Great food, great service and great value

My daughter took me here for my birthday. It was really lovely. Very welcoming, we were acknowledged by every member of staff, as we walked past. A very comfortable restaurant, relaxing, not rushed. Food and service brilliant. We will definitely go back.

Lovely riverside restaurant well worth visiting

Me and my now husband booked The Four Alls for the 21st October 2024 as a place to have a meal after our registry wedding. Thoughout the booking process they were incrdibly helpful and adaptable as we had a dog that we would be bringing with us as part of our booking. They offered us a private room even though we were only a party of 7 people and we really appreciated all the care they took to make us feel comfortable. All the staff that we engaged with were so nice, friendly and very sweet about our wedding that had just take place. However, we have to give a special mention to Reece and James who were our servers for the evening. They were so incedibly amazing and really went above and beyond making it look like it was no bother to them at all! Everyone that was a part of our party said how lovely they were and they were always on hand to help us with anything we needed. In this day and age its so nice to see pepole in service that love to chat with people and really help them to enjoy their experience within an establishment. They were absolutley fantastic and so funny and caring to our dog as well. We must say the food was also incredible! as a group of 7 we ordered many different things off the menu to eat privatly and to share and everything (I truly mean everything) was fantastic! I would really reccomend this establishment! We'll be going back every year for our anniversary but I also hope we'll be back every so often to say hello to the wonderful staff and enjoy the delicious food! If you have not been you should make your booking ASAP!

Huge disappointment unfortunately… Kids starters took 1 hour and 15mins to arrive (these had to be chased) After another 20 mins we asked how long for the mains, we were then told they would be a minimum of 30 mins! By this point we had 3 very hungry children and decided to leave. Such a shame. Management staff nowhere to be seen!

Great service and great food (I recommend the beef steak). The atmosphere is also nice, with dimmed lights in the evening. During summer you can dine outside on the river bank.

Lovely setting on the river. Attractive building. Staff friendly and efficient. I think the chef is Italian so highly recommend pizza and pasta dishes. A real treat.

Love this place what a location, and a large field where you can park motorhomes, great food and brilliant selection of beers.

Very busy Sunday lunch, we never felt rushed. PTeam friendly & organised. Table ready on time, cold water put on table, drinks order taken once seated, meals arrived quickly, food was very good hot and delicious. Toilets were spotless, open kitchen so could see all. Ambience was relaxed. Highly recommend

Just had the most brilliant evening! Everything has really upped its game since I first started coming here. The food was top-notch — I absolutely loved the Casa Lingo Pizza and the 8oz Rump Steak. Both were spot on in terms of taste and presentation, plus the portion sizes were generous without breaking the bank. The service was fantastic too. The team greeted us warmly and knew the menu inside out, making it easy to choose. The atmosphere felt lively but relaxed, making it a great place to unwind. Cleanliness was on point, and I couldn't fault the speed of service. Can't wait to come back! Thanks for a lovely experience!

We went out here for my birthday meal the other day and had a wonderful experience. The wood-fired pizzas are so tasty and there's lots of choice. My husband had the sundae for dessert and it was lovely. There's lots of drinks choices, including an alcohol-free section. We sat inside with a river view, which was very picturesque and generally the inside and out of the place was very well designed The staff were fantastic. Our main server was a very pleasant and attentive young man, who was knowledgeable about the options available. We only tip when we've had good service so we did that day. Highly recommended 👌

We had a lovely brunch. Eggs Benedict excellent. Service wonderful. Will definitely return.

Would be lovely if they improved service! never improves and always sooooo slow! food is ok and the location and general appearance is lovely but the slow service just lets its down, have been many times over the years but it just never always disappointed when i get told this is location for a meet up now! you know it will be a long night! food is ok, could be better for price but no point improving food if never trying to improve on the service! needs new front of house manager to turn it around on speed of service front could be an outstanding place and a lot busier. if it was anywhere else it would have closed a long time ago! location keeps it going. never seen such slow front of house and food service! improve please?!! 🙏🏼

Our family enjoyed a fabulous Sunday lunch at the Four Alls last week to celebrate our father's birthday (not that he wanted anyone to mention it!). We were given a great table with plenty of room for us all, a party of 13. The food was beautifully cooked, and all requests were accommodated (some wanted no pink beef, others like it rare). The best thing was the service, which was very attentive, nothing forgotten, and the kids were treated like little adults, which they love. I didn't catch his name, but we really appreciated the service from our waiter. Even the weather decided to play ball, and we enjoyed a final drink out on the patio where the kids could watch ducks and boats on the river, while the adults planned Christmas!

Really pleasant pub, bar staff super friendly and homemade pizza was delicious.....a little expensive but worth it, beautiful beer garden overlooking the river.

Disappointing Sunday lunch. We both had the beef. Overpriced for the food we got. First time we went was very good but we have been twice since and very disappointing. We won't be going again.

Popped in for half a pepsi and half a lemon and lime £7.40. I won't be popping in again.

Visited here today for breakfast. What a disappointment! The service was incredibly slow and disorganised. We initially waited 10 mins to be seated, and a further 20-25 mins before someone came to take our order for drinks-only (we had to prompt someone to come over). These took another 15-20 mins to arrive, and only after this time were we able to even order the actual breakfast. We asked how long it would take but the waiter didn’t know. This took a further 30 mins. When it arrived we asked to order some more drinks (1 coffee, and 2 x juices). These arrived well after all 5 of us had finished eating. Also, we had to prompt them for basics such as sauces, plus had to go to the bar to ask for spoons to mix the pot of tea/milk, get sugar etc. All basics when serving breakfast. If the restaurant was busy, we could understand it more, but it seemed really quiet. The breakfast itself was pretty average, though quite expensive (£87 for 3 adults and 2 children). That we wouldn’t object to had the service been acceptable. Such a shame as it’s a nice location and the breakfast menu looked appealing.

We just called in a drink . My partner hasn't been there for years ! Next time we visit we will stop for food . Nice greeting on arrival . Clean bar ,tables and toilets (always think that is important) and the food looked delicious !!

We ate dinner here last night and it was not good. Starters arrived like warm and before drinks. Main meal took 90 minutes to arrive and 4 out of 5 meals were poor. Sunday lunch, roast potatoes completely dry with a hard outer, they had sat in a warming tray for hours, carrot was mushy and soft and all Luke warm. I may have just been a bad day as we have eaten here before and it was good. Had it not been so late and the family very hungry, I would have sent every meal back due to quality with the exception of the pizza.

Fantastic place to relax and enjoy gorgeous food in beautiful surroundings. We tried the sardines from the specials menu and they did not disappoint. They were amazing! The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Amber and her team ticked all the boxes and this is why we regularly travel to visit our favourite restaurant.

It was very busy and understably service was a little slow. Roast beef a bit overcooked & sliced so thin a bit like a rasher ..but you can't beat sitting outside by the river.

So disappointed with the roast today. At £22 for roast beef, it came with one roast carrot, two very uncooked roast potatoes, a tiny portion of cabbage, one frozen Yorkshire and two pretty sad looking slices of beef. Admittedly setting is glorious. But for the price for a large party it should and could have been better.

Lovely location and good selection of food. Service was excellent until we came to pay. We were charged for another table at £50 more than our bill. It was a genuine mistake by the waitress but when I tired to sort it out the manager was rude and did not apologise once for the time it took to sort or the mistake. Such a shame as his attitude ruined my experience

Fantastic location, good service, and delicious food. What a lovely location for an early dinner. Outdoor seating is perfect in the summer months and recommend a spritz or two!

Staying in Ovington for a week we called in for a quick drink and see what the pub was like before booking a table. I can honestly say we ha such a warm welcome from Dave and the regulars too. Two decent cask ales brewed not far away. The place itself it small but cosy and clean. We had a meal a few nights later and thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu was small but still hard to choose as we liked everything on it. The service was efficient and we were checked on that the food was alright. It is a small establishment so booking is advisable. We prefer not to dine with dogs around us and Dave explained he does try to keep the dog diners separate which he did the evening we were there. Not everyone likes dogs in restaurants and pubs. We had a lovely holiday in the area so fully intend to return and will be calling at The Four Alls again.

We hired the private function room for my daughter's 40th birthday and it was perfect. They delivered on all of their promises apart from the weather but that didn't dampen our event. It was everything I wanted and more. The venue, location, staff and food were all excellent. Wonderful! I had liased with Josh and Amber at the venue and Rory in HO and they all did a great job. Well done.

Birthday meal for 2 , really excellent food ,Pasta and burger, excellent service , we sat outside and there were just some signs of wear and tear that meant had to give 4 stars rather than 5 . we had not informed them was a birthday but the waitress overheard my grandson calling to wish me happy birthday while we were there. The manager came out to say happy birthday and gave me my dessert for free, what a thoughtful gesture and we will visit again soon as the food was so good !

The staff are friendly. We waited over an hour for our food which is unusual for here. I hate to say it wasn't great when it eventually came. It's a lovely setting but the loos were a mess. It was delt with really fairly our mains were taken off the bill.

Service was poor waited hour and a half for our meals and had to keep getting our drinks from the bar as no one came to the table Food over priced £13.50 for a glass of wine is ridiculous £13.50 for a starter which was about 6 prawns in a dish Hand full of chips with the main meal Very disappointed Nice location but won’t be returning

AVOID! Avoid as a customer and avoid if you're looking for a job, service is awful. Staff are a really poor representation to the owners. Shockingly one of the staff decided to tell us that he's "been trying to get sacked, but they won't sack me" It's a shame because I would have recommended the four alls but I won't now. The menu sounds up to date and appetising but executed badly

We visited here for a family dinner during a short holiday. Picturesque views of the river, there is seating outside and inside. The Service was good, friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed many dishes with a Mediterranean style. I ordered the King prawns for starters and Sea Bass for main, seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Worth the visit.

Love this pub by the river. Have been using it for 47 tears and seen many changes, not all good but it is a lovely place to eat, drink and socialise now. With excellent staff.

Called and spoke to a lad names James at around 8:25 on my way home from Stratford to order a take away pizza, I was told they stopped at 8:30 so instead of telling me no sorry it's too late, he said he would have a word with the chef and ring it through to get the order in for me before they stopped serving food, he took my order and about 10 minutes later I arrived, had a drink whilst waiting and chatted to him, lovely guy really polite and friendly, the pizza was absolutely bang on the Money, such a friendly atmosphere and extremely welcoming staff, honestly I couldn't of asked for more, i can't recommend this place enough!! Thank you to the everyone there!

We popped in for a drink on a hot Saturday afternoon whilst on a hike. The staff were really friendly and made getting a drink quick and easy.

Lovely food in a beautiful setting. The staff were excellent both at the bar and in the restaurant. We stayed longer than planned and sat outside for another drink.

We drove over half an hour for some dinner and called the restaurant three times without getting an answer so pre booked using their online booking system, just to be told the kitchen closes early on Sunday and the head chef had gone home so was forced to go somewhere else, despite having a table reserved and the website saying they were open. Absolutely disgraceful, I unfortunately will not be returning and recommend others don’t either.

This little pub in Covinton was a little gem Dave is an amazing host and the food we had there twice was fabulous. Recommend it If you stay in Hall cottages

We always have a great time here. They get quite busy, and a couple of times there have been minor issues, but the staff are lovely, friendly, and put everything right, giving us a great experience. Wonderful food and views outside, highly recommend.

Beautiful setting for a drink and food by the river. Unfortunately, it was marred by a few issues. Firstly, the inadequate handicapped parking spaces, which were no wider than a standard space. This presents issues for people with mobility issues. Secondly, despite the relatively extensive menu, I was told that I could only eat certain items outside. Bizarre, I know. Shame, as we were a large party, willing to spend. Doubtful I will return.

We booked in here one Saturday night and were not disappointed , food outstanding and customer service 10/10. Highly recommend. Dogs also welcome which was a bonus as i don’t like to go anywhere without him.

The loveliest evening at The Four Alls. Food was delicious and James and the team made us feel so welcome on the first night of our honeymoon, and went above and beyond. The team gave us great recommendations for the local area whilst we’re staying here too! Would recommend.

A beautiful place right next to the river, we can't wait to come back in the summer. Even though it was so busy, it really didn't feel like the. The staff were fantastic and attentive without being in your face and the food was amazing, even catering for my just peas with my roast without hesitation. Huge portions, that was the biggest half a chicken I've seen in a long time, definitely no room for desserts. It was clean, tidy and well presented, the mothers day card on the table and a free mimosa a nice touch

We enjoyed lunch at The Four Alls today and despite being really busy the service was brilliant and very speedy. The staff were all amazing, so attentive and friendly. We enjoyed a fabulous view over the river and had lots of space between the tables. Would definitely come back again.

Visited today for my partner's birthday. We started with halloumi chips as a sharer and they were very nice. I opted for the fish and chips and had absolutely no regrets! It was fantastic! My partner had the cheese/bacon burger and loved that. My daughter had the spaghetti bolognese and ditto! The staff are very friendly. Will gladly be back in the future! Oh, and it's also dog-friendly!

We were visiting the lovely village of Ovington for a week, and visited our new "local" for dinner. We had a brilliant welcome from a fab barman (Dave).. Dinner was cooked by the leading lady, and what a dinner.. Not only brilliant and great portions, but at an excellent price. Dave even made Irish coffee's to finish the meal... It was so good we had to visit again for a final drink before we head home.
