Great English breakfast 🍳 a true hidden gem. Must try if you are in the area.

I used to visit nearly every weekend when I studied in Bournemouth. Used to struggle getting a seat at times. Feel like it's kinda lost it's mojo after visiting recently. The quality of the food needs to improve *(IT HAS) and please go back to proper HP Sauce and Heinz Ketchup. The cheap versions really are awful. *( SADLY STILL SERVING AWFUL KETCHUP AND BROWN SAUCE).

Norwegian Wood has simple, lovely food and is not over priced. The staff are hardworking, friendly and courteous and the atmosphere is agreeably retro. In a world of fast food and impersonal service this experience is more personal and refreshing.

This is such a lovely little cafe. It’s a real throw back to the sixties/seventies. Good cafe food, great value and the owners/staff very friendly and efficient.

If you're a Beatles fan this is the place. Plenty of choice for breakfast/brunch. Staff kind and attentive

I paid no more than £8 for veggie breakfast with coffee and it was the biggest breakfast I've had eating out ☺️ so yummy! if you're in Bournemouth you need to go there and say thank u to ladies who are running this for a beautiful job 🥰

Original café style with great value for money.

Great little cafe tucked away off a side street. Veggie cooked breakfast is ridiculous good value at around £6-7 including a pot of tea! Piping hot and cooked fresh to order. Good menu choice and great Beatles memorabilia around the cafe. Service is attentive, kind and friendly. Definitely recommended.

It was great value for money. The place has not changed much in the last 10 years. Wooden tables and chairs. Very good size portions at a low price. The menu has not changed much and it's packed with comfort food and traditional dishes. I would recommend the English breakfast options. They are not fancy but they are well cooked and filling. Coffee was not too bad either.

Love this place. Just hidden around back of the high street , this cafe certainly offers the best fresh cooked food . Great feel to it with the history and staff are so polite and friendly I can't fault anything it's what most town's should have , no franchise chain . Prices are really worth what you get. Thanks guys always great to see you .

The staff were super nice and friendly. This place could be exceptional with a few tweaks: 1. Cook the breakfast to order. To charge almost £13 for a breakfast, I would expect it to be cooked fresh. Everything on the plate was precooked and reheated, which is weird as it wasn't busy at all. It also arrived covered in oil, similar to a typical buffet breakfast. It was unpleasant. I'd prefer to wait for a freshly cooked breakfast, than 5 mins for reheated, precooked, borderline inedible food. 2. Source local produce. At the very least the bacon, eggs and sausage should be good quality, locally sourced produce when charging London prices. The eggs were cheap (a light yellow colour), the sausages were the cheap, chippy type sausages and the bacon was so overly done it was tasteless and beyond dry, it was splintered. 3. Clean restaurant. This place was quite dirty and could do with a deep clean. There was inches of dust hanging from these very strange ceiling beams (left over floor boards randomly hanging). The toilet area was awful, having to squeeze past an open window covered in dust and a very untidy cleaning area. This place was such a disappointment. We were so looking forward to an epic breakfast but instead left feeling rather ill. The one good part was the two female staff who were friendly and welcoming. This place could be exceptional but failed miserably to hit the mark.

Such a lovely cafe with the most wonderful friendly staff, we order the vegetarian breakfasts each time we visit which include a pot of tea and everything is always cooked perfectly. Can’t recommend enough and always look forward to our next visit.

easily one of the best fry up's I've ever had in a cafe. discovered by accident. a true greasy spoon without the pretentiousness of most 'gourmet' or 'bistro' style cafes you get these days.

This is a place you shouldn't miss when in Bournemouth, the best breakfast in town that never disappoints along with the most excellent services. We keep coming here over and over, love the atmosphere, great coffee and delicious food for all tastes.

Me and my boyfriend visit here most weekends not just for the food, but for the incredible, friendly service you receive here. Food is always on point, fast, hot and delicious - great value for money. Staff are so lovely and friendly, always happy and smiling. They are always accommodating and get you served quickly no matter how busy and swept of their feet they are. Very hard workers.

Nice quiet Cafe with some Beatles memorabilia but the Breakfast itself was a let down.

After reading some positive reviews I thought I'd try this place for Breakfast. For some unknown reason it was shut on the Wednesday so I popped back on the Thursday first thing. Decor of Beatles memorabilia was good but only local radio being played, would have been nice for a Beatles playlist on the go. When ordering I stated I didn't drink hot drinks and asked for a cup of juice instead. But when I got the bill I was charged for it anyway. The breakfast itself was the most disappointing one I've had in ages. The baked beans were awful, the bacon just about cooked and the sausage must have been cooked form frozen as it was pretty hard. Bread & butter came with it but toast would have been much better. A tiny part of the egg yolk was ok for dipping the bread. At least the tomato was ok. All in all I wont be returning here, don't believe those hyped up reviews.

After 20 years of not being in the town, this was our student go to breakfast spot. Was wonderful to still see it operational and still the same great standard as we remember. Simple food, freshly cooked at a great price. If you are visiting for the weekend and want either a breakfast, omelette or panini, this is the place to go! You won't be disappointed.

I found this coffee shop on my way to the centre. As a fan of the Beatles, I recognized the title of the song "Norwegian wood", and I was curious to see whether this place had this name by chance. I absolutely loved the decoration, full of Beatles paintings and the music was great. The food and coffee were delicious, and the prices very reasonable. Favourite place in Bournemouth 🙂

Delicious toasties! We also had the homemade tomato, basil and lentil soup and it was incredible!

Had been meaning to try this place, for a long time. We were not disappointed. I use a mobility aid and always struggle getting into smaller places. I managed to get into the cafe (there is a small step) and was made to feel very welcome. There was room for me to fold my equipment. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the Beatles memorabilia is brilliant to see. The deluxe breakfast was delicious and great value for money. We will be recommending this place to friends and family. Loved it!

Chilli bowl topped with cheese was superb, and it washed down well with a nice cappuccino. Lovely ambience too.

One of Bournemouth's hidden gems! Won the best breakfast in Bournemouth for several years in a row and lives up to expectations. Cheap, well cooked food and friendly staff. It's rarely busy and a nice way to escape the centre of town. Vegetarian and vegan options too. We love coming here!

Fantastic place with delicious food and heavily Beatles themed. This was my first experience going and upon walking in I heard the Beatles playing but was slightly disappointed that was just a coincidence and the Beatles albums are not playing back to back, regardless, staff were very friendly and it was a pleasure to be served. As a huge Beatles fan this was all very surreal to see so much Beatles in one place. Always wanted to pop in here and now I am so glad I got the opportunity too. Absolutely will come here again. very chill vibe and felt very welcomed.

Best value breakfast and great coffee ☕!

I went to the Norwegian Wood after a heavy night out in Bournemouth, the Deluxe, a coffee and a strawberry milkshake were just what i needed to recover! Absolutely brilliant customer service in terms of friendliness and speed of food. The quality of the food was excellent and they even let me swap mushrooms (which i dislike) for something else which not many places do and that was a pleasant surprise. Good and affordable prices, very unique place. If you live in bournemouth and haven't been there I do not know what you are doing with your time! Very convenient location situated next to a car park, I don't write many reviews but this place most definitely deserves one.

If you are near here, pop in and have an all day breakfast, great lunch good, very spicy chilli con carne, I had it with chips, great place for a friendly lunch, highly recommend, thanks

Great place to have a good lunch, nice friendly service, staff very helpful and a pleasure to eat there, food was great I had chilli n chips, it was spicy but really nice topped with cheese and I asked for chips, made the meal, all home made, then apple pie with squirty cream, the ambience was great and the Beatles images made it, I'd highly recommend if you are in Bournemouth, off the beaten track but opposite Ferndale car park.
