Visited for some tea for my Grandaughter so a simple Happy Meal. After 20 minutes and watching people who came after me being served I approached the counter. I was met bh an aggressive young lady who immediatelu went on the offensive stating they had to "deliver meals in the order they were received". Clearly the system does not work. In addition while standing there we watched a dark haired young man running his jand through his hair rubbing his face an nose and then clearltly handling 2 meals being prepped. Thankfully not ours. If Food Drandards happen to visit thia store I suspect it would be closed down with the amount of discarded food on the floor. It would be a very cold day in hell before I ever stop at this services or Macdonalds in the future. As the MD website says speak to the store straight away. In this example I did that and they were rude, defensive and down right dissmissive.

Fifth time I have dropped in at a variety of times each time no shakes or ice cream available told by McD’s customer service that I was just unlucky and scheduled maintenance was obviously the reason for its unavailability. There again I am a very unlucky person.

We stopped for coffee on way to Southampton for cruise and met a lovely lady Rowena member of staff what a credit to the company it's so nice these days to meet such a lovely person very helpful

Oh dear! Really slooooow service and then one burger so cold it had to go back. Rest of food warm and nuggets were nice. My oasis drink was fine but my daughters was really strong. Chips very salty so went in the bin. Expensive for mainly poor quality food. Can't recommend

The macdonalds at this services is wholeheatedly the best one i have ever been to. I recently moved to southhampton from manchester and have often frequented this service station on many occasions for the macdonalds experience. I have been to many Macdonalds in my lifetime but this Macdonalds is single-handedly the best one to exist in history. The quality of the food is like no other. The chicken nuggets are the crispiest once i’ve ever had and the chips are perfectly salted with the right amount of crunch. it’s not the nearest macdonalds to where as i live, maybe passing 3 others on the way but it is worth the 30 minute drive. The atmosphere is impeccable and the place genuinely bring a smile to my face. words genuinely can’t describe how much people are missing out on the sensational scran that is being created here.

We had to use out of necessity and never any McDonald's again. It's a ridiculously awful product at a stupidly expensive price. Not even cheap any more. We stopped here overnight at the days in on route to a cruise out of Southampton. There's no comparison between this dump and the quality on board the ship. How is McDonald's so popular?

You could expire or old age waiting for your order here! We waited about 25 mins but another lady told us she’d been waiting 40 mins! Kind of the opposite of fast food.

Amazing my favourite fast food restaurant I love it so much the service isn’t that long only live about 7 mins away from it when you drive there in a car really recommend 🫶😊

On way back from Southampton to the midlands we stopped off at breakfast time. Nice staff. Clean and tidy. Just as o expect it to be.

Stopped off here to grab a quick bite to eat during a downpour, the place doesn't inspire a welcoming feeling in fact quite the opposite as it's just a large open space with a counter and tables, ok it's just a McDonalds but at least it could be inviting. Now, on to the food, fries and Mc Nuggets, not a tricky combination but they somehow managed to cool it significantly prior to serving, couldn't be bothered to complain as we were in a rush plus the staff didn't look like they would have been interested in listening anyway. Shame as it really doesn't take much to make you feel welcome and to present you with hot food, I guess just not here.

If you've been to one McDonald's you've pretty much been to them all. This one has the standard electronic menu, ordering and payment robots. It seems to be busy at all times of the day and night: but the staff work efficiently as a team, and the orders flow out of the kitchen promptly. Staff are pleasant and polite.

Filthy tables, floors over flowing bins at 8.30pm on 19th August. Waited 15 minutes for meal. Many customers going back for missed items.

What an appalling restaurant, even after ordering on the app I still had to wait 30 mins to collect the food I ordered..... I made a complaint to McDonalds and they offered me an insulting 10% off any future order - as highlighted they are offering 20% if you order via the McDonalds app so their offer is insulting..!!! Pathetic McDonalds..!! Avoid, Avoid, Avoid..!!!!

Porque el domingo es el día de la semana más importante por lo tanto es muy importante pasar tiempo disfrutando comida clase mundial en un ambiente sofisticado. Hoy en día hay tanto opcciónes que puedes eligir y hay que elige bien y con mucho cuidado. Despues mucho pontificacando finalmente decidimos que iríamos al nuestros restaurante favourito, McDonalds, por supuesto. Cuando llegamos era un poco ocupado y me puse un poco nervioso pero no necesité preocuparse porque hay opccíones diferentes para pedir. Sin embargo tuvimos que llegar a una decision pronto porque el parque de los coches se convertía lleno con coches, así que si habíamos decido usar el "drive thru" entonces nos corriamos el riesgo que harbiá lleno cuando regersamos. Era un riesgo demasiado alto para considerar entonces fuimos dentro para pedir. No lo sé lo que pasó porque, de repente me puse nervioso. Tal vez estuvo las pantallas enorme demonstrando los menús o los fotos de la comida. Bueno no pude decidir lo que comprar y al final sabía que tenía que tomar una decision y cuando lo hice que podría ver la mirada horrorizado en la car de la cajera! ¿Por que? Porque había pido para todo, pollo, papas fritas, pescado, carne de vaca, pan, ensalada, café té, zumo de naranja y si por no fuera bastante, pastel de manzana, postres y panecillos chocolate y frambuesa y límon. Bueno, despues dentro de veinte minutos teníamos nuestros comida y fuimos afuera tenerlo en el coche. Era deliciosa, una combinacíon de los sabores del mundo pero mi favourito tiene que ser salsa agridulce, me recuerda a Asia. Y por supesto las hamburguesas me recueda el EEUU. Era un día inolvidable, comida fantastica, excelente relacíon calidad-precio, vistas hermosas y tanta sofisticacíon. No tiene absolutamente ningún sentido intentarlo en otro lugar. Este lugar tiene todo, mejor dicho, más de lo que podrías querer o desear. Estaba preocuparse poruqe no quise haciendo el ridicúlo o meter la pata, sin embargo ahora mismo estoy feliz y mi cartera tambíen.

Al principio estaba cabreado cuando no podrìa tener mi comida al dentro, sin embargo al final todo fue buen y esto pasò porque McDonald's venden comida clase mundial y aùn en el estacìon de parque dònde estaba en mi coche comiendo mis Platos de comida. Guau. No podrìa creerlo. Comida deliciosa y la estrella. Papas fritas con sal.

Hoy en dìa es tan difìcil encontrar un restaurante que ofren comida deliciosa y excelente relacìon calidad-precio y por eso estoy tan feliz ahora mismo. Disfrutè pollo con papas fritas y salsa dulce y amargo y postres y sobre todo cafè exterior del mundo. No tengo mucho dinero y cuando decidì la cuenta tuve miedo pero due barato.

Antes de nada tengo que decitre que no iba a visitar este restaraunte pero tan pronto como vi la letra M en amarillo, supe que necesitaba parar. Guau. Una decisìon muy buena. Este Lugar es muy sofisticada y limpiar y tiene vistas hermosas y inolvidable. Nuevamente no podrìa decidir què tener y mi esposa se estaba volviendo cada vez más impaciente y al final el jefe me da ayuda para me asvisa los mejores platos. El menù es muy Grande y sofisticado y està monstrado en pantallas muy grande pero por supuesto es casi imposible eligir. Lo que pasa es que usted tiene que pagar para aparcar su coche por más de 2 horas. Tenià pasò noventa y cinco minutos intentando decidir què quise comer. Bueno al final todo era bien y disfrutè comida fantastica y sabrosa incluir pollo y papas fritas pero sobre todo panecillos frambuesas. defanitivamente una experencìa muy emocianante còmo un montaña rusa y ahora mismo estoy descansado pero feliz. Gracias McDonald's de nuevo. Espero que volverè pronto y creo que serà muy pronto.

It’s a McDonald’s, there isn’t much more to say. Service was as quick as it could be. It was busy, we had to wait a little time. Nothing to complain about, nothing to say it that it was wonderful.

Wanted a drink and was nearly rudely spoken to that I had to leave despite the fact I was already there and staff behind the counter was not wearing masks, I would use of provided but told to go a pay to get a drink??? Very poor customer service very poor handling, and sarcastically a very great way to gain customers back 😡

There is social distancing in operation and there were only two self service machines and one till operator for service (which I fully support and understand). The screens were wiped by a member of the Roadchef staff after they were used each time. Please note,here were NO areas for sitting whatsoever, it is take away only. The wait was reasonable and the food was hot, freshly cooked and very very tasty. Although we had customised the food, it all came as we had specified. The staff member serving was polite and welcoming. A big thumbs up to this McDonald’s.

On the way back home from New forest we wanted a snack to eat for lunch so decided to stop at the services & McDonald's. Quick service with usual standard of food which was served hot which is a bonus it filled that hole which is what we were after.

Para empezar este semana bien quería tener un desayuno especial y por supuesto no podría pensar de nada mejor que Mcdonalds porque simplamente venden comida deliciosa y en un buen cuesta. Decidí tener panqueques con jarabe y por supuesto no desayuno es completo sin café. Otra vez me disfrutado un buena comiendo experiencia y ahora mismo estoy listo por el día. Por si no fuera bastante este restauante tienen vistas hermosas y a veces puedes ver conejos por las ventanas.

YandexAs a special celebration we came to this restaurant and selected some chicken nuggets with Como celebración especial, llegamos a este restaurante y seleccionamos algunos nuggets de pollo con salsas agridulces más salsas de curry. simplemente devine y delicioso y acompañando esto fueron algunas papas fritas abd una deliciosa ensalada verde. helado y pastel de manzana seguido de postre abd finalmente café con leche. Este es un restaurante muy sofisticado con maravillosas vistas y hay otras tiendas también. La forma perfecta de comenzar Navidad y no es caro.

On my way back from Twyford and decided to stop for lunch. Fries were boiling hot but the burger was lukewarm and obviously been standing around a bit. Coffee was ok though.

For a motorway services stopping for a coffee should be a nice break. However, not here. The fast food element had just gone, made even worse by the crappy new system which just slows everyone up.No longer can you order and pay for your drinks, and have them poured straight away and you can go, no even though ordering with a human, it still has to sit in a system. The place was empty the server could have poured our coffees, but no, number 7 wait with the others. Who it turns out are waiting for coffees. The 5 people on the food were going so slow they nearly went backwards and it took 3 of them to change a till roll. Just think how much quicker it would have been if do.eone actually went and made the drinks instead of one person pulling a ticket at a time whilst everyone stood still behind the counter and everyone stood still waiting the other side too.Slow slow slow - its bad enough that mcdonalds have not moved with the times to offer decaffeinated hot drinks or milk alternatives/lactose free, at least get the drinks out a bit quicker????

Despite there being more behind the counter than customers on the other side, service was very slow and only get an 'average' mark because the food was hot and tasty.

MacDonalds is MacDonalds, but it was the only place I could get breakfast without a drive of several miles. I had a Days Inn voucher to spend, which meant I couldn’t use the touch-screen ordering system, but they were very helpful, and it came through the system quite quickly.

Its a year since I last used this outlet, in fairness it has improved, its very busy and the wait for the order can be frustrating.

Restaurant was clean with plenty of clean tables ready to sit at, given most people clear own tables means better class of customer than one near me at hedge end.The food was ok, annoying no milkshakes but biggest disappointment was quality of food, the burgers had been hanging around for a while and subsequently served below what is called the temperature safe zone. Food GP is important but customer safety is much more important.

Visit here monthly and always have good service with no problems with the food. Car park often busy but good to have a couple of baby spaces available. Toilets always clean, also changing room clean & tidy.

Just wanted to thank the staff for going the extra mile after loosing my wallet on the way South last week. From initial telephone call to the Lady in the Hotel who went above and beyond to the Lady who courtesy to ring me at home to inform me my wallet, had been found and handed in. Your all a credit. And last but not least to the person who found my wallet in the car park, and hand it in. Your honesty is much appreciated.

I got what I ordered, after having sent it back no less than twice. Not that they had any problems hearing my order, the receipt was correct - the staff couldn't read and never even apologised

We were travelling down to the South Coast and thought we would try the South Bound McDonalds. We live close to the Tothill Services on the A34 and will not eat in there anymore due to uncleanliness. McDonalds food is as expected by the Manager seemed very nice and polite. The seating area is spacious and the food was actually more than luke warm.

I thought the manager who brought the food to the table was excellent. Was I really in a MacDonald’s. Only the Filetofish could have been hotter.

I visited here today (11th march 2019) while passing on the way to IOW, the touch screens were filthy, so i thought i would order at the till. the till touch screen was also filthy, and someone please tell Charlie to wash under his fingernails, they are absolutely disgusting.. Do you not have hand wash basins and nail brushes for your staff? will never visit here again!!

Never used one before. I’m not a technophobe. I prefer human interaction. It’s slow, counterintuitive. Food, well it’s McD crap. But needs must. Just off the boat from Spain and heading up to Liverpool. Wanted something hot. The burger buns are terrible.

The usual answer when you order a milkshake. Seems to have been like this for weeks on north and southbound services! More like too lazy to keep it running in winter.

This is not my favourite type of restaurant but if you have to please the granddaughter then there isn't much of an option. The fries are acceptable. The staff do smile!

Whether you are a coffee or tea lover McDonalds fits the bill. Never been disappointed. Stopping at any service station if you only want a cuppa you can’t go wrong at McDonalds.

Very busy when we got here 1st time i have tried a mcdonalds like this the service was pretty good considering the amount of customers my coffee was good my wife said hers was not warm enough and the price was more than we are used to i also had a sausage mcmuffin which tasted the same has any others i have had. all looked clean and tidy

This McD is in a small rest stop area, adjoining a costa and WHSmith.

We only ordered 2 burgers and 4 bottles of water as no coffee available and it took at least 25 minutes, won’t be stopping there again

We stopped here (right off of the A34) on our drive from Brighton to Bath. They have the self-order kiosks which speeds the process up and gets you back on the road.

Stopped here at just before midday, carpark was busy but managed to get a baby/child space. Large restaurant with plenty of room between tables to fit buggies, placed our order & was delivered quickly with everything correct. The tables were clean & we used 2 highchairs for twins that weren't covered in dried food for once. Children enjoyed getting a balloon when we left as well. Very impressed with our visit & will definitely stop here again when travelling on the A34!

After a 20 minute wait with no receipt from the auto ordering machine, our meals turned up.

A typical services and McDonald's, this particular one being updated fairly recently with self ordering points. Not having used the self ordering points before I had a bit of finger trouble at this one and ordered the wrong thing: should have double checked. What arrived was hot and tasty so not too disappointed. Overall a good place to stop for a quick meal, but check your order carefully.

Early morning visit so no queues and quick service. Good was ok. Clean surroundings and friendly staff.

Absolutely horrible place the staff are rude there is one staff that looks like he is incapable of doing anything by running around the place thinking he runs it no sign of management some of the staff are nice but i believe this one guy called connor is absolutely horrible! never going here again!!

Service was terrible, waited ages for the order, food cold, load of young lads running it, no sign of management they need to be lead, one lad in particular in breech of food hygiene standards - obviously needs training. Others had parts of their orders missing. Not good when it's supposed to be fast food.

...and much has changed in menu and technology! The server was knowledgeable helpful polite and patient. I ordered an unusual mixture but it was no problem. Produced promptly I was soon satisfied in the bright clean and pleasant surroundings.

Normally hate McDonalds but bladder and hunger forced a stop, parking ok for caravans not too far from the entrance, choice of Costa or McD's opted for the latter, touch screen order system and quick production of food, chicken legend was not too bad, coffee was nice. There is also a WH Smith supplying all those travelling essentials so had to buy a solar lamp as well, but did resist the garden gnomes. Free McDonalds wifi.

Had to wait nearly half an hour for a chicken legend to be cooked, whilst all numbers after me being served. No explanation why I was left waiting until I complained and was told chicken taking a while to be cooked. Yet I thought they had staff cooking these items to keep things ready. Apart from the low rating I have given the team are customer orientated just slow and lacking in initiative to inform me of the problem and apologise.

I have stopped here regularly over the last year on my way to Portsmouth. This is one of the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Staff are slow, don't care and clearly dont use the brains they were born with. There is always confusion over who has ordered what. Always a queue if there are more than 6 people. Its recently had a refurbishment but this just seems to have slowed things even more. Ordering a plain black coffee with only one other customer waiting can take 15 to 20 mins so leave plenty of time. You're better of grabbing something from the petrol kiosk.

Allocato in un'area di servizio, alle 20,30 non aveva praticamente quasi più nulla disponibile. I dolci e i gelati non più disponibili. Difficoltà nella gestione dell'ordine direttamente in cassa (attentamente controllato passo dopo passo) e non al tabellone in quanto possessore di voucher sconto dell'albergo. Una volta pronto erano sbagliate le insalate e mancante la bevanda. Non servono birra. Mai riscontrata tanta approssimazione e disorganizzazione in nessun'altra parte del mondo. Purtroppo devo confermare le altre recensioni negative.

Se detuvo a desayunar, la falta de personal se tradujo en servicio lento. Esperamos más de 5 minutos para ser servida, otros 15 minutos para la comida por venir. Cuando llegó estaba cálido finamente en el mejor! Esta rama necesita su juego! !

Popped in to get coffee and breakfast, on the way to South coast, and what used to be a perfectly functional counter with staff behind was now a self selection flatscreen. I placed the order and paid and a paper slip with a number on came out. Feels like Argos or the delicatessen at Tesco. That wasn't the problem - the problem was the staff randomly piling drinks and meals up as they were ready. No idea which of the growing pile was for which order. The queue grew as did the chaos. I suggested to the girl behind the counter that calling out the number of the order may be a good idea. Clearly not - McTedious customer experience

Food was typical macdonalds breakfast with no suprises. Service was slow and they were not very busy either

Had problems ordering from the new technology screens - went round in circles trying to get a Chicken Nuggets meal! Went to order from a real person and waited 10 minutes at the counter trying to get their attention. Food when it arrived was completely as expected but not very warm.

As the title says, it's a McDonalds! Cheap, fast, clean, wi fi. What more can you ask for? I will be back!

Ok I am a regular at mcd I go there once every few days I am impressed by the level it has reached in the last few years the coffee is good and breakfasts good value.I have gone to this service station twice in the early hours and the first time I had a rubbish meal the first time from out of date vegetable oil that made me feel physically sick I had to throw it away it was that bad.Anyway I decide to go there again for a cofee as I went to the till and was greeted by the manager. I asked for an explination and recieved nothing just no greeting nothing I was actually diiscusted as customer should be king. I then decided not to bother as the service was rude and non existant and from a shift manager there is just no hope for this mcdonalds. I most certanly would never go anywere near this mcdonals again which is a shame as the one down the road is a credit to mcdonalds and exceptional customer service.

It's just another McD in a trunk road services. It's clean, it's quick, it's very cheap, it's got wifi, it's reasonably comfortable.

Dining area is spotlessly clean and well laid out, however the service here certainly lets it down, when visited more staff required at the counter.

Restaurant dining area beautifully clean and tidy. Staff lovely, polite and very efficient. Food piping hot and well presented.

After a long drive I needed to grab a quick bite to eat. There was a fairly long que which I was happy to join. A memeber of staff who did not seem interested in the slightest for her job decided to jump the que and order herself some food. Staff seem to be more interested in chatting to themselves than looking into what customer service is. Poor show I am afraid!

Have to complement both South and North bound restaurants as I have been to both and as the title suggests very impressed. Have had breakfast South bound which was fresh hot and tasty. Had dinner North bound on Sunday 16.10.16. Restaurant is clean staff polite and friendly and the food cooked well. My wife said it all Oh My God your burger actually looks like the picture and it did ... well done

My wife is coeliac and needs to eat gluten free, she asked the girl what she could eat that was gluten free. Her answer was "nothing" and my wife asked if they did anything gluten free and the response was "water"!!My wife pointed out the McDonald's chips were usually gluten free and the cashier argued saying they weren't. She then under sufferance gave my wife the allergies list with chips showing "gluten free".My wife pointed this out and her rude response was to shrug her shoulders!!Management, you need to train your staff in customer care and allergy awareness.

Popped in for breakfast today and the service was ridiculously slow despite the restaurant being quiet. The girl that served us who was called Ellie looked extremely miserable. She got out order wrong for which no apology was made just an "oh" and off she trounced and didn't come back for another 8 minutes with the correct order with no communication in this time. Shockingly bad service and such an unhappy demeanour. Other staff too such a long time to acknowledge one man after waiting for 10 minutes to order breakfast, breakfast had finished and he walked out. Very disappointing indeed.

I am not a stranger to busy road & motorway service locations, Sedgemoor services is a regular, there are many others that I use but I think this I shall never forget for the wrong reasons. Costa Coffee or a Mc Donald's. As we are unwilling to use the latter so into Costa we went, a small bottle of water? £1.85! A very indifferent Panini , a cheese & tomato sorts of toasted sandwich, small coffee & tea. Just under £15.00 . The problem is that you have no choice. That's the A34, I would suggest that go upwards for about 20 minutes or so to Chievely .Oh I nearly forgot , you could fuel about 8 pence cheaper elsewhere

Too, too busy with not enough staff and no time to give proper attention to service.Manager acts like a police traffic controller, waving his arms at people to get in line, regardless of who has waited longer. Awful experience getting my husband a "meal" that I will not repeat again in the future, no matter how much I love him!

Just had a big tasty, it looked nothing like the picture and was just full of burger sauce the picture may have tasted better. Not good.

Busy complex for Costa and Macdonalds . free safe car parking outside just up slip road . Clean inside . I would have to say nothing special but also nothing wrong . Handy "motorway services" complex for a quick break - coffee and snack.

Used this restaurant while staying at the hotel. Nice staff, quick service and very clean too.Free wi fi is a must

Staff were totally zoned out. The product was vile. The Burgers were over cooked and who knows what was in it. Drive on!!!

Before I go any further this is about my experience in general with the whole location of the McDonalds in question.We always stop off here in both directions heading travelling between West Sussex and the Cotswolds, a journey we make quite often.Both sides of the road are carbon copies of each other and all facilities are impressively clean and spacious.Until we had dogs we used to pop in to eat, it was great ,staff are young and always friendly and quick . I don't really go for the burgers and stuff but love their Latte and get a happy meal with one as the included drink, and they didn't charge extra. It's the first time I had hot chips in a McDonalds. I was impressed to see them paying a lot of attention to and helping a mum with an older disabled child once and tidy and clean after them without any fuss and with lots of compassion.Now we pop in and grab a bite and eat in the car , then walk our dogs on the ample grassy areas which are worth a mention for pooch owners. They love the fresh air it is quite spacious to stretch your legs outside.There's also a WH Smith in there who sell a load of ' travel accessory' type stuff that is quite useful too.For anyone travelling with slightly older kids it's sometimes possible to park directly opposite the front door, where you can see the shop and the toilets. I could see directly in so I let my daughter go to the shop on her own with some pocket money, so if you feel comfortable with that it's fine.At the end of the day McDonalds is what it is and this is one of the brilliant ones , anyone who goes to one expecting a Michelin restaurant is always going to find something to moan about.Happy New Year and keep it up :-) !

Staff to busy gossiping to notice Customers. Kitchen staff lacking around not heeding orders. Right Miserable attitude of serving staff. Attitude issues as they have to do some work. Customers interrupting their social life. McDonald's should consider removing the franchise. This lot are certainly tarnishing their reputation.

I had avoided this place for a couple of years as it had never been great, but had gradually became quite dirty and outdated.However, it's looking *much* improved in 2015. Ultimately it's just a McDonalds, WH Smiths and Costa. However, it was clean, food was quick (and not too expensive), and the staff were helpful. Good to see the food hall area has been reopened rather than being derelict too.Back to being a useful stop-off again.
