I came here with three friends on bikes, a little bedraggled after riding from Bristol. Once we’d worked out what to do with our bikes (thanks to a friendly local) we were treated to a lovely meal and a delicious selection of ales. Everyone seemed happy, families, staff, us, darts players, locals propping up the bar. Long live proper pubs like this one!
This is such a sweet little cafe in the middle of Yeovil, situated within a sweet little shop. There is plenty of seating available inside. We had the breakfast which was delicious and drinks arrived quickly and were very hot. Such a lovely place to visit if you’re in the area!

Great night, entertainment and bar staff. Who's idea was the dj who insisted on playing boom boom monotomous music all night. Lord above, why ruin a good thing?
We were on holiday so went for the first time. We both had pasta for the main course. I had the spinach and ricotta cannelloni which was particularly nice. Service was very good.
We booked a table for early evening and explained we had a child in our party. They were fantastic and put our minds at rest. The lobster lounge is a cosy, calm lounge, lit by warm yellow fairy lights.
The lady who served us was efficient and explained the menu fantastically. She was incredibly knowledgeable about both wine and food.
Our food was delicious. We chose two of the meat dishes with several plates of tapas. Both the lamb and pork were delicious. We enjoyed lobster arancini and a mushroom tapas. Our daughter loved the prawn pil pil. We had a very enjoyable evening and can't wait to go back !
Thank you.
We had a lovely lunch at the Commodore. The service was just the right mix of professional but friendly, not too pushy but not ignored either. We had a table with a lovely view which was helped by the day being sunny and warm. Our lunch was nicely presented and tasted great, I think it wasn't over priced compared to other pubs and restaurants in Instow but I think the Commodore has a nicer ambience. Definitely come back again, the only caveat is that the bar prices are maybe a bit higher than in the pub.
Visited with family recently for an evening meal very unprofessional and rude behavior from staff some of the young girls serving us looked as if they were on drugs the owner also looked drunk early in the evening. Food was ok but could have been better if all staff pulled there weight instead of standing around on there phones. Ideally not the best way to go if you want your business to succeed.
Best Cornish pasty I've had in a while.
We went here specifically because they offer a gluten free option and they did not disappoint! You do have to order the gluten free pasty's and they take around half an hour but well worth it.
We brought extra to bring home
