Waltham Tandoori in Winchester

One of the best Currys IV ever had really nice I go back again and my friend and family loved it two thanks for a lovely meal 😀

Excellent food and service. Our waiter helped us choose our curries and they were excellent. Food was served very promptly and was delicious. Will definitely be back, thank you.

Indian food is a rare treat as it’s quite expensive now but it was a great birthday treat. Delivered free too. Delicious Balti dishes and a Waltham Suprise which sounds scary but was a lovely mixture of meats. Only complaint is that the restaurant advertised free rice and when I ordered they said the offer was for collection only which they didn’t say in the ad.

Excellent service. I had the Waltham Surprise, that was on a hot skillet and had a highly enjoyable dry spiciness. My wife had a Zeera chicken. She needed a dish that was without garlic or onion and the chef responded really well. Ordered starter and meal at the same time, so that the meal arrived in good time. Well done.

We started using Waltham Tandori after our preferred restaurant Friends became cash only constantly. Whilst over the past year there have been a few grumbles about late deliveries, food not exact etc we have generally been happy with the food and service. Over the past few orders it has been evident that customer service is not a priority for Waltham Chase Tandori. When complaints are made they simply shrug them off and on occasion talk down to you, at least friends would offer a small compensation should a complaint be made. Talk down to my wife on the last order, which will be our last, when she simply was enquiring where our food was following a 40min delay to the advised time of delivery. Received the food luke warm so when I called they tried to suggest my wife was rude to them on the phone which I know was not the case as I was in the room during the call. Despicable customer service, obviously doing well as don't care about keeping customers happy on genuine complaints. Will be going back to friends as their curries were always slightly better and at least they know how to treat customers correctly

We had occasion to visit Bishops Waltham last Saturday on a lovely sunny spring evening. What a very pretty village this is. After a stroll around, we just happened to come across the Waltham Tandoori and we are so glad we did! The setting is an old pub with a certain rustic charm, tudor beams etc. Very bright and roomy, good spacing between tables. What a gem though. The food, all of it, was exquisite. My main dish was delicious - prawns cooked with chillies and garlic. Very hot and spicy (might be too much for some but fine for me). Hubby had Naga Lamb, another hot dish but he loved it. They also accommodated my food allergies (dairy) without any fuss whatsoever. Service was polite and cheerful. We didn't book, but I think at busy times it might be wise to. Most customers appeared to be regulars, probably locals but ever so welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be coming here again.

Waited 3 hours for our delivery. On the 4th re-call to check progress we were notified an address wasn’t given. Forgive me as I thought this was the restaurants job to ask for details. Generally up to date and modern restaurants log previous customers detail to log these, unfortunately this wasn’t the case and the owner must have memory problems these days. Speaking previous customers, we will not be future customers. My Female partner was antagonised and harassed on arrival of the delivery on the bases of our 4 calls to the restaurant over the course of 3 hours. Shocking service, very unprofessional. Quite clear why this business is struggling funds and was seeking an auction sale in the previous months.

I treated my son to a Saturday night curry and as we've never visited before we tried Waltham Tandori for something new. We were both glad we did as it was an excellent meal. I had the Harri-Alli which was beautifully spiced with just the right level of heat. My son had the Waltham Surprise and has been raving about it ever since. The staff were great, friendly, welcoming and efficient. The restaurant had a light and modern feel with everything you would expect. If you fancy a treat it is well worth a visit.

Went there on Thursday lunchtime with another couple, superb service, the food we chose was not too spicy hot. The coconut rice was a pleasant change from plain rice, can recommend Khyber Pass curry with large pieces of chicken in a nice sauce. Thoroughly recommend. Interior well maintained and tables well-spaced out and nicely laid. Good choice of dishes to suit all tastes. Good Parking

We met up as a family for a meal. We went at lunchtime. This was my granddaughters first experience of eating in a restaurant. The welcome was so friendly. The staff were lovely, and the food was gorgeous. We all really enjoyed our meal. Nothing was too much trouble. Portion size was generous. We'd have loved a pudding but just didn't have the room. Would definitely go again and would recommend.

Really liked the food from this place but they clearly don't care about allergies. Told them about my food allergy before I placed the order, have been twice before so wasn't an issue. When I got home half the food had my allergen in it and I can't eat it. I called back to complain especially since I saw it written down and the guy I spoke to hung up on me. I live 30 minutes away so it wasn't reasonable to drive back to return the food which is what he wanted me to do. Wouldn't give me credit towards my next meal either. It's an ALLERGY not a preference. It's a shame as we were happy to make this our regular. Won't be back.

Visited today 27 August for dinner following a 2 wheel off raod trip to Salisbury and found it purely by chance. There was a great welcome, all of the staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic. My friend and I were happy with every part of our experience. Restaurant is biker friendly too but we opted to sit outside as we weren't at our freshest! Highly recommended.

A regular visitor, but not as regular as I would like to be, as the food is excellent Always a great welcome, a chat and a small beer, before enjoying my takeaway at home

Had a lovely meal here chicken tikka masala. The star were all friendly and very welcome. Definitely be eating here again
