Gone downhill rapidly! Use this kebab van regularly but Iām afraid this was my last visit. I used to always collect but have recently started using the delivery service because of ease. However the last 2 times they have messed my order up, the 1st time adding the wrong sauce, and this time my wife ordered a chicken burger with lettuce and cheese and when opened she had a box of hot wings. The salad freshness and quantity has improved but the meat quality has got worse. Not only that my last few visits Iāve found the doner meat not very well done just a very pale grey and the chicken Iāve had to check every piece as Iāve found a few pieces still very pink in the middle. Iāve given it a 3 and not less because the pizzas are a big hit with the kids and on the odd occasion the kebabs are very good but the odd occasion is not good enough. Sorry Boss Kebab but this was my last.

I booked a room at this hotel through Agoda. Big, big mistake. Avoid that site like the plague. They have all the tricks in the trade to avoid you communicating with them. I needed to cancel the booking because I found that the hotel was much further from my destination than I had realised. Tried through Agoda. no chance. So tried to phone hotel. First time after three long attempts a waitress answered and said she couldn't cancel a booking but the owner will be back in 2 hours, She will give him a message. He didn't phone back. Next day, I tried to phone them three times. Each call timed out. I am 84 and use hotels frequently, usually 3 star or above at least 10 - 15 times each and every year since I was 20. The place is clearly a pub / restaurant which runs a few rooms B&B on the side - very unprofessionally have never experienced this degree of non-contact ability.

We purchased a Groupon voucher in good faith for a Sunday breakfast for 4. We then spent over 3 weeks trying to book a table, as their phone was never answered ! We then tried a web enquiry, to which we got no response. So we visited one evening, to find 1 young lad running the place, which was completing empty, telling us food was no longer served there ! I understand the fact that changes happen in businesses, but the fact that Groupon are still selling vouchers is very poor. It is inexcusable that Wicks have not contacted them to remove their offers !

To us, there were no Indian spices in our meal (biryanis, side, bread). Everything looked the same: yellow and tasted the same:salty and fatty. The paratha & naan were soggy and fell apart into a mess. Ironically, we were attracted to this takeaway by all the 5 star reviews, which, we have concluded, must be works of fiction. Did not consume very much of it, but it was enough to make us unwell. The first and last time we will be using this establishment.

First place is a local fish and chip shop we visited many times over the past 20 years. During that time it has been operated by various different owners/managers with varying degrees of tastiness and efficiency. Today we were pleasantly surprised to see the new owners and requested our usual fish, chips and mushy peas. We always ask for small portions, but we really couldnāt have eaten anymore of this delicious food. In the terminology of an old TV advert from many years ago, the food looked good, tasted good and my goodness it went down well.

Unsure why there are bad reviews for this restaurant. We were staying at the hotel as a family with a 2 year old. We really enjoyed our food. The staff were great. Great deal where kids eat free with paying adult. Would definitely eat there again

A perfect spot for a leisurely lunch. In fairness, this hotel has been part of my family's celebrations, gatherings, weddings etc (through multiple hotel owners and chains) since about 1973. We keep coming back. Excellent staff, knowledgeable and helpful. Sunday lunch 12MAY2024.

The last time I came here the place was called The Bean Below which was pricey but worth the money and packed out. It's been a while so the place must've changed hands. A colleague and I came here for a simple sausage roll and a cuppa. We came in and ordered a cup of tea and a hot sausage roll for me and a banana milkshake and a hot sausage roll for my colleague. Mine came to Ā£6.45 which I thought "I know where I've come, this isn't Greggs"! Don't know what my colleagues came to but I'm pretty sure it's was over Ā£8. Both of our sausage rolls were dry and chewy. They were luke warm on the outside and cold in the middle. My tea was alright but you can't get that wrong really. My colleague, however, described her banana milkshake as disgusting and left most of it along with the sausage roll. When the waitress came over I told her nicely that the sausage rolls weren't very nice. She said, "Ok I'll tell the chef"! That was it. No one apologised, no one came out, nothing. If we hadn't been in work clothes we both said we'd ask for our money back but sadly we were and just left. We both wish we had gone to Greggs.

I was inspired to write this review by seeing a Greggs eating numpty slamming the place for price. Yeah, they're not cheap but you're paying for quality ingredients and an amazing product which is value for money. For less than a fiver you're getting a huge sweet treat with complex flavours, a very satisfying, delightfully flaky pastry and a very satisfying and filling experience. If you want a hit of sugar and bland white, air filled bread? There are cheaper options! You won't get a limp chicken pasty here. If you want extremely satisfying bread made with high quality flour and an amazing crust? If you want tasty, sweet pastries with a delicious zing? If you love good food rather than ultra processed? Then this won't bust your budget and will fill you up. The venue itself is a warehouse with some benches other branches are much nicer.

I really do try to refrain from giving out one and two star reviews but sadly on this occasion there was no way of avoiding it. The Cafe itself is well located for bus station customers in Winchester and offers a reasonable range of food. The main issues for me was that the cafe itself is incredibly run down and shabby which in itself makes the place feel uninviting. Whats more, the standard of cleanliness is pretty poor - tables were left dirty, lots of uncleaned spillage marks on the counter and a glance into the kitchen area also had me doubting the hygiene practices of the establishment. The standard of service was pretty poor with the person serving me saying as little as possible and making no effort to make me feel welcome. When it came to the food - it was mediocre at best - poor quality and lacking flavour. Places like this serve a purpose - but I think the owners need to invest a little time, effort and money into making this cafe a little better. I can't say I would feel comfortable eating there again sadly. If I can find a positive, it is that the food is very reasonably priced. But I think this also reflects in the quality of the food. I would rather have paid a little more for better quality food. This is my first review below a 3 star, so I would like to think that I am not the toughest critic out there!

Ordered on deliveroo and after waiting an hour and a half, calling and being told they were understaffed with no drivers and offering to collect in return for a refunded delivery fee, I arrived to find that the store was dark, empty and up for let. The helpful employee in the OneStop next door informed me that they had been closed down and out of business for a long time. Somebody related to this store has scammed Ā£60 out of some students. Please be careful.

We usually visit the fareham branch for family occasions and we always have a good experience. This time we saw that the manu had changed and some of our fave items had been removed. Please bring back a hotdog and grilled chicken burger. It doesnt have to all be fried.

I had the lamb rump and my partner had the buttermilk chicken burger, both were superb, my lamb was pink and juicy and absolutely superb. The staff here are so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, they even made a fuss of our dog, with off cuts of beef as a special treat. Highly recommend š
