We spent a lovely evening here for my mother’s birthday and a small family gathering. They were so accommodating when we added extra people . The food was great, the service was fantastic, thank you so much!

Sensational, wonderful. Excellent food, very good dessert, quick service. Super nice atmosphere. More benefits than cost. Congratulations.

We had a delicious and very eenjoyable evening meal at Gallimores Kitchen last night sitting outside. It was really popular (considering it was a Tuesday) and we could see why. The food was delicious, good value and great, friendly service. We will be back.

First time today, tester visit. Good service, excellent oysters, smoked salmon and skin on fries.. lovely crowd, busy venue, good food, relaxing site....well worth a visit, l'm going back for more. Oysters great as usual. Busy on race days, food always great Another afternoon spent enjoying oysters, great wine, good service and speciality meals.

The steak was said to be delicious, but the seafood prata, £23, was very modest, and the seafood linguine special, although hearty, tasted average. The steak was very nice, however the seafood platter was did not look or taste £23 and was extremely disappointing. The special seafood linguine was a big portion but tasted average.

We were dining during the Wednesday fish night offer . Food and service excellent. Will be back for another theme night. Bonnie had the plaice special, Gavin had the Chicken Bacon and mushroom ballantine.

The food is amazing and the 12.5% tip should go wholey to the kitchen. The waiting staff don't engage at all, in fact I'd go as far to say the last 2 Saturdays they seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else. Mistakes made. Sarah, the Manager has the skills but when she left any kind of service went with her. Real shame.

The food and service were fantastic. The best steak I have had in a long time, cooked to perfection as for the peppercorn sauce , I could have had a bowl of it with some crusty bread, delicious 😋 . Lovely hostess who made you feel very welcome.

Apart from putting the red cabbage in the same dish as the cauliflower cheese we had a very nice Sunday lunch at Gallimores with excellent service. The roast pork was lovely and tender with great crackling and roast potatoes. Peach Melba was also very good and whilst a bit chilly to sit outside we enjoyed the atmosphere of inside

Fantastically delicious food & nice atmosphere. Also very reasonably priced considering the quality of the food. You can easily pay this much for mediocre pub food. Service was a little slow but they were very friendly so just poke them a little. Honestly they should put their prices up by 20%.

Excellent lunch. Steak for me and wonderful Tuna steak for my dad. Nicely cooked good service an atmosphere. Can sit in or outside in the courtyard.

First time dining here, absolute gem! Duck breast, monkfish tails, moules and oysters were lovely. 100% recommend and love the decor and service!

Absolutely perfect night out. We were in Cheltenham for our 40th wedding anniversary and stumbled upon this little gem. Tuna cooked to perfection and the Stone Bass special was exquisite. Service impeccable. Well done everyone.

Best food in Cheltenham without a doubt, especially for the price. Almost always go for a special if it takes your fancy, never had one and not left entirely satisfied with my choice. Menu items are still great but they put something in the specials I am sure of it, no legal way they can taste that good!

Drawn in by the menu we enjoyed an excellent meal of lambs liver followed by affogato and good bottle of wine. The whole place sparkled and it was a most enjoyable experience.

Another excellent meal (3 out of 3 this year!). Sarah and colleagues looked after us 4 well, and we all had great food.

Fantastic Sunday roast,beef so tasty! Vegetarian nut roast good but could have been firmer. Lovely place, great staff.

Went for my thirtieth birthday celebration with my partner. Nice place and location, the staff were incredibly friendly. The food was delicious! We had starters and then for main shared chateaubriand. The only issue we had was the group of loud ladies we had on the table next to us, me and my partner couldn’t hear each other talking. As we left the staff were very nice and gave us recommendations of places to go for cocktails.

Great steak. Well worth a visit

2 out of 6 in our party had the Poke bowls, 1 salmon, and 1 chicken. These 2 were both violently ill/sick the next day. My food - the Salmon Poke bowl - was tasteless and dry. None of the waiters asked us how we found the food when they cleared the table - maybe they're aware of how the food is and so they don't want to ask the customers? Have since learnt that they prep food 2 days in advance, so beware!

Stylishly presented and reasonably priced, seems as if a lot of regulars were dropping in, quite a local bistro sort of feel. However, we had booked a table and were eating there for the first time - the staff didn't take our drinks order until promted and might have been more proactive explaining the specials board etc, considering the 12.5% service charge. No oysters on Sundays!

I booked this restaurant for 28th July for a special occassion. I wasn't a local, hence had to book it based on our love for seafood and the customer reviews. I must say it was an above and beyond experience, mainly due to the passion and care of the restaurant manager Sarah. I had requested for flowers to be kept at our dinner table, not knowing if it would be done, as I thought it was a long shot. However, Sarah had not only bough beautiful flowers, but also had got an extra gift that was relavant to the occassion and she had written a beautiful note. That sort of service could only come from someone whose so passionate about their job, and who will go above and beyond their call. Thank you verymuch Sarah. A rare find I'd say. So the first impressions were fantastic. And the food too was lovingly and tastily prepared. All the staff were very friendly. Great atmosphere. Loved every bit of our experience. Thank you

After reading all of the positive reviews we were excited to try this place out. What a disappointment. The restaurant was entirely empty apart from a group of women at the start of an early vino sesh - which, fair play to them, but being seated directly next to them in an otherwise empty room, made thinking hard, let alone a conversation. My starter came out within minutes which always makes me think its been microwaved, however, giving the benefit of the doubt and putting that aside, almost everything I had was burnt. The garlic bread was charred, the burger bun was black, and the burger itself looked like it hadn't seen moisture for days. My partners wasn't much better. I left with that charcoal taste of carcinogenic burntness that stayed with me for a while. On the up side, the waitress was prompt and attentive (likely given to us being the only people there aside from the pre drinking club). Unfortunately because of the limited customers, this prompt attentiveness meant I could see the waitress out of the corner of my eye most the meal watching us eat. The chips were quite nice.

Simply outstanding place and can't come here often enough. Local restaurant with decently priced yet great quality fare and the service is always friendly. I noticed there were a number of customers addressed by their first name, obviously they've kept coming back too. The menu does change with the seasons and availability, but the half pint prawns were amazing!

Spectacular menu. Staff very attentive & knowledgable. Definitely one of Cheltenham's hidden gems. Let's keep it a secret.

I came here to celebrate my birthday. The food is of good quality and I felt it was all reasonably priced. However, I felt the service was a little slow. I had to chase up the desert menu and then I had to chase up my desert order.

My husband and I visited Gallimores Kitchen for the first time earlier this afternoon and will certainly return because the food was very tasty. I've marked service as four out of five because none of the staff checked that everything was OK with our meal.

Received a delightful welcome upon arriving and a superb service. The food was served quickly once ordered and each course tasted wonderful - obviously freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. Having now experienced the delights of Gallimores Kitchen, it’s obvious why this place receives so many plaudits - I can only add my voice to further another recommendation.

I’ve been here several times and they’ve never let me down. I love all the dishes we’ve tried, especially their daily specials - usually you can find fresh fish on the menu. If the weather is nice, ask for a table outdoor to enjoy the sunshine and tasty food.

Lovely experience. Staff are really welcoming and efficient. The setting is restrained and contemporary. Artwork (for sale! Hooray!) on display. Menu is varied and very clear. Food is absolutely delicious - Veg options too. Chef must have a staff of hundreds to provide such good fare (thanks to all). Confirmed that prices are available from £8-£20. Full bar, cafe hot drinks. What more could I want. Perfect!

Our favourite restaurant in Cheltenham - lovely, freshly prepared food using quality ingredients, but sensibly priced.

At this point I've lost count how many times I've been here. The people that work here are always so kind, welcoming, accommodating and a good laugh. The food is outstanding every time and great value for money. It's my favourite place to go.

Walked in spontaneously without a booking. The margarita was perfect - one of the best I've had. Food was good and we liked the staff. It was the end of the evening but they remained hospitable and didn't rush us.

The Chateaubriand is to die for, absolutely incredible. Service is excellent, atmosphere is perfect and the food quality is great. The choice of wines is very good. Nothing worthy of losing a star here, I thoroughly enjoyed it, absolutely recommend.

Really great little place. We decided to go out for lunch and thought we'd have a look around Montpellier. Decided to go to Gallimores and we were not disappointed. Food was delicious and the Caesar salad I had had plenty of chicken, bacon and croutons. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get good value for money and a tasty lunch. Thank you Galimores for an amazing meal! The food was excellent, the best Sunday roast in Cheltenham. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, and nothing was too much of a trouble for them. I'd highly recommend them and will be coming back for more.

Really nice place for a bit fancier than usual date night or dinner with friends! The food was exceptional (we’ve managed to have starters, main and dessert which doesn’t happen often but we loved it so much that we didn’t want to finish on Mail only!). Staff was super super friendly and made the whole experience really nice. I highly recommend it!

Been there twice by the off- chance. Food was average and service/attention to customer service was awful. Not worth recommending. Shame that given their location.

Wonderful experience. The fruit de mer platter was fresh and perfectly prepared, and Sarah provided excellent service. We live in Buckinghamshire, but are already looking for reasons to return to the area so we can come back to Gallimores.

OMG the shellfish! Fantastic oysters, huge crab and prawns, lovely mussels & clams all excellent quality, perfectly cooked, seasoned and garnished. Topped off with a nice baguette (which I smothered with the gorgeous saffron aioli!) with sides of heirloom tomato & red onion salad and perfect chips. Good fruity/hoppy lager and Italian wine with professional service from Sarah and her team. A great birthday meal for wifey after a trip to Wales, as we have missed great seafood during lockdown! Not expensive.
