The best little cafe in the area. The food is freshly cooked. The staff so friendly. Helped me get through many a cold morning recently!

We THOROUGHLY enjoyed carbonaras last night at Georgios. The vibe, service and food is absolutely 10/10 in there, couldn’t recommend anywhere better for a meal out!!!

Probably the best Indian meal we have ever had. Very extensive menu and very large portions. Peshwari naan amazing. When it's busy it gets incredibly hot in the restaurant, maybe a bit more ventilation would be great.

Después de escuchar todo el bombo sobre este lugar mi pareja y yo decidimos probarlo Primera impresión donde muy bueno nos dijeron que no había mesas para 45 minutos porque estaba ocupado. El sistema que usan para llamarte para tu mesa es brillante Fuimos atendidos por una joven que estaba muy mareado. Cuando me olvidé de pedir un café, me pareció un trato enorme cuando le pregunté cuando volvió con son otras bebidas Tomó un tiempo para que la comida saliera era comprensible debido a lo ocupados que estaban Cuando llegó la comida, había pedido los huevos de gallina benédicos. Esto estaba extremadamente seco incluso con la salsa holandesa (la bruja no tenía exactamente ningún sabor) Mi compañero pidió las tortitas que fueron muy decepcionantes, no tenían sabor a ellos y también muy seco. Friendly little cafe hidden from the main area. We had tried to get into another of the town’s cafes but it was busy. Luckily we came across the Anvil on our way back to the car. The building itself is beautiful and very quaint. We ordered a Ploughman’s and a French onion soup. The soup was nicely hot and came with the requested gluten free bread as advertised. I have yet to find gf bread nicer than this and thoroughly enjoyed it with lashings of butter. The ploughman’s was plentiful with fresh salad garnish and lots of cheddar, stilton and gammon ham. The service was great and the food being brought out looked fresh and a good portion size. One to try if you’re in the area. There’s a nice little outdoor seating area for warmer days. We look forward to coming again.

Took friend here for pre birthday lunch at 2 pm. Ordered drinks and panini. Drinks came and a little later waiter returned to tell us there were no panini so we said we’d have sandwiches. Waiter returned to tell us there were no sandwiches. We were then offered ‘a full refund’. I discovered on checking my bank account that we’d been charged for our two cold drinks which we’d only had a few sips from while we waited for our nonexistent food. So much for a full refund. So let down!

Nice traditional cafe. Friendly staff. V reasonable. Obviously used by locals which is always a good guide. Husband had a full English breakfast and I had a bacon bap.

This restaurant has been serving the best curry and cuisine in the area, we had a birthday party for 15 people, and the staff was attentive, helpful and we all chose different food from the menu and it all came out together so other than waiting for it to be freshly cooked, there was no delay. The food was exceptional and the best touch was that the party girl received a bouquet and a bottle of fizz. THis is a one off in the area and the birthday parties will be repeated. Its highly recommended

Always made welcome, coffee perfect, staff friendly. Entry door a bit awkward to use but otherwise a good place to go

We tried to find this place and think it is closed now. Lots of building work going on in what we thought have been it’s location.

Since moving to Bishops Waltham I have found some lovely local shops and enjoy a wander around the HIgh Street, This Sweet Shop sadly in the exception !! I have taken my GrandChildren in there several times as the concept is great - a mixture of traditional old fashioned sweets in jars / chocolates and pick and mix = Plus ice cream . Sadly the experience is completely ruined by very unfriendly / unhelpful staff who are appear to be irritated by children ...... After our last visit I have decided that I am no longer prepared to put up with rudeness in order to buy sweets for the kids !
