent (I did check, not assuming!) who was friendly and attentive without being over bearing. He was obviously knowledgeable & passionate about his country's cuisine and wine. A MASSIVE thanks to him, the runners, bartenders and especially the kitchen staff who treated me to a wonderful night of food and service. Maybe I just haven't been to many good Greek restaurants, but I will be raving about this place for AGES to everyone (most of who will probably never even come to Gloucester!) but I'll be sure to stop by whenever I'm in this neck of the woods. Sure, it is an above average price point and I will always quietly grumble when I get my main on a square/rectangular plate but a) I truly think it's worth it and b) only a idiot would mark a place down for crockery choices when everythingelse was so steller! ευχαριστώ πολύ, ομάδα!!!

We had the chicken Gyros for lunch and they were so good loaded with chips chicken and it was super good quality and was incredibly tasty!

Great food at affordable prices, lovely setting and the service was first class, if I'm in the area I will be going back, I suggest you give it a visit.

I was super impressed with this restaurant. I love that they cater to families so well. The kids menu was varied and healthy and my 5-year-old tucked into his chicken skewer, chips and healthy portion of ketchup with gusto. There was even a Greek restaurant terminology wordsearch for him to do while he was waiting, which was fun and interesting. All this meant that we adults could chat and enjoy the friendly ambience. My meal was delicious and the flavours sent me straight back to holidays in Greece. There was a large amount of food but I finished every last bite. The bill was very reasonable. We didn’t get any wine but there was an interesting looking wine list and if we come back for dinner then I will definitely sample some.

My family ate at Greek at the Docks with visiting relatives as a party of seven. The children’s menu has word searches on the back with Greek words spelled in the Roman alphabet that came with a rainbow pencil. The children’s menu offered a variety of simple, quality meals at a good price point. The regular menu has some great options. I had the grill feast with five different grilled meats, with fries chips, pitta, and two sauces. The food came to less than £100 for the seven of us.

First time eating here and the service and food are top notch! Everyone is friendly, attentive and welcoming, you can tell this is a great place to work for as the staff are genuinely smiling. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing while also getting your food at a reasonable time in between meals. The view of the docks is beautiful and I bet it’s romantic at night! The food is absolutely delicious! They don’t skimp on food! The portion size, the quality, the flavours… all very tasty and filling! I normal have 2 courses when going to a restaurant but this time I went for 3 because everything tasted so good, I wanted dessert! Definitely going to eat here again.

Ate here on Sunday, late afternoon after the Rhyt6a d Blues festival. Restaurant looked great, friendly staff on reception, got a front table, it was really hot but they have parasols. Service was perfect, food was delicious 😋, prices were reasonable. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely superb. The service is attentive (but not "excessively present"), but as good as the venue and waiting staff are, the food is the real star of the show. For my family of four picky eaters to have completely cleared their plates for mains and dessert is an achievement in itself! The pork souvlaki, in particular, was succulent, perfectly marinated and seasoned - but I'm biased because that's what I had. Even my youngest went wide-eyed at the "amazingly tasty!" chicken skewer. Result all round!

Beautiful setting, friendly and helpful staff but food was a let down on this occasion. We thought we’d try this due to the great reviews, and before I explain why the food let us down I will say that we do intend to return as everything else was brilliant and with the number of good reviews we have to suspect this was perhaps a one off. We arrived around 4pm so not ideal as between lunch and dinner services but it was open and serving food, so we decided to have a very early dinner. My wife and daughter had a chicken skewer each and I had the pork skewer. We waited a good 40mins for the food to arrive but when it did the meals were not hot. The meat and chips were lukewarm but we were hungry and let this go. However all of the meat was overcooked so was very dry with not much in the way of seasoning. My daughter didn’t want her meat and my wife the same. Chips although lukewarm were very nice, salad was seasoned although my wife had some grit in hers which we did flag to the staff. Pitta and other bits were lovely. Toilets etc absolutely spotless. I do feel as though it must be better than this, maybe our food was left sat for some time and the meat left too long on the grill. Perhaps the starters and smaller sharing plates are better. Either way we will be back but it wasn’t a great meal this time.

Great venue being by the docks, our group had to move outside because of the size, were we were greeted by seagulls trying to nick our food. Was funny to begin with but tedious afterwards. I know this isn’t the restaurant fault but put a slight damper on the experience

Was open little earlier than advertised which was great and the choice of food is incredible as well kinda makes you believe your in a pocket of Greece next to the docks, ended up having a salad with plenty of prawns and muscle and was actually beyond nice, had some amazing food and fantastic service as well

Food was okay Swordfish was lovely but had a bone in it I understand this happens but was a shock as I almost choked on it. Great value for money but probably wouldn’t go again it’s not like it used to be missing its old touch.

I just left Greek on the Docks tonight, the food was mediocre but I didn't want to complain. However, I went home and started to feel unwell. Straight to the point, I've just been projectile vomiting all over my bathroom!! I had the salmon. Just be careful eating here. Staff and ambiance is lovely though if I must find a positive to this situation.

Fabulous food, fantastic service, great atmosphere, a great place to eat for friends, families and couples. Great choice of very tasty Greek food, none of us had a bad meal and we went for the full three courses plus cocktails to top it off. Not sire who served us but it was the guy withe beard and glasses who’s off to Greece next week (sorry if that doesn’t narrow it down!). Absolutely recommend this place. Rarely come into Gloucester but we shall be back more and more as we found some really cool bars and restaurants around the docks and city centre.

Friday lunchtime: lunch menu was reasonably priced and good choices. The restaurant was relatively quiet, service was excellent, food was fine but slightly underwhelming. Nice location on the docks. Will try again.

We were late to arrive due to unforseen circumstances but they happily provided us with a table, the food was superb helped greatly by our waiter who's suggestions were brilliant. Service was quick and food hot sadly no pictures of it, but we got a picture taken outside by our lovely waiter, will certainly be back

This place is deserving of 5 stars all round, absolutely fabulous place, the food is incredible, the staff are so helpful and cheerful, such a wonderful restaurant. Absolute must if you are visiting Gloucester.

We came here because previous reviews said the restaurant was dog friendly. To me that means dogs are allowed in the restaurant. This wasn’t the case so we sat outside which was okay since the weather was nice-ish. Service was very fast. We had Greek Dip Selection for starters which was amazing, especially the aubergine dip. It only came with 4 small slices of pita bread though so it might be good to order extra. I had the Grilled Swordfish for main and it tasted really good. If you’ve never had swordfish before, it’s a very dense fish, so if you like flaky fish like sea bass it might not be for you. My husband had the Souvlaki which he enjoyed but I didn’t like. It tasted a bit tough and a bit too “meaty” for me. And be careful of the seagulls if you sit outside, they will try to steal your food!

Having lived in Greece food was ok had chicken gyros , could do with a better salad , tomato and onions , not an olive in sight which was a real surprise , not many people in there but it was mid afternoon, waiters seemed somewhat bored with it all , nice restaurant just needs an atmosphere, quite un greek like .

If you like Greek food that’s your place. I am grateful that they were very kind to accomodate my dietary requerimenrs

Lovely lunch today for a special birthday. Staff were welcoming and atmosphere was lovely. Food was delicious. Highly recommend. The little cake with a sparkler and candle was an added bonus for my mums birthday. Thank you.
