Rolys Fudge in Torbay

We were in Offshore next door having a lovely lunch and then the kids noticed the smell of freshly made fudge! Wow. We had ice creams most days from here, and then bought a few bags of fudge to take home.

Excellent fudge, best I have ever had, and a decent coffee. Also try the Dartmouth branch for their sauces

This was the only place we could find that offered vegan ice cream and gluten free cones due to me being lactose and wheat intolerant! Absolutely unbelievable really that in the whole of Torquay this was the only place we could find! Only had 3 ice cream choices though and a very small amount but it was nice tasting.

We ordered fudge and ice creams while crabbing on the harbour in torquay. It smells amazing as well as they make the fudge in the store!

Lovely ice cream and simply gorgeous fudge. Loved the Sea salt although son in law said the rum and raisin was good too. There were loads of flavours to choose from including lemon meringue that I’d never seen before

I absolutely loved the fudge here!! I kept telling myself, just one more bag but then I ended up buying more, its addictive.

You know when you chose 1 scoop of icecream and you literally get a small scoop not even a tiny bit more it’s disappointing.....well that’s what we got here. Sorry but it’s a bit stingy won’t bother going again!

Brilliant place, lots of fudge options. The one we purchased was lovely and creamy. We also bought some equally yummy and brilliant value (they were huge for standard) Strawberry Split Whippy ice-creams which were just the thing on a hot day!

I was passing by in hope of an Ice Cream and my Dad spotted Roly's After entering we were kindly greeted and ordered. (Their milkshakes are great by the way!) After finishing in the outdoor seating by the sea we ordered a fudge and began to leave...

Amazing ice cream for a great price. Staff very friendly & helpful. Was fab to see the fudge being Made. My only criticism is o tried the cherry bakewell fudge...& there was hardly any bakewell flavour was more like vanilla with the occasional cherry thrown in.

I bought some fudge from Roly's for my work colleagues. It lasted about 10 minutes. Everyone loved it.

We have literally just bought fudge from here and ate it on our way back to our hotel. There are samples on the counter top to try I tried the hot cross bun fudge and decided it was too nice to not have so had a bag of that! My daughter had a mix of honeycomb and sea salt pieces and my son had butterscotch flavour. Very reasonable priced too I thought and the lady serving was so lovely! Would definitely recommend to any one in the area !

Where to start, the shop is situated looking over the harbour and is really inviting. Once inside you are overwhelmed with the enormous variety of different flavour fudge. My husband and I couldn’t decide and the lady serving was so helpful and extremely patient! We chose the chocolate orange fudge and the honeycomb and they were both delicious. They do vegan fudge and vegan ice cream. The ice creams looked lovely and there was a great deal of choice, but unfortunately the weather wasn’t conducive to having any. Just means we have to go back again. Lucky us!! It’s really great to see a shop that obviously takes such pride in its goods and service. I would highly recommend a visit.

It is exactly what it is. Lovely local ice creams in a spot that looks over the harbour with seating. A nice spot to relax with an ice cream. They also sell fudge too.

We have been every night for 4 nights now to get the most delicious ice cream we have ever had. The chocolate is the most chocolate tasting chocolate we have ever tasted, we go out for tea then to Roly’s for our ice cream dessert. You must go there no I wasn’t paid to say that.

Great selection of ice cream flavours for everyone including the elderly and our four legged pals. Lovely, friendly service.

Although, I'm not the biggest fudge fan!(I'm a very fussy eater) My boyfriend and his family are and they have been coming to Roly's for a very long time! Every time we come to Torquay we spend a lot of money on their fudge and it makes everyone happy!! The staff are all very friendly and helpful! It's amazing watching the fudge be made and it smells delicious! Their icecream is also so amazing!!!

Uninviting shop overlooking the inner harbour, far too sweet and certain death to ones waistline, sandwiched between other cafes and looking as if it needs redecorating, could be so much better

We only briefly popped in to grab some fudge and ice-cream to walk around the harbour. Convenient location, decent price and delicious sweet treats. Good thing we didn't have the children with us, as we'd have never prised them away!

Called in whilst in Torquay to buy some more fudge. My wife now has it delivered as she likes it so much.

Lovely fudge that is handmade on the premises - what more can I say! It's great to be able to buy proper fudge rather than the mass produced rubbery stuff that you get in boxes practically everywhere

If you like Devonshire fudge you will not be disappointed here - there are dozens of different flavours and every one I have ever tried has been delicious. (My particular favourite is chocolate fudge &coffee and cream) I've visited Salcome a number of times, it's a beautiful little town. Every time we do go I insist on stopping at Rolys Fudge.

Lovely quality products. Great selection of ice cream flavours (marsh field) and they make their own fudge onsite and you can watch them doing this in the shop. Prices fairly reasonable

Popped in here as I like a little bit of Fudge so why not pop in here .. The Lady who had just made a fresh batch of the lovely stuff asked if we needed any help . we said just looking but asked for recommendations . Sea salt is nice . A little taster later and a box of the lovely stuff in hand , Oh but wait I would also like the original one for myself so another Box ... but they also do a mixed box so 3 boxes will do nice . not cheap but get what you pay for . That is Yummy stuff and very Addictive . Clean place friendly staff..

We visited on our last evening of our holiday .Purchased fudge for the family which has gone down well at home .We loved the ice cream especially the ginger one such a shame it was our last night as would have gone back again for ice cream

We only wanted an ice cream but were treated like royalty. Staff funny and the ice cream was delicious. The added extras and you are in heaven! :)

I had the lemon ice cream and my husband the rum and raisin. Both were totally delicious, will be going back for more on Wednesday.

You've got to try the freshly made fudge made inside tge shop. It's so lush i regret finding this shop on our last day there. You can actually watch them making the fudge. Its the only place in Torquay that does this. My daughter & i loved the vanilla, salted caramel & honeycomb fudge.

Popped in here today after seeing online that you can get vegan options and wasn't disappointed. The smell of their confectionery hits you as soon as you walk in and what a gorgeous smell it is. Great variety in flavours of fudge and ice cream. We brought two vegan scoops, (Raspberry and Chocolate) and two that weren't vegan (Salted Caramel and White Chocolate with Honeycomb pieces) which were delicious! Definitely recommend if you're nearby on a hot day that you pop in and grab some ice cream.

this was the best tasting ice cream i have had in a long time, the staff were very nice and helpfull , the fudge looked exceptional. only after eating the raspberry ice cream and the wife had the lemon we noticed that they did a diabetic ice cream which i could have had but it was worth noticing after LOL.

I blame Rolys Fudge and Ice cream shop for me putting on so much weight since I moved here! Love living in Torquay, I feel blessed, and this is one of the reasons I love it. Delicious fudge and ice cream made on the premises and wafting its lovely smells out on the street luring me in. If you haven't tried it yet you must - don't miss out! Although if you have no self-control like me, your waistline probably won't thank you. Oh well, there's always elasticated waistbands.

Bought bags of fudge for my son, didn't realise that for just over £4 you only had about 5 chunks of fudge, still lovely fudge though.

Fantastic customer service, great with my two girls, friendly and happy to answer questions. great ice cream, but best fudge ever, made in the shop in the open where you can see. Went on our third night and then every night until we left!

We always come here for our ice creams when we come to Torquay. Plenty of flavours to chose from & they are reasonable priced. The whippy ice creams don't melt as soon as you get outside, like other ones do. You can sit outside & eat your ice cream too.

Great location by the harbourside, seems it is only open "occassionally" outside peak summer season!... But great selection of fudge, plenty of flavours - all of em seem to be a real treat. Ice creams and coffes too ?Not cheap and thus no change for the car parking!...

My friends son has coeliac disease and she was 'over the moon' to be able to get him various flavours of fudge which was gluten free

Gorgeous homemade fudge in so many flavours! Absolutely delicious. Gorgeous ice creams, and even a 'diabetic' variety, which is great for my mum's friend. I highly recommend.

We visited here on 7th of July and there was 4 of us! we have come here before many times, however the fudge is very expensive! The ice cream was very nice though, £3.40 for 2 scoops

I bought my children two ice creams from here and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, there were lots of flavours to choose from, can't ask for anymore from an ice-cream parlour.

I defy anyone to find better fudge. The taste and texture are perfect. Wonderful variety of flavours. Fantastic online service. An expensive treat but worth every penny.

I always frequent Rolys to purchase fudge to give as presents as it is the best fudge ever. Not only is it sold loosely in the quantities you may require but they also do pre-wrapped presentation boxes in a lovely choice of wrapping paper. I also love their ice-cream in the summer.

The Christmas pudding fudge is amazing, as is the ginger one and the soft ice cream was lush, I can't wait to get back for some more next year.

Popped in for some clotted cream ice cream. Paid just over £4 for two single-scoop ice creams with fancy sugar comes. Wanted something lighter than the awesome looking fudge being hand-made for everyone to see. Really loved the selection of different types of ice cream cones. Location of the tables overlooked part of the harbour, and was watching families catching crabs from the sea. Would recommend for a quick timeout at the harbour.

Wonderful! Range of different fudge. All tasted amazing. Not like any fudge i had ever tasted before, nice and crumbly. Recommend: Baileys cream, butterscotch and vanilla. Good prices. Definately visiting again.

The smell when entering this shop is divine you can smell the sweetness and the butter - there is no way you are leaving without buying some fudge. They prepare it on site and it really is crumbly and just melts in the mouth - the staff are very friendly, it is a bit on the expensive side. I recommend you buy the loose fudge rather than the package as you get more for your money. The only fault here is that the shop is too small - I was there when a lady visited with a mobility scooter and there was me and 2 other adults and the shop was full. But well worth a visit.

I have broght fudge all over the country and this is by far the best. The smell is amazing when you get into the shop and there are alot of flavours to choose from. Although the fudge is fabulous it has to be eaten with in a few days so it doesn't dry out.It is expensive but you get what you pay for.I will be a returning customer next tine I come down to Devon.

Fudge was nice but no better than the stuff you can buy from a supermarket and the different flavours weren't all that different, in that there wasn't a particularly strong flavour to them.

The best fudge ever. Lovely shop with very friendly staff. The problem with this shop is you can't resist temptation. Always have to buy loads because everyone at home loves it.

Having frequented Rolys fudge shop over many years it is a small highlight of our annual holiday. They have many different varieties ranging from good old clotted cream vanilla to more interesting ones like lemon meringue or strawberries and cream. Priced at £1.90 a quarter I find it excellent value. All fudge is hand made on site with the option to try some before purchasing. You can have as much (or Little) as you like and can also mix different flavours together, i.e. one piece of this another piece of that. Staff always friendly and helpful.

Only had one fudge available at the time of our visit . This was supposed to be be their flagship fudge . Very dissapointed very crumbly and very sugary did not resemble fudge @ £2.00 per qtr.

Visited 3 times during our recent holiday and had great ice cream each time and service to match. We would highly recommend a visit to Rolys .

Best fudge. Handmade on site. Highly recommend and have done for the past 11 years since I first went. Ice cream is lovely too and all good value and with lovely friendly staff.

Very clean shop and outside seating area and staff are very polite ice cream by Jennifer was a delightful tub full of whipped chocolate and vanilla which we enjoyed outside in the lovely sunshine but even on a rainy day if your passing dont miss it! worth a visit!

Not a restaurant but an ice cream shop, this place should not be missed by bucket and spade lovers. Down towards the town end of the harbour, this is an impeccably clean place, serving locally made set ice cream and fantastic whipped cones. So perfectly twirled are these that the chocolate whirl comes with each pleat perfectly tipped with chocolate until you finally make your way to a delicious chocolate core. The strawberry whirl, strawberry, and strawberry and vanilla are equally satisfying. Take one out to a table in front and watch the seaside world go by!
