The best restaurants in South West

Dull offering with staff who had little idea and no care for what they are selling.

We love staying here fab bistro and fab suites Always attention to detail is provided from the service chrystal cutlery and lace tablecloths . We had scallops and prawns to start with garlic bread followed by lamb cutlets and chateubriand. Followed by coffee and liqueurs. The owners and their family make it extra special. We have stayed in four of the themed rooms and will come back thanks to this unique location and service.

Good beer/cyder, service and ambiance. Does not serve food. Bring your own allowed, Pips pastys adjacent.

Genuinely one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Great service too.

The Victoria Sponge slices were incredibly dry and tasteless. Maybe they were left in the fridge and then resold the next day. Not too impressed!

Sat outside this Mokoko in Dorchester Street. Tables were dirty, cigarette ends all over the floor, tables not cleared - horrible - coffee on the other hand - lovely

Lovely Brunch, well presented and very tasty, always consistent, our favourite place in Sidmouth, looking forward to our next visit.

No longer my favourite hotel in the islands. Refused to refund my deposit for a cancellation due to the sudden death of my wife. Sure have a policy but sometimes good service means suspending that in difficult circumstances.

First time we have visited, and we will be back. The free salad, bread and dips were delicious, as was our main course choices. Very good quality and large portions. Great service. 5 stars.

Hands down the best burgers I've ever eaten. I've had burgers in BBQ joints in the US and in Hamburg and nothing comes close to these monsters. 500/10. Staff amazing too. Can get the best burger of your life, banging fries and a pint for under £20 - can't beat that value

We turned up without a booking on a Sunday lunchtime but they quickly found a table for us despite being very busy, had the roast beef dinner which was delicious. Staff were super friendly & efficient, I highly recommend this place.

This place is a hidden gem! Excellent food, friendly service

The choices to paint are good and the staff were friendly but I won't be going back as they have a charge for a parent staying with their kids of nearly as much as taking part. It wasn't even really about the money but more the principle of it. It seems totally unjustified. I don't want to leave my 9 year old and her sister alone to paint, but this charge encourages it. There's plenty of other places that don't charge me for being there and these will be the ones I go to in the future.
