XL Haddock was massive. Chips were the best I’ve had anywhere, ever. Portions were massive. Service was great. Honestly couldn’t fault a thing. Only issue is, I’m so full, I don’t think I could look at another bit of fish in batter for a few months!

Sadly I was only visiting the area so cannot add this to my list of ‘locals to return to’ I opted for the Tides breakfast and every element was fantastic! Served on a hot plate ensuring that even as I was finishing, the food was still hot and enjoyable. Those I was dining with had the pancakes and enjoyed these too. This is clearly a popular local haunt and I can see why.

Overall is good, the quality it's top as the price and service. Lovely place with good atmosphere. If you're on rush, don't go, take your time and enjoy the food.

A lovely venue in central Axminster for a catch up with friends. Our young children could play in the dedicated area, the food tasted & looked great and was reasonably priced. Will definitely return.
