Nice traditional cafe. Friendly staff. V reasonable. Obviously used by locals which is always a good guide. Husband had a full English breakfast and I had a bacon bap.

Coffee was dreadful. To be honest the assistant who took the order did say it was only instant coffee. It tasted stale, we left without finishing it.

I usually get a cheese and onion roll here. Absolutely lovely. Staff are always nice and they will make the roll up fresh. Bit pricey for a roll but I think the service and quality out weighs the price.

A lovely traditional bakery with tea rooms too if you’d like to eat in. They are also doing all they can in the current circumstances (Covid -19) to serve safely - thank you so much

lovely tiny cafe alongside with reasonable menu . we had 2 jackets potatoes in our party spuds a little small but reasonable filling and plenty of sallard . another party member loved there panni . had cold drinks which were good . only major problem no toilets in cafre .. not to much of a problem for your average person but for one with bladder problems did mean a swift dash to a public one under 5 mins walk away . but would be less stressful to have one in the cafe itself as had over 20 seats so i would expect one . would revisit if was in the area

Great place when you are really starving. I had chips with chilli cone cane and it was delicious and the rate was very cheap. Just cost me 3 pounds. Staffs are very friendly

Great place for a quick snack - very friendly staff and good service. Seems a very popular place. Only downside was seating a bit cramped - cake was lovely!

Very small and squashed eating area, but clean and well kept. Lovely, friendly waiting staff and the tea is nice but the meat pies dont have any meat in, they are all gravy - well maybe 3 tiny bits of what looked like steak - but no kidney. Hey ho - the gravy was very thick and tasty!

Nice selection of cakes and such like. The menu was pretty standard for a little cafe. Service was friendly. Lost a point for serving me a Latte made from powder which was _dire_ and cost £2 too! I gazed longingly at the Costa over the road as I desperately tried to purge my palate - yuk.

We are regulars and really enjoy the food, and the feel of the cafe. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is always great. The best thing ever is the Bacon and Brie Baguettes :-)

One of the best bakeries, so reasonably priced and the food is always fresh. The most delicious ring donuts I've ever tasted!

Good fresh breads. Nice traditional cakes. Battenburg particularly good. Stainers supplies many other shops in Hants.

Strainers is good value for money, good traditional food my only complaint is they do not bake fresh bread on a Saturday so anything you buy is leftovers from Friday. Which seem strange because people tend to have more time to enjoy there food at the weekend and I'm sure would love to buy fresh

Stainers is a beautiful bakery in bishops Waltham which I absolutely love. They offer a wide range of tasty pastries, cakes, sandwiches and hot meals. Very good prices and everything tastes home cooked and fresh. The iced ring donuts in particular are my favourites. They are even better than Krispy Kremes! Bishops Waltham wouldn't be the same without stainers.

Hi I live this bakery I would recommend taking away though as the eating area is very small approx 6 tables and a bit squashed, the produce is great and good value for money, the sausage rolls are the best

Love coming here to grab a quick bite to eat especially when it's not too expensive. This is a cash only establishment so make sure you have some money on you as no cards accepted. Can't complain for the quality and price here.

Slightly biased but my lovely sister-in-law delivers mince pies every Christmas from this family-owned bakery. They are absolutely the best ever! Just the right amount of filling and the perfect pastry shortness. ❤️

A friend and I had been touring the area and went to Bishop's Waltham for afternoon tea. We found Stainers. We waited a long time to be served, realising that it was self service! We ordered a scone and tea which we then had to wait a long time for. The cafe was empty when we visited but did fill up during the time we were there. The tables are very close together so it doesn't allow for very intimate conversation!

Visited for afternoon tea with friends, atmosphere nice and great to read a little bit of history about the place. Disappointed in how close the tables and chairs are, a bit of a squash. Food and tea very good, and great value.

Love love this bakery. Such good value for the food you get here. I recommend the bacon and cheese turnovers. Also the iced ring doughnuts. Cheaper to take away than eat in but if you do eat in you get the little side salad with the turnovers. Would avoid the coffee in here. Not up to scratch but the pastries and cakes are delicious! You can't visit Bishops Waltham without taking a trip to the bakery!

I can remember when this shop was the local electrical shop - so was shocked to see it as the local tea rooms.

Have been using this place for years. It is a tea room attached to a local bakery. Very popular with locals and tradesmen for takeaways too. It offers a good mug of filter coffee and pastry based hot and cold snacks at very reasonable prices. Portions of chips and peas are fairly generous not served by the teaspoon. This is honest fast food, nothing fancy but excellent for what it is. Far cheaper than the chain coffee shop across the road or most supermarket cafes. The little tea room is very clean and tables are wiped down regularly unlike many of the more "hip" places around this part of Hampshire. Atmosphere is homely, staff are friendly and helpful. The eating area looks out on a corner of the street so you can see all the comings and goings of the town.

Lovely place specialising in chocolates and indeed hot chocolate. Popped in today for a vegan hot chocolate, pot of tea and two cinnamon buns. All really good and a couple of salted caramel pieces of chocolate as tasters too. Will happily return to try some more and perhaps buy some chocolates too.

Breakfast costs 16 pounds for 2 small salmon-on-top-of pastry things and came out barely warm. Absolutely not worth the time. I swear, people in Winchester have too much money to throw around. The man manager/waiter is lovely though.

My first time coming in here and I was not expecting the food to be so tasty! So much choice and not the bland food you always think of when you think of vegan choices. Pleasantly surprised.
