Milsons Point Café in East Devon

Called in because our intended café was closed. We were the only ones in and promptly shown to our table. Our order was taken and my wife had avocado and eggs and i had the full English with coffees. The coffees were excellent and we both enjoyed our breakfast, much better then the hotel. By the time we left the place was extremely busy so don't be put off if is quite.

Really disappointed. Salad was inedible because of the dressing. Cheese scone ( savoury cream tea ) was very small for the price. Service was slow.

A great place, been before but just been busy lately. This time was as good as any before, the cafe/restaurant was immaculate and the staff were all super friendly and efficient. We both had the breakfast plate (full english basically), it was cooked perfectly and a nice generous portion, YUM. Good coffee as well. Look forward to returning soon.

Came for breakfast. Hyped so expecting some disappointment. But was great I had the steak and eggs - large meal (if you don’t eat potatoes you need to tell them as there were loads) - well cooked steak, decent eggs. 5/5 Partner had the French toast with bacon 5/5 Only down mark was we were left waiting at the front whilst waitresses chatted to each other and friends.

We had two excellent lunches here whilst staying in Sidmouth. Lovely food and excellent service. We can highly recommend the more interesting menu.

Expensive for what you get! Salmon Fishcakes had just a few tiny flakes of Salmon so were more like potato cakes. No menu in the window, we made the mistake of being attracted by the decor. We should have checked out the menu before sitting down. Waitress said she would tell the chef about the lack of fish. Polite staff but wouldn't recommend. We saw more reasonable menus nearby afterwards.

After a walk around Sidmouth, lunch was taken at the this café. What a find. Shown to our table after a warm welcome. The wild mushroom bruchetta went down a "wow". Absolutely superb. Never had the like before. Clean café throughout.

Just a quick review of one of our regular family spots in Sidmouth. Had a working lunch here Friday, with laptop in hand, and the club sandwich was perfect value. Then Saturday morning we had a sunny breakfast out in the garden which was perfect as always.

We had lunch here. We ordered soup with a warm cheese scone and avocado on sourdough with a poached egg. Both meals were delicious and thoroughly enjoyed! A nice atmosphere and friendly staff made this a nice place to eat.

Just had the most amazing lunch here today. The food here is always fantastic but today the kitchen staff excelled themselves. The salmon from the Christmas menu was simply brilliant. So so well presented and very tasty. Table service was up to the usual high standard, staff cheerful, friendly & professional. Thanks for a great lunch.

A light lunch is exactly what it means. Tiny portion and mushrooms not cooked properly. Friendly efficient staff and swift service.

We entertained so business associates and were very pleased with the excellent service and the quality of the food. We only had a light brunch but everything really was very good and if I wasn't watching my weight I'd be there a lot more often!

A lovely, friendly waitress but unfortunately the meal was poor. Large, wedges of bread made soggy by too much mayonnaise and filled with tasteless fried fish goujons just didn't work for us. Neither did the weak coffees. Sorry but £33.00 far too expensive for a poor meal.

We were walking past and fancied breakfast/brunch, really attractive looking and welcoming restaurant from outside and had a nice clear menu, greeted by really friendly staff, warm and welcoming, breakfast was fantastic, we had French toast with bacon and a poached eggs on toast with bacon must say the French toast was on another level taste wise. We then visited twice more for lunch. Totally five star all the way for both food and for the staff, the seating area out the back door is a nice addition for a nice day, we felt for the high standard of food the food represented really good value for money and we hopefully will be back in November for a winter treat.

Had a great breakfast, reasonably priced and will definitely return. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the interior decor is great. Only gripe was that the menu said the eggs benedict came with crispy streaky bacon but it was served with back, which is less flavoursome... but in all a delicious breakfast.
