Our local cafe recently changed hands to become The Cheek Monkeys Cakery. We visited the day after the much anticipated re-opening, for a Cheeky breakfast. The vegetarian Mega-breakfast fitted the bill (and filled the tummies!) perfectly. The food was freshly cooked and really tasty, with the plates being very full. The veggie sausages in particular had a great flavour. The new decor is bright and fresh and the environment is comfortable and airy. The service is fine- Hayley and her colleagues are friendly and welcoming. Subsequently to our breakfast we popped back to sample the home-baked cakes, which we'd eyed before but we're comfortably filled by our breakfast. After a light lunch we enjoyed a Crunchie flapjack and a slice of coffee & walnut cake- both of which were delicious. There's much to recommend about the Cheeky Monkeys Cakery- well worth a visit for breakfast, lunch or just coffee and cakes with friends. Highly recommended!

What a gem of a place, fantastic friendly service, home made cakes and fresh coffee, im partial to my oat milk and they had that too. Set at a county cross roads where you can see on a sunny day all the toys people bring out, cars motorcycles, scooters. 100% recommend

We stayed at this spot while attending a wedding nearby. Once we checked in the owner was very apologetic explaining how the Wifi was not working - he then took us up to our room which was small but cosy. We had dinner on the Friday night and the food was to a good quality and price bracket not bad also. The highlight of this place is the breakfast in the morning - nothing is too much bother and it is presented really well. It is easy to access the property if you are coming in late at night and there is a car park as well. Really well run and very clean! Worth a stay if you are close by!

Clos Du Marquis certainly exceeded our expectations. We had such a lovely lunch. The whole experience was very impressive from start to finish. It feels rare to find such a special little French restaurant in the home countries these days. We will be recommending to friends and family.

Over priced microwave food. We ordered ‘oven’ warmed bread for the table, it came out served on a platter on top of a black paper serviette, because it had clearly been warmed in the microwave the moisture meant the serviette had actually stuck to the bread. The rest of the food that came out was more worthy of a weatherspoons rather than a hotel Restaurant. The prices they are charging for dessert you would expect something pretty special but for £9.50 my husband got a very soggy apple crumble tart clearly just warmed in the microwave. When we were asked if everything was ok and we commented it was alright for microwave food not one of the staff denied it. Would not eat here again.

I'd heard it had changed hands a year ago, and went based on new recommendation. So, we'd gone in there just after Christmas with family and it looked welcoming enough with decor made up, but needed to keep our coats on for a while until the bar area warmed up as the fire went out, with an empty log shack. Quickly became a full house, however, staff were attentive, and only 20 mins wait for food. I had a nut roast, with all the trimmings, and we were all happy with our meals, all very nicely cooked. Tip- if you go for a sunday roast or around bank holls, book well in advance. New Update - The manager has recently left to reventure into another local pub, taking his chef with him, so it is probably under interim management.

A thoroughly enjoyable stop off at the McDonald's within Sutton Scotney services in Hampshire. This is for many reasons but the first one that must be mentioned is the fact that this was unlike any other McDonald's I have ever been in. Everything was clean, everything seemed to be being done to order (it probably wasn't, but you got that impression), and the customers were not your usual rag tag, knuckle-dragging ensemble of Braydons/Jaydons/Nevaehs etc, there almost certainly wasnt a single Universal Credit payment amongst them - they were genuinely nice, polite people. And this was just as well, because the second reason (and perhaps the most important reason) is that the staff were positively charming. Trying to get any sort of conversation out of a monosyllabic inner-city McDonald's worker is indeed a Sisyphean task, however at this particular branch then staff were all a delight - especially the young girl at the counter (I didn't catch her name - thin and blonde) who was superb. She was a credit to the company. I was impressed by them all, even the older dark haired lady who wasn't wearing a hair-net when dealing with food. I have experienced a first today - perhaps a one-off that will go down as legend amongst my family - a genuinely pleasant and enjoyable experience inside a McDonalds. Well done to all involved. Superb!
