Wicks Bar & Grill Knowle Village in Winchester

We purchased a Groupon voucher in good faith for a Sunday breakfast for 4. We then spent over 3 weeks trying to book a table, as their phone was never answered ! We then tried a web enquiry, to which we got no response. So we visited one evening, to find 1 young lad running the place, which was completing empty, telling us food was no longer served there ! I understand the fact that changes happen in businesses, but the fact that Groupon are still selling vouchers is very poor. It is inexcusable that Wicks have not contacted them to remove their offers !

Used a Groupon to book a breakfast, having not heard of the restaurant before. We were very pleasantly surprised by the great value and quality of the food and the lovely and friendly service from our server. Will return again.

Evening cancelled and despite numerous phone calls and messages we have not received a refund. Threatened with police if I turned up for a cash refund. Appalling behaviour for a local councillor George Madgwick who owns restaurant.

Brilliant Michael Jackson tribute night, amazing food, the vegan burger was delicious. Great service. Highly recommended. Thanks for a great night!!

I have been trying to contact the restaurant for a copy of their menu and to book a table but no one is responding

The first year in at least 22 years I’ve not cooked the Christmas dinner, and what a treat this place is. Table of 8, attentive and extremely helpful staff. The food was wonderful, fresh and cooked to perfection. Thank you to all involved who made our Christmas day so wonderful !! Will without a doubt will be returning again.

16 of us booked for my wife's birthday and we couldn't be happier with the food, service and atmosphere. I had the full rack of ribs and it was outstanding. the staff sorted out a simple Pasta dish and garlic bread for our 2 year old followed by some Ice cream. Excellent value for your money!! Just a fantastic restaurant with an amazing atmosphere will definitely be going back.

No signage so difficult to find if at right venue. Shown to our pre booked table only then to be told when sat down no hot drinks as machine broken! Take it they never heard of a kettle!! Then told us a list of all that was not available. Menu quite expensive for what you get. Ordered soup which was listed as a starter. Had nice flavour but very small and very thin. Bit disappointing for £5. Music playing was nice but we were the only ones in there. On the whole we would definitely not go back

The Wicks Bar and Grill looked after 8 of us recently for Sunday lunch and it was really nice. The beef that some if had was cooked perfectly and the roast came with all the trimmings. The pork belly also looked really good. Our children enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and there is room for them to run around outside too. This place is underused but well worth a visit.
