We got married at Skylark in August and we had the most fantastic day. From the moment we booked the venue everything ran so smoothly. Chantelle was our wedding coordinator and was brilliant!! She regularly kept in touch with us and was super accommodating. The breakfast room was set up beautifully, we had a vision but Chantelle and the team exceeded our expectations. The food was gorgeous and all our friends and family commented on the canapes! We honestly could not have asked for more! Thank you to Chantelle and the team for making our special day just perfect. Disappointing and Overpriced I went to Bar & Block hoping for a good meal, but the experience was far from satisfying. I ordered an 8oz sirloin for £25, which was clearly not worth the price. The steak came with a very small portion of frozen fries and no other substantial side. If you wanted to add a sauce like peppercorn or chimichurri, it cost an extra £2 for a ridiculously small amount. On top of that, any additional vegetables were priced at a minimum of £4.5, which is simply outrageous. To make matters worse, desserts were priced between £4.5 and £8, and even a basic drink wasn’t cheap. Overall, a meal that should have been enjoyable and reasonably priced ended up feeling like a rip-off for what was offered. If you are planning to eat at Bar & Block you will need around a minimum of £50 per person I wouldn’t recommend it and won’t be returning. There are far better options at this price point.

Wasn't a great experience compared to other times I've visited this restaurant in Whiteley. From the moment we ordered our food till the moment our dinner arrived the customer service was a shambles. I'm not sure if this is down to inexperienced members of staff or through lack of training. We ordered our dinner, drinks and sides and asked for a receipt. Having got back to the table we was suprised that we was charged for 4 bottomless drinks and a a cooler but we ordered 1 bottomless drink, 2 waters and 1 cooler so we bought this up to a member of staff who said well you do have the bottomless glasses. After a little chat the member of staff did give us a refund for the issue but was quite rude about the situation. Our food then came out, one of the dishes was wrong which I wasn't too worried about as they got the correct dish sent to the table. The sides came out halfway through us eating our dinner which isn't acceptable. We also didn't have anyone check on us from when our food got sent to our table till when we had all finished. Disappointed as this is the first time I've ever had an issue here. I hope someone can see this in a position where they can make sure the staff have the relevant training required to deal with customers in a correct manner.

My partner and I got turned away by a young lady because we didn't have a booking when the restaurant was half empty with absolutely no explanation as to why. Even if it's the restaurants policy to not accept walk ins after a certain time, maybe train your staff in how to handle it better. We like wildwood. After this experience we won't be rushing back.

Since when does "extra hot" chocolate equate to "luke warm". Do I have to ask for "bubbling hot" or what? It all gets a bit tedious in the end so you just don't go as often. They hear but don't listen.

Thought this would be an excellent choice for lunch,but unfortunately this was not the case. From the moment we arrived the greeter tried to explain how things worked but we could not understand him nor did he want to repeat himself. He just kept scribbling on the paper on our table. Despite asking for large drinks they seemed to be small glasses. The food we ordered was well cooked, good quality and enjoyable.overall disappointing service and drinks and unlikely to comeback to this particular restaurant.

We enjoyed a fabulous meal for a friend / family birthday event. We had previously booked and from start to finish the standard of service was excellent, from the pre booking communication (we needed to pre order due to the number of people booking) to the actual meal nothing was too much trouble. The setting outside on the terrace was lovely, perfectly shaded on a hot day (or if we wanted we could have opted for sunshine on the Meadow). Blankets were provided if we needed them. The service was very efficient and a high level of knowledge when it came to drinks / wine etc. The food all came together which is often a worry when booking a large group booking, it was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. Staff were very attentive and accommodating with birthday cakes etc. Highly recommend and thanks to Daisy who was our waitress for the evening.

First visit out since starting my cancer treatment so very anxious. Welcomed by Ali who was lovely and told him I was Celiac which was no problem at all, he seated us and was straight back with the allergen iPad felt confident straight away. He needs a big shout out as he knew his stuff and continued to ask if our and my meal was ok, true credit to your company. Thank you to the manger Chris for again putting me at ease, my last experience in Nando Portsmouth years ago was not the same experience. Feeling happy served by two great staff I’ll sure to return to your resorting you again 🤍
