The best little cafe in the area. The food is freshly cooked. The staff so friendly. Helped me get through many a cold morning recently!

Our new local and regular Indian restaurant. We love the biryani, dhal and naan breads. Good value and excellent service.

This is my second visit and it really does not disappoint! Wonderful atmosphere. Service is first class and the food is delicious and portions generous…. I really am looking forward to going again.

Friendly little cafe hidden from the main area. We had tried to get into another of the town’s cafes but it was busy. Luckily we came across the Anvil on our way back to the car. The building itself is beautiful and very quaint. We ordered a Ploughman’s and a French onion soup. The soup was nicely hot and came with the requested gluten free bread as advertised. I have yet to find gf bread nicer than this and thoroughly enjoyed it with lashings of butter. The ploughman’s was plentiful with fresh salad garnish and lots of cheddar, stilton and gammon ham. The service was great and the food being brought out looked fresh and a good portion size. One to try if you’re in the area. There’s a nice little outdoor seating area for warmer days. We look forward to coming again.

Popped in for a quick lunch with little grandchildren today. One item was a little slow in arriving ( not a problem for us at all) however staff went above and beyond to apologise and to amend. Much appreciated good service rarely seen ( especially in Winchester where we live). Food was very good too! We will certainly return

Después de escuchar todo el bombo sobre este lugar mi pareja y yo decidimos probarlo Primera impresión donde muy bueno nos dijeron que no había mesas para 45 minutos porque estaba ocupado. El sistema que usan para llamarte para tu mesa es brillante Fuimos atendidos por una joven que estaba muy mareado. Cuando me olvidé de pedir un café, me pareció un trato enorme cuando le pregunté cuando volvió con son otras bebidas Tomó un tiempo para que la comida saliera era comprensible debido a lo ocupados que estaban Cuando llegó la comida, había pedido los huevos de gallina benédicos. Esto estaba extremadamente seco incluso con la salsa holandesa (la bruja no tenía exactamente ningún sabor) Mi compañero pidió las tortitas que fueron muy decepcionantes, no tenían sabor a ellos y también muy seco. También probaron aceite viejo Es una lástima que tengamos un mal vencimiento con la tienda de Ford Chandler ya que habíamos apurado cosas tan buenas También intenté buscar en su sitio web un correo electrónico a sus relaciones con el cliente pero no pude encontrar uno

Went in for lunch with a friend who has very special dietary needs. All staff went above and beyond to ensure my friend was catered for and looked after making it a very pleasant experience. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very disappointed with my delivery tonight . Curry full of grease and portion sizes have definitely been downsized!!!! Are last curry from here was amazing but very very disappointing tonight don’t think we will be using them again !!!!

Takeaway was very disappointing tonight. Curry greasy nanna not garlic popadoms burnt and tikka main Meal well chicken the whole 8 pieces where as small as a five pence piece Not all all Impressed with the price I was charged !!!! Very very disappointed!!!!! Was a delivery

We tried to find this place and think it is closed now. Lots of building work going on in what we thought have been it’s location.

Service was over 5* very attentive staff. Roast was lovely. Great pub lots of beer choice.

Popped in after an uninspiring visit to the Crown next door. Ale was great, friendly welcome and lovely beer garden. Will definitely return.
