Costa Coffee in Winchester

Costa staff extremely welcoming and friendly at the Weeke branch in Winchester. Only visiting the area and were very kind.

Nice and very friendly staff especially the new store manager Cherie. Her upselling is really impressive! Saw how she delegate her staff and get the queue down quite quick. Notice the big improvement of the place too even there toilets, clean and smell good now compare from previous months. Only downside the air con seems not working.

Being a regular customer at Costa Weeke, I would like to say that, one employee in particular is fantastic at her job. Her name is Maria. I go in at different times of the day and, sadly, on many occasions she has only been one member of staff working. She knows my order and it’s perfect every time! Dealing with customers can be tricky but dealing with impatient rude ones is draining. I have heard them tutting and complaining, without thought for the one serving. You try standing, smiling and serving people for hours on end. Whilst ensuring their specific request is made. Consider the one serving You.

Went in started off with hearing one lady employee talking bad about another to a customer. The lady while taking my order, rolled her eyes after i ordered a specific drink and created a really uncomfortable atmosphere. We were made to feel like inconveniences for going in to the costa. This was today at around 5.30pm and makes me not want to go back.

it's, pretty good but i think it's understaffed majorly.

So hit and miss. Sometimes great, other times terrible. Depends on who's working. Today everyone in a bad mood, huffing, puffing, moaning. It's been really inconsistent for about 2 years and wonder how they get away with it tbh.

The coffee tastes very bland all the time, other branches makes very good coffee compared to this one. Please change your baristas as they are not very well trained. They also doesn’t know how to add points in the costa membership card. Horrible experience every time …

Went in to have lunch, was great .

Bit of a strange one. A few weeks ago, I left this Costa after standing in the queue for a period, watching staff not serving anyone. My wife was sitting outside and, when we walked away, she left her jacket on the chair. It seems not to have been picked up when Costa staff cleared up, and lay overnight. The following morning, we realised it was missing and went back to hear that Costa staff and the caretaker had between them decided to put it by the recycling bin, from where it was taken shortly before we arrived. Has anyone had anything similar happen - staff not serving or missing lost property?

The service started off alright but the staff didn’t warn us that they didn’t have the sprinkles for the Maple hot chocolate so we ended up having a plain hot chocolate basically .. The blueberry muffin that we ordered had what looked like a bite on it and when I asked about it they just said that’s how it is and didn’t change it. They started by putting the hot drinks in take out cups when we asked for a sit in and didn’t put the whipped cream on, so we had to ask for it to be put on- like the drink is advertised. Upsetting service, used to be a decent costa in the past.

This store the team is unprofisional two times i no receivet the order just partial i spoke with manager on the phone she don't care about nathing i will teck this company to County Court.

What on earth is going on in this costa!!!! 2 people serving who clearly need to be trained on customer service. Dirty tables. Very very poor selection of savoury products. Cake displays not inviting Wow wow just wow

Just wanted to write a review as the young girl who served me (Izzy) was absolutely amazing and deserves to be recognised. The other member of staff (Maria) was very rude to both customers and other members of staff.

So much better recently. Lovely staff now especially Noreen

Asked and paid for item. Delivered alternative with no explanation by shop or by delivery person. Cannot eat the substitution. What a waste!

Great food and drinks. Lovely style and seating is excellent. And there outdoor area is brilliant for hot days or if your have dogs. Great toilet facilities and parking. Great staff and lovely people all around. 5/5

Poor service and rubbish coffee. They didn't even ask if we want to sit down or take away just gave the coffee in a take away cup. Paid for the syrup but he didn't put in. He said he did but a caramel iced latte hasn't got bitter taste. It was just a money waste, landed at the bin.

Went to get a too good to go bag but it was cancelled while in queue.second time this has happened

Unfriendly staff (or at least the person who served us was); no manners, restaurant was messy and dirty; five uncleared tables and food on floor. Toasted sandwich was disappointing. Really unpleasant experience.

Sadly my coffee was served luke warm, and the tables were dirty and not cleared Staff were too busy talking amongst themselves to provide good service. They need a supervisor. An elderly lady with a walking stick had difficulty carrying the tray with her Cappuccino and dropped the whole lot on the floor splashing the poor man at the next table!,as with a walking stick and 2 hands on the tray,kinda difficult! Why didn't the staff offer to carry the old lady's tray,as they were not busy. .. disappointed

Stood in a queue for over half an hour, washing up trays satcked on a table, staff seemed un-trained and dispondant. Hot choc did tast nice though.

Toastie was good but lukewarm when i received it, brownie was good, but i am highly unimpressed by the fly i found in my drink

First they contacted me because they didn’t have an item I ordered and replaced wjth something else, then therewas something.

Horrible attitude and poor quality drinks, dirty tables, rubbish everywhere, no toilet paper, this place went down hill alot recently, i do not recommend.

Up to today this was my favourite local coffee shop, but something has changed. There seemed to be 5 members of staff serving, but chatting amongst themselves and huge queue, seemed to be getting orders wrong all the time. I ordered a skinny latte, and received a one shot latte. When I questioned why didn’t taste very strong, I was told that the receipt from the said a one shot latte, no apology and a shot added but didn’t taste usual Costa quality cup of coffee. I am sorry to post this as you to now always lovely staff and great coffee.

Pretty good order. However I ordered the new tropical bubble drink and there was no bubbles in the drink. On the other hand there was a collapsible reusable cup in the order that I didn’t pay for

Late, stone cold and several items either wrong or missing. What a waste of money.

This place is filthy ! The staff are not knowledgeable of what they sell the tables and surround floor chair everything is filthy. I’m not sure if it can pass a good hygiene standards. Very bad!

Delivery took around an hour longer than expected, food was cold when I got it, I requested contact free delivery which I did not get even when shouting through the door ‘please leave it outside’. Overall 0/10 for service and food quality. This is not all down to Costa Just Eat are just as much to blame and I will not be using this app again. This is two orders in a row Just Eat has screwed up.

Just went in for a coffee and service was fair they were busy and takeaway was also busy. The now have some Christmas drinks as well as some iced drinks when I go back next time . Download the app and after 8 drinks you get one free.Also on your birthday you get a free cake.

You know what you're getting with Costa and it's consistent at this branch. Staff seem to stay for a while which is a good sign. My only issue is that the queue is often quite slow, regardless of time of day. This may be because it's a smaller branch so smaller team. I'm always happy to wait though.

Get here early in the morning if you want to have a toasted sandwich, get there late and coffee and seeds is all you get.

Vikki and Amanda are absolutely amazing, the coffee is perfect every time without fail (2 years I've gone here) always met with a smile and left with one myself.

Great service and indoor cafe. Downsides are all the outdoor area is for smokers and it's too small an area to escape the smoke, and the public WiFi doesn't work in a low signal area.

Normally I am very happy with the service here but today was different, I was the only person in the queue, there were 4 members of staff and I was ignored for 5 minutes, when I did get my order, neither drink was particularly hot,,, come on Costa you can do better

Same as any other Costa but dose seem to take a long time to get served here and could do with a bit of a clean! Update: Now been many times and this is still true. Asked for a table to be wiped down today as it was dirty and the guy acted as though I'd asked for a kidney.

Very slow service , only one server behind the counter, hot chocolate was luke warm and flavourless. The worst hot chocolate ive ever had , normally i love the costa hot chocolate so i was very disapointed.

The wife walked into store today to get drink and after the person in front had been served she waited a further 20 mins before she walked out without any drink ! Seems the store are are more interested in serving Uber and other online orders, than serving people coming into store. Costa remember you will need customers to comeback in to store again as covid is not forever!!

Ordered through Uber eats to get half the order wrong, some of the drinks stone cold while other were still hot and they forgot to put the syrup in the hot chocolate. No response when ringing up to ask about it either

Visited here Saturday 12th October 11.30 what a dirty shop!!! Food litter all over the floor area tables left with used cups plates had to ask for table to be cleared was told the waitress would be over shortly why are tables and seats not cleared and sanitised after each sitting? only 2 people working barister serving and taking payment clearly not a safe place to go when precautions are not being put into place ..

Nice enough place. Always seems dirty when busy. Only tables free are chocka block with leftover trays. Can only assume locals are used to their own staff at home clearing up their mess. Feel for the staff who are always happy and cheery.

Turned bad after being made into a trainee costa

First time here, we wanted some refreshments and this was near by. Parking can be a bit of a bun fight as this is on a street, unless there is a car park near that I didn’t see. Plenty of the usual fare, we chose a coffee and a pastry called a chocolate twist...delicious! Comfortable chairs at a table near the window, clean & comfortable. There were plenty of people enjoying the time but it didn’t seem packed or hectic. Will go there again when in the area.

Nice coffee can't beat a costa. When I come into this shop with my baby the staff are not helpful at helping me with my drink. Sometimes the coffee isn't that warm.

Fairly typical Costa set up - great opening times and local to me. Staff are always lovely and the place is usually spotless.

I enjoy the friendly atmosphere, the staff are always polite, and it's near to where I live.

Favourite coffee chain but they do need to clean cutlery and crockery better. Loos always in a bit of a mess. Need more frequent cleaning.

Too noisy and full of children and shrieking braying women

Like most Costa Coffee outlets, it produces a wonderful cup of coffee but it is a little bit the same as all the other Costa Coffee shops. Good for the before/ after Waitrose shopping trip and the staff are friendly enough. If you find yourself here mid morning and there is at one of the tables a group of loud elderly ladies, one of them will be my mother in law! She spends a lot of time here and loves it and is a major contributor to their profits.

Its ok, but not nearly as nice as other Costas or other coffee shops. They need to make the chairs nicer and do better job with decor really. At the moment it doesn't feel like high prices justify the atmosphere. Coffee very nice though, and good to do homework in.
