Costa Coffee in Winchester

SO DAMN UNHAPPY DOGS ARE NOW ALLOWED IN. CHANGE THIS RULE YOUR LETTING DOGS sit on the chairs where humans and children sit this should not be allowed because owners do NOT WIPE THE DOGS anus after they pass stools with tissue so reminants of dogs Pooh will be on the costa coffee chairs. Unhygienic. Plus the dog hairs that will now fly around in the atmosphere could land in peoples hot drinks. This is a DIGUSTING ALL ROUND CONCEPT AND NEEDS TO BE DISCONTINUED AS FAST AS IT WAS APPROVED!!!!!!!!! Out of order. I have children that also has asthma and cannot be around pets. This is a very unhygienic and STUPID ALLOWANCE! Get it CHANGED!!!

Well, that was the most rubbish iced coffee I've ever had. I expected a bit of ice-cream, a bit of presentation. It was literally an espresso, dumped into a glass of milk and ice. "Here you go. Now, on your way." The staff gave me the impression that Costa is the last place they wanted to be. Well, I now agree with them on that point, at least.

Just a typical local Costa. Nothing special just your standard Costa coffee house.

Always like seeking out a Costa restaurant when visiting a shopping centre today being Whiteley in Hampshire, not far from Fareham. You definitely need a car for visiting this shopping centre very poor bus service from Fareham , a welcoming visit on a a wet and miserable January day

Excellent experience, great coffee, and a bacon roll.

Usual coffee and biscuits bought for takeaway. No WiFi again in Tesco store to be able to register for my bean.

Its a great place for a coffe and cake, the service was well organised and fairly quick for the amount of customers.

Excellent service by Megan, after placing our order my daughter realised the drink contained gluten, which as she is coeliac she was unable to drink, Megan was really helpful and changed the drink with no fuss using a clean blender with no prompting. Well done Megan for your service and not making us feel a nuisance.

Today a friend and I had coffee. Made for us by Ben. He was very friendly and helpful. Carried our drinks to the table for us. We were there quite a while having a good catch up so of course had to have another tasty coffee. During our time there I noticed that Ben and his colleague who I believe was called Alex ( sorry if I have this wrong but I have a bad memory) were always busy keeping everything clean and well stocked inbetween customers. Very conscientious. We will see you again 😊☕

Classic Costa. Good for kids and open before the shops if you need to get the little monkeys out the door asap

Awful , I've been to 100's of Costa Coffee Shops and this was by far the WORST for customer service I have ever been to, pretentious staff that look down there nose at you, well NEVER visit this place again. My advice DON'T BOTHER.

Well it's a bit different from the Costa where we normally go, but as we were in Whiteley and needed a coffee thats where we went, it was well stocked with food very pleased with that 🙂

Good location, good offers if using App. Spaces available was a issue. Costa should try to find ways to increase its seating. Had the Rocky Road slice, was excellent. A pot of tea was far too small, need to be able to get more than a cup from it.

Very light and spacious, enjoyed an early morning coffee ☕️

It was very quite when I visited, with only a few other people in. Perhaps it was because it was 11.30, so it was before the lunch time rush. They had lots of food to choose from, and the staff were friendly.

Very busy so staff dont have time to clear tables that often (theres a rack for customers to put their trays in when theyre done, most are just bone idle or too thick!) nice drinks and snacks, bit pricey though

Service can let Costa down sometimes; drinks not filled, missing items, long waits. But more often then not your guaranteed delicious toasties and some of the nicest coffees around!

Shoddy coffee Batista skills are non existent. Re using old steamed milk and too busy talking, cold rubbish coffee/hot chocolate may as well chuck money away, mine went in the bin!

A nice pot of tea and a cappuccino served promptly and brought to the table.

What you expect from Costa. Only let down are the toilets are always a bit grim

Come in for a coffee with my daughter, i got the new Autumn Latte but looked nothing like it was advertised in costa and it was disgusting, when I asked about it to the staff that how it's made they said....... It was poorly made and sickly couldn't drink it.

My grandaughter and I went to Whiteley in Fareham on a shopping trip. I had a nice Iced Coffee and my grandaughter had a Smoothie. Plenty of seating inside and out.

Served quickly and efficiently.

Called in for takeout coffee. Quickly ordered. Place busy so had to wait. No issues

Whiteley costa, very disappointed, unable to use my Costa card, because apparently the system was down, and the barrista who made the coffee was more interested in talking to his colleagues than serving us. no eye contact, coffee just left on the side.

It's a Costa. I like that I can get a large coffee that is actually large. I'd rather support a good small business but quite happy here also. For coffee. The snacks they can stick up their bum (maybe they just aren't for me though)

It was a Saturday and quite busy, but it was extremely slow service and many of the orders were wrong. Customers were coming back to get their orders corrected, which slowed everything down. Coffee wasn't hot. Not the best Costa I've been to...

The shop was clean and tidy and the staff were polite and efficient. The coffee was what you'd expect from Costa. I was happy with my visit today.

Slow service for hot drinks as there was lots of people behind counter and some just having a chat and not doing what is required.

Costa coffee Locks Heath is great except that the music is too loud in the mornings. It's very noisy in there and with everyone wearing masks you can't hear what thd staff are saying and they can't hear you. Turn it down please.

Probably the worst coffee from a Costa ever , their standards have dropped recently but this latte just shows they don’t know how to texture milk and this was their second attempt as the first was taken back.

Costa Lotta, not a fan I'm afraid.

Good staff and coffee fine. Get a new architect, one that knows how to design for good acoustics. This place has a horrible echo and it's deafening. It harms staff and is bad for customers. The surfaces are all smooth and that's a grade one error of architectural design.

Little shabby about cleaning after people. Good service. Had a lovely coffee break good comfy seating.

Totally ignored by several staff members. No idea where to queue as there was nobody waiting. Immature staff needed training obviously! No masks being worn, ditto she customers entering later. Medium coffee was huge, but tasted OK. Not a pleasant experience, no napkins available when eating food. Willnot be going back

Large room and space outside. Only problem was toilets, dirty and no toilet rolls. New menu of iced drink is a good idea.

Just a quick pop in, staff wearing masks, table wipes down. All good.

Saturday 1pm, exceptionally busy and a 10+ minute wait after ordering for the drink to be served. That was work 3 baristas making the drinks. Other than that, a typical Costa

Visited Whitely costa to meet a friend. The staff were extremely helpful bringing drinks to the table.

It's just my opinion, but I fail to understand why large chain coffee shops are so popular, hence this is my first visit ever to the local Costa Coffee shop which is literally a 4 minute walk from my house. The reason for my visit was that I was given a Costa gift card. I visited on a fairly quiet Sunday afternoon, hence I only had to queue for about 3 minutes until I was served - quite often when I walk past, the queue is out of the door. Even at this time, the shop was bustling and there were very few tables free inside. But what hit me was the noise - it sounded more like a work canteen with the added noise of grinding and frothing, and I actually wondered how Health and Safety didn't result in staff being made to wear noise restricting headphones! When it was my turn to get served, the person who took my order was polite and helpful, and despite the noise got my order correct, but as soon as it was done it was straight onto the next customer and I was shuffled on... there was no time for niceties or personal service which was a shame as I wanted to check the balance on my gift card. At the end of the till line there was a small group who were also awaiting their orders - no queue or structure, it was just find a space and wait, which I did so for about 5 minutes before a server put a single takeaway cup at the front and called out something which was inaudible due to the background noise. I guessed it was mine as I had probably been there the longest, so I approached to verify, but the server had gone off to do something else by then so I had to get her attention to check that it was indeed my Golden Caramel Latte. So I left after about 10 minutes from entering the shop with a paper cup that was too hot to hold properly (I'm sure that they used to have cardboard sleeves) and returned to my car. I had to wait a further 10 minutes with the lid off before the coffee was at a temperature safe enough to drink. Yes, it did taste good, but I could only taste the caramel syrup and sweetness rather than the coffee. I must admit to being lucky enough to have a decent coffee machine at home which makes far better tasting coffee. So overall 2 out of 5... This is nothing against the staff... In fact I both admire and feel sorry for them working in such an environment, but rather the atmosphere and production line feel of the outlet and the overall value of the coffee. I just can't understand why people would pay to sit there and meet friends... However I know that these will continue to be successful for some time to come...

Costa Coffee Whiteley, what an absolute shambles! Staff not knowing their left arm from their right arm! Stopped in for coffee & cake, couldn't do that because eating in wasn't happening! I wanted a frostino, but I couldn't use my Costa travel mug as that was for hot drinks only! I questioned 2 team members about the no eating in, as it was quite clear that there were customers dining in. One didn't know why we were told that. Another said that we could eat in, but there was no table service despite having just taken a tray of food to customers. I've never known such chaotic service in my life....
