The best restaurants in South West

We went to Pop on a Saturday early evening. Not from the area, we were struggling for a place to eat with 2 hungry small children. The guys at Pop welcomed us despite no reservation. The food and drink was out of site (the ribs and wings!!!!!!) and the kids were treated to an on the spot made dessert while they watched! We felt so welcome! Can't recommend highly enough. If ever in Exeter again we will be back!

Afternoon tea with my wife for her 70th birthday. Prebooked with Jan. Food was absolutely first class (epic scones Dave) and plentiful. Came away with a box full of cakes. Nothing was too much trouble for Jan with decorations to match the occasion. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We would TOTALLY agree with the One review. A gem of a find. It has been a very long time since we have enjoyed such finger-licking (yes, we had the tiger prawns; exceptional, as were the samosas!) unpretentious, tasty, expertly prepared, top quality food, for a very reasonable price. All freshly prepared, as we waited. Met with a warm welcome, with an abundance of enthusiasm to check we were enjoying our flavoursome Portuguese fayre. Our taste buds had a full workout! Our hosts are rightfully proud of their mama’s culinary skills and the evident love and care she lavishes on her creations. The menu is simple, but powerful. We will definitely be back for more. The best burger I have eaten, all the smash burgers and chicken burger were delicious, seasoned and served with a smile. What a view as well, a visit here can’t be missed!

Although it was empty for a Saturday night (strange) the decor was very youthful with a very fresh vibe. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough. They had a large range of sharing plates, pizzas and drinks! Having ordered the pizzas they arrived so quickly and oh my word they were to die for!! The other half said it was the best pizza he’s ever had! (Hot and spicy) - he’s not easy to please! If we’re ever visiting Bodmin again we will be back!

We had an incredible incredible experience at Rubicon Kitchen! The "tide to table" concept really emphasizes the quality and freshness of the seafood, which is nothing short of incredible. The chef owner Olly and hes staff are very friendly and attentive and we cannot wait to go back very soon.

This little restaurant is an absolute gem. The food is delicious and the French ambiance is wonderful. Ilona is so welcoming and attentive to her guests.

Pleased to find three Vegetarian options on the menu. Ellie went the extra mile to adapt the menu to cater to the likes of our American friends. We all had Falafel Salads and they were absolutely delicious. We only lacked the weather to sit outside with a wonderful view, but that was beyond everyone’s control. Been going to Cornwall for 6 years. Found this place after been recommended by someone on holiday. Back to see all staff again from 7th September. Best pasties ever.

I've been to several award- winning fish and chip shops and this is better than any of them.... The cod and chips was perfectly cooked, service was friendly and efficient and prices are excellent value. Strongly recommended. Thank you both.

Taco Taco is amazing and i recomend for everyone to try it, the resturant is very small and cosy so probably best to book just in case! We have been sereral times now and i am always craving the mexican corn and the tres leches cake. Service is always wonderfull and the food is best i've had from a resturant in bournemouth. They clearly put a lot of care and attention into creating their menu and every dish that leaves the kitchen!

Wild bake wood fire pizzas are delicious this s the 2nd year we have tried them they are just as good each time we all try there specials which are very exciting service is really good place your order and you get a time slot and then just pick up perfect 😀👍
