Thali Indian Takeaway in Winchester

To us, there were no Indian spices in our meal (biryanis, side, bread). Everything looked the same: yellow and tasted the same:salty and fatty. The paratha & naan were soggy and fell apart into a mess. Ironically, we were attracted to this takeaway by all the 5 star reviews, which, we have concluded, must be works of fiction. Did not consume very much of it, but it was enough to make us unwell. The first and last time we will be using this establishment.

I ordered a deliver through Just Eat and it was going to be delivered within an hour which is normal. After an hour and a half I tried to find out where our food was, Just Eat said it had been moved on half an hour due to the Restaurant being very busy. Half an hour came and went still no food, tried calling them but no answer, called several times, in the end contact Just Eat and the outcome from that was I would hear within 48 hours! No Food no contact from Thali explaining the situation. We decided that we would have to see what we had to make a quick bite to eat as did not think any food was coming. As we sat down to eat our make shift dinner, the bell rang and it was our deliver OVER 2 HOURS LATE! We complained to the driver, which was not actually his fault and he gave us the food. It had clearly been stood around for along time, starters were rock hard and meal was cold. Totally unsatisfactory. Will NEVER use them again, would definitely not recommend them at all. By the way still nothing back from Just Eat or the Thali

I pre ordered our takeaway from Thali the night before and they were more than happy to cater to my sister's dairy, egg and soya free dietary requirements. The food was delicious and delivered on time. Thank you very much!

The food was all lovely and staff very helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend this as a great takeaway option!

I ordered from Deliveroo given the circumstances, including a chicken amnah and lamb samosas. Just as I was eating it I found myself chewing on something particularly strange so picked it out my mouth, horrified to find it was a fingernail. I've attached the pictures of the nail in this review that I sent to Deliveroo when I complained as I really urge everyone to avoid this place as a health and safety concern. As I say, I have raised this with Deliveroo and they are dealing with it, fingers crossed, however I do feel like I should warn people given with coronavirus at the moment in particular finding fingernails in your curry is not acceptable by any standard and they're still taking orders tonight despite this.

I pick up my takeaway there all the time. Great new kitchen. The guy who runs it, Tizz is a absolute gent, always looks after his customers. I'd always ask him for recommendations as he might make you up something not on the menu. They are really accommodating (he can do mild versions for kids) and the curry is amazing... incomparable.

Absolutely incredible food and great service! Quick delivery and really enjoyed the shatkora and the half a tandoori chicken. All the meat was so succulent. Also so cleanly and disinfected everything before giving us the food during this corona virus. Such friendly staff every single time we have ordered. My family’s favourite Indian takeaway!

I ordered a delivery on Saturday night. And I could tell it was busy night, but my food still arrived promptly, with lovely service. And the food was just incredible, definitely worth the wait. Best Indian curry I’ve had for a while. Highly recommend a trip down to Stanmore Thali takeaway.

Amazing Food and a great find. New Indian Takeaway. We've used twice in two weeks. Very good food at excellent prices and free deliver for 3 mile radius. The blend of spices for our dishes were greet and order direct as the just eat menu is condensed. Garlic chilli chicken with fresh garlic rice lots of fresh chillies 5☆ prawn dansak was perfect with peshwari nan which i'd prefer thinner but no complaints. Onion bahjiis. Free salad and mint sauce. Delicious and excellent value and not greasy. Arrived hot and on time. Thank you With the second order we ordered lamb pathia which was very nice too.
