Costa Coffee Roadchef Sutton Scotney South Southbound in Winchester

Stopped for a coffee break and had been on the road a while. Spotted a ginger cake and it looked delicious was about to order when I spotted a fly buzzing around in the cake cabinet sampling all the cakes. I changed my mind very quickly but informed the young foreign lady behind the counter. I was floored by her response that it had been there all day( it was midday) and that they tried to get it out but couldn't catch it. So I guess they just closed the cabinet doors and left it inside ....disgusting! I certainly lost my appetite and wondered what the health inspectors would think of this......I am disgusted and not impressed.

Make sure you get a receipt from your server as their colleague will go to the till after and say you payment was declined and will insist you pay again, despite your bank app showing it is paid and your server having already asked if you want a receipt at the end of the transaction. Rude and abrupt. Beware. Is this a new scam to get sales. Captive audience who are unlikely to be local and travel back. The most expensive coffees we’ve ever had.

Very good service as usual and the re design is good.

Exactly what you’d expect from Costa Coffee. The service station has ample parking.

Employee was really friendly and got tea within a matter of seconds.

Have a hot drink with a generous helping of woke political ideologies. No thanks. I'll go somewhere that's tastier, healthier, less expensive and less woke from now on.

Poor customer service, long awaiting time to be served and lack of oat or almond milk for customer with allergies. Not recommend this Costa point

More expensive than a standard Costa. You're paying for the convenience, not the quality. Very watery latte. By 10:30 am the staff member who served us had forgotten to smile and say thank you. Perhaps he had been there hours.

Generally far too busy for a coach break. Waited for my drink to take out and had to ask where my biscuit was. They'd forgotten to hand it to me.

Just like any motorway stop. Nothing special

Costa Coffee on one side, and McDonald's on the other side. What's not to like? You can leave the kids on one side for a Happy Meal while you go the other side for a happy coffee. Just kidding, leave the kids in the car...😄

We stop here on our way to Winchester. A bit expensive but good.

Always use this stop on the way to Portsmouth Always clean and tidy Staff pleasant.

Walked in and had the store manager roll their eyes at us and the barista laughed. Was over charged as we showed a valid Costa discount card and wasn't given any discount. The drinks were also made wrong.

Really rude staff, asked for vanilla which wasn’t in my drink and then told repeatedly that I didn’t ask for it and that was wrong even though I did and after offering to pay for it politely

What can you say about motorway service's as long as toilets are clean and the very expensive is good as Costa is. Always stop here 1st toilet break on our way to Portsmouth From Grimsby, yes it does it's well see you next year

Only popped in to use the loos. They were fairly clean. The place itself was pretty deserted. Some of the prices were on the expensive side, but I guess that's because it's a service area.

We found that the hot chocolate 🍫 was most enjoyable. Have been stopping at this service station 🚉 since the 80s. Mc Donald is next-door.

This is one of the cleanest and most friendly of the Costa sites. The staff here are always friendly and helpful, the tables and floors and gleaming and shiny. And as always the food is fresh and tasty. The most important thing here is that the staff seem to work as a team and that's how they offer such an excellent customer experience.

Great Costa on the last time there, great drink that was done nice and quickly and tasted really nice, the McDonald's although not upto full speed due to covid was nice and quick serving.

Easy access to car park with adequate number of spaces. Good choice of refreshments available with friendly service. Well laid out inside to enhance COVID safety

The coffee quality can be better but it's good. I'm always stop to take away some white coffee no suggar and with cold milk. Have a good space to sit and read a newspaper or update the social medias. It's a good break for a long travel. I stopped my car with my family and take some breath. Went to the toilet and drank some coffee. It was a good choice because the traffic to Bournemouth was horrible.

A welcoming and friendly team work here, food is great and the coffee is as you expect of the highest standards. A regular stop for me whenever i am in the area. 10/10

Good place to stop clean loos decor a bit depressing plus why do all modern coffee outlets have to be so noisy has anyone ever taken the decemble level on the customers side they might be surprised a good cup of coffee though

The Emmental & mushroom toastie was reasonably nice but the cappuccino wasn't hot enough and I didn't get the syrup I asked for (and paid for). Disappointing as my local Costa is very good.

Hot chocolate should mean hot chocolate not luke warm, ok for a one off.

Not the best Costa I've had and I drink a lot of Costa Coffee. Staff arguing about who signed for what got order wrong. Toastie was served in bits. Cake wasn't fresh. And why does it cost more for everything at this Costa than at another Costa?

This review just proves you can get Costa WiFi in Mucky D's next door! I expect Costa is great too...?
