Kori Korean Restaurant exceeded my expectations with their outstanding service and delicious food. I recently ordered a stew called budae jeon gol, but since the options were limited to pork and beef (which I don’t eat), I requested a customization with chicken. The restaurant family went above and beyond, calling me to confirm the customization in a friendly and attentive manner. Unfortunately, my initial order was canceled due to an issue with Uber delivery. However, when I reordered the same dish immediately, the restaurant once again contacted me to confirm and started preparing it from scratch. Such dedication to customer satisfaction is rare and truly commendable. When the stew finally arrived, it was absolutely worth the wait. The flavors were rich and comforting, perfect after a long and tiring day. It felt like a bowl of soulful warmth, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the effort they put into making it special. I highly recommend Kori Korean Restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Korean food with exceptional service. I will undoubtedly order from them again and encourage my friends and family to do the same. A big thank you to the team at Kori for turning my day around with their amazing stew!

This is a very authentic Korean restaurant which manages to prepare dishes from all regions of Korea which is impressive. Dishes are fairly priced also.

Today was our first visit to this little gem but it definitely won’t be our last! The relaxed atmosphere, the friendliness of the host & his lovely wife, (the chef) & of course the food! Neither my husband or I had tried Korean food before - boy, were we missing a treat! We had a range of food: delicious Dumplings,, amazing Korean fried chicken (so good we got a take-away portion as well!) & that was just for starters - our mains were equally delicious. Already planning our return trip - thank you guys!

I went to Isakdang yesterday, and the owner and chef were really friendly! There were only a few other tables besides us, so the atmosphere was very nice and quiet. But I think there are some areas for improvement. Firstly, the service seemed a little slower than expected. My father's food didn't come out until my mother and I finished eating. Second, the food plating seemed to need improvement. The dish was served on a slightly ordinary plate, so I couldn't feel the uniqueness of Korean food. I think the visual of food is a very important part.

Recently after change of ownership, my family went out for dinner at Kori’s Korean restaurant and the staffs, food, presentation was superb and atmosphere were full marks! Every single dish had that authentic Korean taste, which I know from experience (as I have lived in uk over 20 years and have visited Korea every few years!) that I could only get them from Korea alone but this restaurant is one of the best esp in Bournemouth. I had a tofu stew/soup, with dolsot bibimbab and glass noodles. I finished every single dish completely with no leftovers! Will visit again in the future, as I’ve already done so~ Thanks guys ☺️

we come to kori every now and then, its always been good in terms of the food, but yesterday it was amazing - every dish was delicious - i had kimchi pancakes (kimchi-jeon) and kimchi jigae. my good lady had a mix of eat in and take out, which she really enjoyed. Very high quality ingredients and really well cooked Korean style, we always have a good time thanks the hosts.

Best Korean food I've had in years. Ordered Spicy Fried Chicken, Rose Cheese Tteokbokki, and Osam Bulgogi. Everything was incredible.

I came here on a group trip with church and it was really really good! The food is delicious, I particularly enjoyed the Korean fried chicken, but everything else I had or tried was great too. The staff are super friendly, helpful and kind- we even got complimentary kimchi! Overall, it's a great place to eat- very nice food and very nice people in a very nice place!

Authentic Korean food with great service. I've usually gotten Kori on Deliveroo, This was my second dining there and it was amazing. The food is delicious and the owners are so kind and friendly. Can't recommend Kori highly enough. Once you've had their fried chicken, you'll never go back to KFC! It's so good!

Delicious food and lovely people. We don't eat red meat and they were very welcoming with our requests. One of the best Korean Fried Chicken I have had in the area and our first Hot Pot was lip smacking delicious! Such a sweet and simple dining experience, heart and belly full!

I have always and still do love this place so much, always excellent food! Reminds me of home in Singapore with super home-cooked warmth! Today, there was a miscommunication about rice for an order and I called them and the owner actually hand-delivered me the rice and gave me a free drink while the weather is terrible! Really didn’t have to do that and was just so kind! Really good people, and amazing food (as always) and good people make the food even more yummy. Thank you so much, I appreciate it a lot!

Highly recommend Kori. First time trying Korean food and wasn't disappointed. Tried a number of dishes and we loved all of them. Was made to feel very welcome from start to finish. The owners are extremely friendly and I would definitely return to try more dishes on the menu. Can't wait!

Delicious Korean food. The fried chicken in sweet and spicy sauce is highly recommended. Seafood pancakes and shrimp dumplings also tasty. No complaints.

the best Korean we had outside of Asia. Spot on authentic! Teokbokki is excellent, real taste you would find in Korean street stall. Kimchi hot pot is a hit too, and seafood pancake was flawless. the children voted for fried chicken with Soya.

Lovely authentic Korean food. Tried the Bulgogi and the tteokboki and both were delicious! My girlfriend is Korean and she also gave it her seal of approval so I can confidently vouch for the place.

A great experience from the moment I went in to collect my take away, the staff were friendly and even asked if I wanted a glass of water while I waited. The food was absolutely delicious. My son and myself were extremely impressed, the dishes were so flavourful and truly exceptional. We've tried several different Korean restaurants in the area and this truly trumps them all. We'll definitely be back and can highly recommend this restaurant.

I wish I'd taken some pictures ..but the food smelt so good I forgot. Why have I not eaten here before. We had Spicy Pork Dolsot and a number other dishes and they were amazing. Everything tastes so fresh. Best meal I've eaten in a long time. I would highly recommend.

Love this place. Great authentic food. Right by the station so I always get a later train when visiting Bournemouth just so I can enjoy the Dak-gang-jeog. Very friendly.

We chanced upon this place by mistake, but was left pleasantly surprised. A lovely relaxing experience, with the owner being very polite, helpful and accommodating. The starters were very tasty, and the main dish was good too. Definitely coming back.

Insanely good food. With no exaggeration, this place deserves a Michelin Star. Me and my brother had the Tteokbokki to share for starters, with a gorgeously spicy sweet sauce - for main, we had the classic-style Korean fried chicken - deliciously sweet & savoury with an ultimate-level crunchy coating. The gentleman serving us was hugely helpful and helped us pick the best order for our tastes. Equally great for families or for a mates’ night out.

Food here was amazing! We ordered Japchae, and its flavors were well balanced and tasted good. The Soy Garlic Fried Chicken was so crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned!!! And the iced yuzu tea was so good for the hot weather, the other Korean restaurants made the tasteless yuzu tea, but definitely not KORI. The food here is authentically Korean, 100% recommend!!!

Had a surprise birthday party meal thrown for myself and 8 friends here last night! The staff were very accommodating and agreed to stay open later for us as not everyone could make it before they closed. I believe there was a lot of helpful back and forth from the owners and all my friends in advance to get menus sent over and dishes prepared. The food was amazing! I had the Dakgangjeong chicken as a starter which was delicious and then shared a Beef Bulgogi Jeon Gol with Beef Fried Rice and it was probably enough food to feed 4 people. Definitely a hidden gem in Bournemouth and will definitely be going back again! Can't recommend highly enough. Thanks for hosting us and for great food!

Had a wonderful evening indulging in some insanely delicious food. Extremely pleasant staff; friendly and nothing was a bother, very accommodating. Left very full but couldn't stop eating! The fried chicken is a must, gorgeously soft squid rings and the katsu chicken was eaten too quickly to be photographed!

Best, best, best korean dishes in town or in the UK. Highly recommend the mixed chicken dish and beef rice bulgogi. Bulgogi was the best flavour I’ve had in my life, tasted so juicy and freshest fresh omg. Service guy was so friendly. Definitely go and try it.

This is a great korean restaurant, with authentic cuisine and amazing flavour, the service is 10/10. We had a hot pot and the flavour was sooo good, the korean fried chicken was super crispy and well seasoned. We were able to bring our chihuahua with us and they were very nice and attentive with us and the dog. Thank you! Will be coming back in my next holidays!

We’ve officially decided… if we ever end up on death row and have to pick our last meal we will definitely pick number 13 from the menu!!! We’ve been here about 5 times, tried various things, and it’s all been delicious! Staff friendly and humble. Can’t wait until we go again.

Very friendly experience, the food is freshly cooked to order, our dumplings were amazing, and the main korean bbq dishes are very good. Fantastic selection of korean drinks too. Would recommend highly recommend this place.

Our visit to Kori was not planned and we found it randomly. It is a great place for authentic Korean food. I really enjoyed both dishes - rich flavours, no unecessary bling bling with the way it was presented. It felt like eating at your good friends home. The friend who cooks well! The interior is cosy and not overloaded. The team was friendly and created a pleasant environment where you have some privacy but there is always someone nearby in case you need some help. Very happy overall - can recommend to you with full confidence.

AVOID!!! Myself and my family decided to come and eat at KORI Bournemouth as it’s a fairly new restaurant. Also we are trying to support new and small businesses. HOWEVER we had an awful experience. I was with my husband and my 5 year old non - verbal autistic son, my little boy was a little unsettled and upset. I tried to calm him down. We placed a large order of food and drinks, ranging from starters and mains. Once all our food arrived we were asked to leave the restaurant. The owner said my sons behaviour was stopping new customers from coming in as well as disturbing customers in his restaurant. HOWEVER it was on my family plus 1 single guy in the whole restaurant. The whole time we were there no one came to the restaurant. I agreed to leave and asked for the bill. I also explained my son is autistic and the restaurant was empty which was a reflection on his business not my sons behaviour. Also to add I found hair in my rice, I politely moved it to one side and did not say anything as I’m not the type to make big things out of something small or upset people, now thinking about it maybe I should of questioned the hygiene part of his restaurant. I hardly touched my food as we were asked to leave and it completely affected my appetite. I completely understand that sometimes kids crying can be a little distracting or annoying HOWEVER at the time we were at the restaurant it was only my family and 1 other person. It’s hard enough being a parent to an autistic child, I was really upset and we felt discriminated. This place is unhygienic and has awful customer service . For these reasons being and my overall experience, I now understand why the restaurant was empty.

Very tasty and delicious Korean food

Excellent and authentic Korean food. The bibimbap is served perfectly, and all the dishes we had were very tasty. I can recommend the kimchi jeon, fried chicken, beef bibimbap, osam bulgogi, and bulgogi.

We was a large group of 10 who came here on our last night and so glad we did. the food was just fantastic! I’m Asian and love to travel for good food. This was well worth coming to. The Korean chicken was especially spectacular! Don’t miss this place when you’re In Bournemouth! Lovely casual place with super staff & owners.

Popped in for a quick lunch yesterday, the place was quiet but very charming. The guy who served us was super friendly and the food was really delicious, and at a good price. The kimchi was some of the best I've ever had. If I'm in the area again I'll go back for sure!

Been to Kori after a long time and this time the restaurant was FANTASTIC! The new management is super nice, they upgraded the menu to include a larger variety of foods and everything was cooked Perfectly! I will say without exageration that this is now mine and my misus's Number 1 Korean Restaurant! Definitely worth every pence! 😁😁😁

The first time I visited KORI was 2019, since then I always missed and craved the food. I went back again tonight after quite some time and was not dissapointed, every dish was full of flavour. The banchan, boricha, my favourite dishes and a cozy welcoming environment. if you have never tried korean food, KORI is the perfect beginning...

First visit and we love the food very much! Very authentic Korean food and the Sizzling Prime Ribs is really good! Owner is very friendly and kind. Will definitely come again.

We have ordered a deep fried chicken appetizers that was really dry and that could be done in any fast food elsewhere. So we didn’t even eat it (only one piece) and asked the server to return it but he insisted to re-do another one. (We have waited 30 min for this) And he gave us an excuse that the restaurant just opened 2 month ago and that they are going to change the menu. So why did he make us pay for it ? If they wanted to build customer loyalty this is not what they should do. They should know that we would write a bad review after this. And the rest of the food was really average, not bad, but it is not worth returning. It is really shameful because back in October the experience was much better.

I loved the food few month ago and I wanted to go back to eat in the restaurant, but everything has changed, not in the good way, at all. First we ordered Korean fried chicken: the chicken was really dry, definitely not fresh. We ate only one piece and kindly asked to take it back. Because we still order it, the boss asked us to pay for it, which I understand, but when you want to keep your customers, you have to make them feel satisfied. Just by this experience, we can easily tell that the restaurant is not willing to create a long term great customers relationship. Than the Bimbimbap (it was my favourite dish of the restaurant) presentation downgraded a lot, no more egg, no more side vegetables. I have one Korean restaurant next to my apartment and I still made the effort to go to that restaurant, no more.

It was a bad experience, the owner and chef treated customers with arrogance. The fried chicken quality was poor (without any of the characteristics of Korean fried chicken), the zucchini and vegetables in the soup were bitter, and the bimbimbap lacked egg. I don't think the chef is competent, it's more of an exercise. We often go to Korea and love Korean food very much. So please don't be conceited that customers are dissatisfied for no reason.
