We had a truly special dining experience at The Wellhouse last night. A fantastic setting & ambience. Olivia made us feel truly welcome and served us with a smile and great personality. Toby was also smiley and did a great job. The food was exceptional with every mouthful needing to be savoured. We met Tom & Megan (chefs) after the meal and it made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. It was fantastic to be able to chat with them and ask questions about the meal and prep techniques they use.. Thank you all for a great evening. We will be back.

Two of us go for full English every Friday. The food, service and, particularly the lovely staff, are absolutely amazing. We really enjoy our visit.

How can you mess up a Ploughman’s Lunch? Come to the D&C and see. Microwaved half baguette that went dry, crisp and stale immediately. Cheese was appalling. The worst type of cheap, tasteless, doughy cheddar. Pork pie that was missing the pork. We will not be returning.

Absolutely super pub (we visited on the 22nd/23rd March after the new ownership); myself and my partner were staying at the hotel up the road and visited on a Saturday evening for dinner - the service was great and the food was absolutely amazing! We enjoyed it so much we went back on the Sunday afternoon for a roast dinner and spent nearly 4h there - they are super dog friendly and the pub was very clean! Would 100% recommend!
