Just bought 2 cod and chips, My son and I were just there, the chips were soft and slightly burnt and very stale, the fish batter was soft and soggy, not crispy, the fish was dry, over all very stale, even though one cod was cooked to order the batter was still soft and not crispy. We threw the chips away, Regards Alex

Good portion of Cod and chips for £5.50 and eat in. Also service and facilities to be well and truly commended. This will be my go to eatery when I'm in the area.

Always arrives hot, fresh and well coiked. My family all agree that The Chip Shop is the best we have found in Worthing. Thoroughly recommended.

Visiting wickes, hopped over the road for battered sausage and chips lunch, ate in car while listening to England losing cricket again. Nice friendly shop, open to 2pm.

Iv had fish and chips quite a few times from here, and I must say it has always been very good quality. The chips are cooked well and the cod is fresh and has a juicy bite to it with a nice crunchy batter. The shop is a very modern and a very clean look to it. Friendly staff I would not hesitate to recommend.

On staying in my son for week end we decided to have fish and chips my son said this is good one so looked on line to order but the prices were higher when I called as they not updated menu I placed my order, the service was good polite delivery the fish was good but chip a bit soft not nice crunchy coloured chip not best shop I had in Worthing so would not go back

Every time we use the chip shop it delivers fantastic food and real value for money. It stands head and shoulders above everybody else. Defimitely recommend the chip shop special, it will feed an entire family! I cannot believe that it is for one person, its a banquet on its own

This is our second time ordering due to our usual stopping delivery service, the first meal was ok, we agreed we would give it another go but this meal was awful. The large fish was thin and rock hard, it was inedible, the child's meal didn't come with the drink it said would be part of it, and the medium cod was also small.

Quick delivery,friendly driver! Love it when I ask for chilli peppers and they give me a tub full :)) Sometimes kebabs and burgers can be a little poor when busy but over all happily order again... cheap and cheerful meal!

Didn't have as many chips compared to the jumbo meal, so don't even bother getting other than a jumbo sausage and chips. Everything else was just OK. Not brilliant unfortunately.

This is a gem. Old style family run fish & chip takeaway. They really take pride in getting it right. Try their large chicken kebab for a change - outstanding ! Haddock last night was super really fresh I often ring ahead and collect - always ready exactly on time and piping hot They have a very efficient delivery service as well. Try the donar kebab. Looks and tastes really fresh

Unfortunately this is the third time we've experienced this with the chip shop. Food arrives well into the second hour and is cold. Such a shame as the service and quality seems to have really gone down hill. We will be buying elsewhere from now on.

Fish and chips cooked to order even on a Saturday night. The haddock tasted fresh not frozen; the chips good but in my view needed to be more chrispy to be perfect.

We've never had a bad experience, it's become our Family Friday Treat. Great friendly service and delivered before estimated time!! Highly recommended!!

The worst Takeaway I've ever had took an hour longer then it should of and when it got here I could tell the chips and everything had been sitting around for ages as they were soggy and disgusting would not recommend this ATALL ! Stay clear

Very nice chips - extremely generous portion! I went for large chips but small would have been easily enough; and I could eat for England! Didn't order any fish but the burger was nice, although the bun was a bit well done but still tasted good. I also asked for no salad but it turned up with salad, no big deal for me really! Delivery took 40 minutes and the food was piping hot. Would recommend.

Everytime I order from here the food never disappoints... One of the few delivering fish and chip shops! And their brownie cake is awesome!!

Disappointing... We ordered from here before and everything was fine, however this time the plaice was extremely watery (not oily) and was just a big mush.. chips were nice though but could have been at least a bit warmer.

Our order took and hour and a half to arrive, the food was cold and I didn't receive the drinks and desert I paid for. When I called to chase the delivery I was told "we've been busy", when I called for a refund for my missing items no one picked up the phone.

Whilst the quality of the food was relatively good, it was unfortunate that the order was fulfilled as expected with regards to the drink selection. Diet Cola is regrettably far inferior to its "full fat" counterpart - hence my slight annoyance. Had it been made clear at the time that regular Cola was unavailable i would have opted for an alternative full fat replacement - or none at all.

Having used this take away a couple of times I put the problems we had down to teething issues unfortunately this is not the case me and my family have just had a meal from there and a can honestly say its the worst I have had half the food was missing the meal was stone cold all of it and when I phoned to question this I was told that I was basically a liar and that I had ordered something different when I had a menu in front of me I would never use this takeaway again never

Delicious. The only critisism is that there was a little too much batter on the fish, however my partner ate all of his, and the part I left, so that is obviously due to individual taste!

Tbh the reason for the low scores is that I had requested a cerain delivery slot and they turned up 40 minutes early which meant I was still putting children to bed etc so couldn´t get on with enjoying the food, when I have had food from over the counter it has been good.

Food as ever is excellent, and the delivery time was accurate. Burgers and chips were cooked perfectly.

I have NEVER been looked at with such utter distaste as I was by their delivery man. He thrust the food into my hands and when I said thankyou, he said yeah right and stamped off. I´ve NEVER ever been treated that way by a delivery person before! He looked at me as if I had answered the door in an nazi uniform. I will NEVER order from The Chip Shop again! DISGUSTING!

Food was nice and sufficient for me, plenty of scampi and it was perfect. My partner had issues with his Haddock but I can´t remember what.

We ate Haddock and Huss from The Chip Shop in Worthing. The fish was fresh in a lovely crisp batter served with huge portions of chips. Overall a great meal and I wouldn´t hesitate to order from there again.

Overall very good. Ordered 3 times so far with good service and freindly delivery girl. Only problem is them seem to not read messages. Asked for Salt & Vinegar on all chips all 3 times and they always arrive with nothing.

Excellent! Never order fish + chips for delivery before as not sure how fish wld ´travel´ but arrived piping hot in a box, lovely white skinned fish with light crispy batter. Excellant delivery within 25 mins. Very friendly delivery girl too.
