Arfter hearing all the hype about this place me and my partner decided to try it First impression where verry good we got told there were no tables for 45 mins because it was busy. The system they use to call you for your table is brilliant We were served by a young lady who was very aggy. When I forgot to order a coffee, it sempt like a massive deal when I re asked her when she came back with are other drinks It took a wile for are food to come out with was understandable due to how busy they were When the food arrived, I had ordered the chicken eggs benedic. This was extremely dry even with the hollandaise sauce (witch didn't exactly have any flavour to it) My partner ordered the pancakes that were very disappointing, they had no flavour to them and also verry dry. They also tasted of old oil It's such a shame we have a bad exspiriance with the chandler's ford shop as we had hurd such good things I also tried to look on their website for an email to their customer relations but could not find one

Called in here for lunch after visiting Bishops Waltham Palace. Excellent cafe/coffee shop serving nice food. Great toasties with plenty of filling. Nice friendly service, clean, efficient and no long waits. Would return if we were in the area. 10/10

Love a Josie's takeaway to bring home. This is a good service that they have carried on since Covid and I'm glad, because they don't often have space for a party of five due to a lot of small tables. Also, since we got the puppy, we can only eat outside, which doesn't work in the winter either, as they aren't dog friendly inside.

Visited the Chandler's Ford branch. The coffee tasted nice but barely warm and they can’t really cater for a gluten free diet so very little food choice. The GF bread was horrible. Ended up with just mushrooms and two poached eggs as the sausages and chorizo aren’t GF (why when there are so many delicious ones available without gluten???). Waited 10 mins for the coffee and then 40 mins for the food. My first visit and my last tbh. Really don’t know what the hype is about!

We'd heard good things about Josie's so popped in last week for a drink and a shared cake. My daughter and I both had milkshakes which were extremely nice and we all shared a cake which we enjoyed. We thought we'd try lunch there today and the food was superb. I had Josie's club sandwich, slightly pricey at £9.50 but when it arrived and I tasted it it seemed a bargain. I don't say this lightly but this may be the best sandwich I have EVER eaten, perfectly cooked bacon, tender chicken with a lovely crispy coating, garlic aoili and tomato chutney which both worked perfectly together and all on delicious sourdough bread. My wife and daughter both liked their sandwiches (though not *quite* as much as me!). We tried smoothies this time which were good. We all shared a two pancake portion of Biscoff pancakes which turned out to be huge, and we ended up bringing some home (staff were very helpful when people wanted to take food or drinks home and had plenty of containers). Pancakes were lovely and very filling. It isn't cheap but you do get what you pay for and everything we've tried has been excellent quality.

New Josies Chandlers Ford is,by a country mile, the best coffee shop in the area. Food amazing and generous portions. Josie herself always free to chat to customers. Be good when one can pay at the table but understand this is coming. Some tables perhaps a little close to allow privacy but am nit picking! Will continue to support and recommend highly. David.

I came here this morning with my husband and daughter. They both had pancakes with bacon and I had a small breakfast. The only thing that was hot was the toast. I was not impressed as I has waited all morning to eat. I asked the girl to take the breakfast off the bill which she did. She apologised and was very polite about it. We normally go to Winchester and never have any problems.

Been going to Josies regularly every week since it opened and it was always really good but recently the service has really deteriorated. Have to wait ages to be served and if you are simply popping in for just a coffee and a chat with a friend the waitress staff have regularly made us feel uncomfortable for just having coffees!. Sometimes the coffees are just luke warm! Cafe 60 down the high street is so welcoming and they are more than happy for you to just have a cup of coffee. Our younger people used to go regularly to Josies for food but have also said it isn't as good as it used to be .

Wonderful lunch at Josie’s in Bishop’s Waltham today. The food was delicious, we each had the chicken wrap. The coffees were spot on, too. Even though it was busy, the staff were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. They were all so friendly and attentive and we didn’t have to wait long for anything. Also, the seat by the window is great for watching the world go by! We had a lovely time - thank you.

Ordered tots and a toasted sandwich, coffee and apple juice. Ordered 10.08 collection 10.28 Arrived to collect 10.30 Waited till 10.50 Thankfully we opened the boxes in the car, before leaving. Food was sweaty in the boxes and cold. Had clearly been sat in the boxes for some time. After returning to the restaurant to complain, we where offered a refund. Not that helpful when your hungry and now been waiting for your food. After explaining we want the food, they agreed to re cook our food. We then had to wait in the car again as there where no tables. Finally we got our food and they refunded our order. The end result was ok, but the service to get to that point was very poor. It’s a shame as the food is good. But it puts us off ordered for the future.

Came here for brunch on a Friday in December. No bookings taken, so walk in and wait for a free table. Greeted at the door by staff. COVID compliant, with face masks, hand sanitiser and trace + trace QR code. The interior of the cafe is nice and modern, but also quite cosy and really well done. Definitely feels like an upmarket and classy cafe. The young staff were wonderful. Have a great service. Polite, friendly and attentive when required. The food was really really good. They had a festive menu, to which I chose the pigs in blankets benedict. 2 x muffins, 4 x pigs in blankets, 2 x poached eggs, with hollandaise sauce, cranberry sauce and stuffing. I wasn’t sure about the combination, but it was one of the best eggs benedict’s I’ve had. Perfectly cooked eggs! If you’ve got time to have this before the festive menu goes away until next xmas, try it! Wife had pancakes, with fruit, syrup and bacon. Does come with ice cream too and can choose 1,2 or 3 pancakes. She highly rated her brunch and was very complimentary of it. Looking at the menu, it looks like any other regular cafe, but honestly the food was so tasty and done so well. No surprise they had a queue forming outside as we left. Well done we’ll be back

Gracias.

I went there with my family on Sunday to have a quick lunch, and the staff was really friendly, and we like the environment. However I was really disappointed with their special dish - Turkey club sandwich. It cost nearly £10, but they didn't even use the proper turkey meat, they used Turkey package slices, and it contains 2 very thin slices of Turkey meat, I couldn't taste the Turkey meat at all. The other food my family ordered was tasty, so don't waste £10 on this Turkey club sandwich, try the other dishes.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and cheerful. The coffee is great as is the atmosphere. The food as far, as I understand, is very tasty; however, I am vegan, and there is not one single savory meal option on the menu that is suitable for vegans. I do visit Josie's quite often, bringing with me friends and family, but am always left not eating a breakfast or lunch. It doesn't even seem that easy to customise a menu option as, quite disappointingly, there is no 'spread' available, only butter. I had a mushroom toasite - with oil as spread instead of actual spread. In this era of rising veganism, I do find this both disappointing and surprising that vegans are not catered for at all - apart from milk alternative drinks.

Arrived and got a table...be advised this place becomes very busy, very quickly. Not such a hidden gem, more like a known treasure. So on to the verdict which matters. Breakfast quality was 8/10 (opted for egg, avocado on sour dough bread). My son had Pancakes which looked delicious. He seemed to enjoy them. The coffee was ok, your basic type of barista coffee. The pricing reflects the value of the breakfast. This not a weatherspoons so don’t expect cheap, but in life you get what you pay for.

Visited on my birthday for a breakfast brunch. Got the window table amazingly . Busy with young mums but service as always quick and with a smile. Poached eggs and coffee. Great

Came and met some friends for a quick late lunch on Saturday a 4pm, the cafe/restaurant was quite quiet it obviously due to the weather. I sat down and ordered a tuna and onion toastie and a green tea. After 20 mins of waiting my food showed up, was fantastic, but I still didn't have my tea. My friend was also missing his sweet potato fires and when they came over shortly after I asked where my tea was. 10 minutes later I was half way through my food when they bought the wrong drink over to me, I took it back to the counter and asked for my actual drink, which I didn't get till I had finished my food. Working in a restaurant myself a customer should have their drink long before they gave their food, and because it arrived so late I barely had time to drink it before I had to leave. The safe weren't exactly apologetic or even care about their mistake which is the more upsetting thing really. Good food, but staff need to work on their customer service

All the staff were really friendly and happy to help. They always seemed enthused and eager to make our visit the best it could be. The food was good but a little overpriced however that is to be expected in a place like this. Likely to visit again.

Visit here often and it gets better every time. Delicious breakfast this morning, I had the sausage sandwich, piping hot and wonderfully fresh. Husband had mushrooms and poached eggs on sour dough, equally good. Service excellent and the atmosphere is worthy of any trendy London eatery. You may well have to queue to get in but always worth it.

I live in the village and probably use Josie’s about once a month. It’s a great place to meet friends for coffee but even better for lunch. It’s very popular so there’s often a queue for a table at peak times but they do take reservations.

My partner & I visited the Josies in Bishops Waltham for lunch today! The whole experience was just awful. I normally would rave about Josies, but after today I will not be returning. To begin with we waited around 20 minutes just for a coke to be served to us. After a long wait we then received our food. I ordered the buttermilk chicken pancakes - I found a hair within mine and was then put off. My partner ordered the Josies Club Toastie. This looked particularly dry and unfortunately was served with RAW chicken inside, which my partner had eaten. We got one of the waitresses over immediately and queried if the chicken should be cold and asked her if the chicken looked raw to her. She went through to the kitchen and spoke with chefs, we then saw her scrapping the remainder of the sandwich in to the bin. The waitress then came back to us and explained that they were all mortified and how sorry they were. We got a refund for the sandwhich and two loyalty cards for free coffees. Absolutely disgusted by this. Throughout us being in the restaurant we could here all the chefs singing and messing around, maybe if they actually were concentrating and cooking properly, raw chicken would not have been served. We will definitely not be returning and will not ever recommend to people who haven’t been before!

I had a fab breakfast in this vibrant cafe. The place was packed and several people waiting for tables. It’s fun, lively, good atmosphere and lovely food. I have been there twice both times I had a great breakfast and nice coffee.

Great coffee and fabulous food even for a vegetarian. Seems to be busy and they would benefit form a bigger space.

Very inconsistent with their food, eggs were hard for both me and my boyfriend, side orders were forgotten and too cramped to sit in there. Grumpy looking staff behind the bar too! What a shame.

Myself and my partner visit Josie's as a preferred option for breakfast/brunch. The food is always delicious and worth the wait if we visit at peak serving times. If you don't wish to wait try to visit early or later. A victim of its own popularity the café can become a little crowded with people waiting at the weekends. We find the staff are always welcoming and attentive and the menu choices and the food different to other similar establishments but well worth any waiting time which might occur. We have taken friends and family here on numerous occasions and without exception all have been impressed and vowed their wish to return in the future.

20 minutes for a coffee today ... the order was forgotten. It’s such a shame because I really like the coffee. The food is great. Just the service is very hit and miss sometimes.

The manager of this establishment was incredibly rude to my mother (who is unwell) because she outstayed her welcome!!! I think they are only interested in a high turnover over customers who want to buy their overpriced food rather than valuing their regular local lonely customers!! I hope your profits are worth it as you have really upset my Mum!!!

Very poor selection of GF. Most places do cater for customers with wheat allergies. All that was offered was gf bread. I was charged over £6 for a very plain cheese toasted, dumped on a plate with a pot of coleslaw. This arrived fifteen minutes after my friends had finished their coffee and cake. Everything should of been brought out at the same time.

Without doubt one of our favourite brekkie places in the area. Although always busy the turnaround time and wait on tables is never long yet you never feel rushed. This is a more go to the counter and order type place than at table service but that has never taken away from our enjoyment the new menu is delicious and you are positively spoilt for choice. The only thing that I would say could be an improvement would be the option to book tables, however with how quickly they turn tables around I also understand they could be potentially losing out on revenue with late tables and no shows.

This coffee shop /cafe is another great find . Bishops Waltham is one of those places that is very easy to just drive through and actually miss out on the best part of this quaint typically Hampshire style town.

We decided to meet some friends for a Sunday breakfast treat. We hadn’t been before, but were told by others to look for the café with the queue outside. Sure enough a small queue of people were waiting outside as we walked to the café.

Really really friendly staff. I spilt my coffee accidentally. A waitress dashed over. Moped up the table and gave me a complimentary coffee. Food is cheap and tasty. Atmosphere is brilliant. A wonderful place. Unfortunately lots of other people agree with me as it is constantly busy!! Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent value.

Lovely place specialising in chocolates and indeed hot chocolate. Popped in today for a vegan hot chocolate, pot of tea and two cinnamon buns. All really good and a couple of salted caramel pieces of chocolate as tasters too. Will happily return to try some more and perhaps buy some chocolates too.

My first time coming in here and I was not expecting the food to be so tasty! So much choice and not the bland food you always think of when you think of vegan choices. Pleasantly surprised.

Breakfast costs 16 pounds for 2 small salmon-on-top-of pastry things and came out barely warm. Absolutely not worth the time. I swear, people in Winchester have too much money to throw around. The man manager/waiter is lovely though.
