We are a local young family and we’re treat very well by the nice man working there. Very happy and great price especially for round here. We will be regular guests now my son is aware it’s there. Defo worth a visit
I ordered at 4pm said that it be 15mins still waiting for my order at 6pm arrival at 6pm all cold it was really horrible then charged me £32.00.all had was 2 portions of chips and 2 double cheese burgers I ringing them nothing did not even say sorry I will never order them again they me£,3 refund
I've been here a few times and ALWAYS feel welcomed. This is clearly a very inclusive little place with a mixture of young and old customers. Their shakes are amazing. My son always chooses the children's strawberry shake but I suspect he's after the teeny marshmallows that top it more than the milk. My very adventurous boyfriend has a different shake each visit.
One thing I will mention is I very nervously took my baby daughter here and wanted to BF her. I felt so comfortable with nods of encouragment from the lady manager.
I have and will continue to recommend this wonderful place.
Well done to everyone at Empty Plates. Good food served by charming people in a thoroughly positive environment. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the food. Thank you.
Just bought 2 cod and chips, My son and I were just there, the chips were soft and slightly burnt and very stale, the fish batter was soft and soggy, not crispy, the fish was dry, over all very stale, even though one cod was cooked to order the batter was still soft and not crispy. We threw the chips away, Regards Alex
Booked a table on a Tuesday evening for some out of town family and friends, as a small get together before a big event the next day. We arrived promptly and was directed to our table by Annie at the bar who was quick with our drink order while we waited for the rest of our party. When everyone had arrived, Caris was very prompt and friendly with supplying menu and giving us some time to look.
Once we had all ordered food, we were sat chatting but didn't wait long for all our food to arrive. All food came out perfect and there was lots of compliments oh the food especially from two of my party that had the pies. I myself had a beautifully cooked sirloin steak and was cooked to absolute perfection.
High compliments were sent to both Jay and Ruby in the kitchen that evening, for there quick service of our meals.
We did finish our meals with some puddings and hot drink and were very stuffed at the end of it.
My party all enjoyed their food so much that there was talks of coming back in the near future.
Highly recommended for food and service.
Unfortunately the the two functions took priority today, as we waited over an hour for basic, mediocre food. Couldn’t cut the roast beef, needed a steak knife! The bill still included service charge! Not good. No warning when we arrived that there was a delay in the kitchen. 3 different excuses given for this. What a shame!

I will not usually give the bad reviews, but this time is I couldn’t control myself, I ordered rotisserie chicken wrap at 20:30 but they sent me normal chicken wrap which I didn’t like it , the main thing they need to inform me earlier before sending me the food because they got the enough time to inform me because I have mentioned the delivery time 9:30 . Really disappointed . I hope I will get the refund
I cannot recommend this burger joint it’s dreadful know lettuce, tomatoes or anything just a rotten experience it cost £5.20 I am surprised these characters are still in business never , never again i can only imagine the walking dead heading into this place for there last meal .👎👎👎👎👎👎🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨
