The best restaurants in Marine Worthing South East

I have posted a lot of photos, but I really wanted you to see just how beautiful Orchid House Worthing is. I had been meaning to visit for sometime. Last night, four of us visited for cocktails, sharing boards and wine. What we experienced was out of this world. The ambiance, welcome, styling, dining and drinking were all thoughtful, memorable and deeply satisfying. We were welcomed at the gates and taken through a beautiful zen garden into a very stylish house. We were invited to sit in the dining room or start our evening in the bar. We voted for cocktails in the bar. We were shown to a lovely table adorned with fresh red roses. Cocktails were exceptional, served with spiced cashews (secret recipe) and olives, and a delicious amuse bouche from the kitchen. Three of my party had birthdays, and we felt so at home, thinking nothing of exchanging gifts and opening these at the table. After a lovely time chatting and drinking cocktails and also a delicious French Sauvignon Blanc, we were shown to our table. The dining room is beautiful. Stylish, chic and comfortable. Inspired by eastern philosophy and world travels. Eye catching furniture and artefacts sit proudly against white washed walls and Victorian moulded ceilings. It really is a stunning setting. Words are insufficient in capturing the beauty of that space. Our red wine was opened and poured and then the sharing platters arrived. I can’t even begin to describe these. Perhaps “WOW!” will suffice! Look at the photographs! We were blown away. These were generous boards, laden with delight after delight. Homemade jams and breads. The focaccia was out of this world. We were served a warm addition from the kitchen too…a delightful stuffed cabbage. It was incredible. We sat at our table and grazed. Alex and Ashee were perfect hosts. Checking in and chatting. Exemplary hosting and genuine passion for food and wine and the magic of a great dining experience. We were even presented with birthday treats after the meal. An amazing choux bun filled with the most delectable rose-water cream and a gorgeous glass of homemade sloe gin. Our Orchid House experience had come to an end. However, the energy and memories from last night will never end. It really was a momentous occasion. I felt very blessed and grateful to have experienced this gem. We have many glorious places to eat and drink and make merry here in Worthing. Orchid House must be experienced in my opinion. It’s unique and really rather special.

New Year's Eve takeaway. Food was fine, but the restaurant was overwhelmed. People walking out having waited so long. We ordered food at 18.40 - ready for collection at 19.48. Apparently. We eventually received the order at 21.30. Chaos in the kitchen - surely a busy NYE was foreseeable?

Did the lunch time tapas menu. Great food, great service and great entertainment from Sam, who played the guitar and sang happy birthday to three different groups including our own in the restaurant. Would definitely recommend

Breakfast was OK found sausages very small but the main issue is the price nearly £10 for a small breakfast and nearly £14 for a full English but only 1 small sausage. It cost us over £37 for a small breakfast and full English with drinks plus they put on a service charge which you can ask them to remove but I would not do that would I go back no just because of the prices. Staff very friendly and polite.

Lovely atmosphere and ideal to sit in comfort have a chat and relax.

Nipped in to get a quick drink to catch up with a friend. The staff were helpful The table I sat at was clean And they drink is what you would expect although I do wish they made the drink hotter they always seem to be luke warm.

You get what you pay for, lovely service :)

I have visited this cafe twice now with my father in law who is in a wheelchair and frail. Both times the staff have been so welcoming, not minding me doing furniture moving to get dad into a spot where he will be happy. They have also been very understanding about my requests for the way dads drinks are made. We haven't eaten there yet, but the food looks lovely and everyone I have seen has cleared their plates. They also have a children's play area for younger children. I would recommend this cafe to everyone.

Lovely brunch. Had vegan breakfast X2. Very quick service. Younger staff not overly friendly but older ones definitely are which made for an enjoyable experience. Lovely quality of food and portions. Very nice decor . Just what we needed on a miserable rainy day.

Disgusting slimy chips, horrible batter that stuck to the paper, awful shop that needs redecorating and organisation. Don't waste your money here

Don't let these guys deliver your take away. You will be waiting double the time they tell you - every time. If you can't collect it, don't bother.

Disappointed Pizza Hut Goring delivery. Undercooked pizzas & wedges. Some of the wedges were green. Completely different colour then the rest, they don’t even look like they were cooked with the others, more like deliberately put in 🤮🤮 Also ice-cream pot missing that comes with the cookie dough. Phoned to complain and was told thats how they come, and the ice cream was complementary, but it says on the website it comes with it so no replacement or call to say they had run out. They Wont replace the pizzas or wedges. AVOID!! 😡😡😡

So a few things, the food I rate some of the best fried wings in worthing. Good size portions also. Please bare in mind this WAS my go to chicken place and had been since it opened. That sadly will change as of this evening! The price hike is eye watering to say the least. A burger meal in here is now £7.99 and six wings are £5.10 on there own. I know the world has got expensive but I don't understand the pricing in here at all. By all means increase your price fairly but don't rip us a new one. Sad for me but I won't be returning.
