The best restaurants in South West

Wow, what a lovely welcoming local pub. We had a long day of travelling and managed to call to get a last minute table after seeing good reviews. The staff were friendly and patient and the atmosphere is cosy and quirky but nice and relaxing! Now onto the food, we ordered the bacon cheeseburgers on pretzel buns and they were genuinely amazing. Son had a chicken burger kids meal which was very generous and the cheesy chips were a huge portion and smothered in melted cheese. We were really impressed by the prices, the portions and the place in general. Despite not being locals it didn’t feel like we were out of place. There was our family of 6 and 3 small dogs and we felt comfortable and welcome. Would happily go back again. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend for a good proper cocktail by people who know what there doing! Great quality and speakeasy vibe!

The server was so kind and brought me some ice water and helped me pick out some dishes from the menu and I have to tell you I was running home to eat it I have gone there whenever I wanted to treat myself beacuse I know they won’t disappoint

Simply the best fish and chips around. Visited every time on holiday in the area. 5 years in a row and always delicious. Thoroughly recommended.

Slightly overpriced, nice food, if you want coleslaw on your kabab you have to buy a tub separate (bit cheeky) the place is very clean

Me and my girlfriend rate all the restaurants we go to based on 3 criteria- food, price, atmosphere. This is the only restaurant which has scored 5/5 for every category out of the ones we've been to. Not sure how much significance that carries... but yeah, Kal Dosa is great. Our waiter (Rahul) offered probably the highest level of customer service I have experienced at a restaurant, especially for a birthday dinner. We will definitely be returning :)

Gone down hill since changing hands - smaller less quality fish with too many simple take away order mistakes l (mushy peas today which should have been curry sauce), with little effort to address concerns.

Absolutely EXCEPTIONAL food - the best pub food I've ever eaten! I've been back two weekends running and the menu is different, interesting and locally sourced. Hearty fare with delicate flavours, I suspect it might be difficult to get a table here in the near future. I hope so - they deserve it! It's exceptionally well priced for what it is. I can't say enough good things about this place! I also love the decor and atmosphere; sympathetic and in keeping with the age of the pub, it feels like you're going back in time. Haberton is also a super sweet village. Parking is difficult (especially if you have a big car!), but we manage to find somewhere at the bottom of the hill, then it's just a short walk up.

Fantastic pub with a brilliant selection of beers, ales, and wines. Very reasonably priced. It's a warm day, and the air conditioning is a welcome relief. Staff are helpful and friendly. It's definitely worth a visit.

A gem of a find! Spotlessly clean, food amazing, the breakfast was superb. The hosts were exceptional. We will return in the autumn. Absolutely faultless.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Room was very comfortable and lots of little extras included. Welcome and atmosphere and ambience was exceptional. Food excellent. Hosts were fantastic. Many thanks . We shall definitely return.

Very friendly helpful, and a good price . Got food very quickly , was very tasty . Nice to visit there again , not been for a couple of years.
