As the âcosta training centreâ if this one ainât good then you ainât going to get any better. It was a massive building with beautiful views of the canal in the back areas. Two outdoor seating areas on the main town road and down in the water side. Very busy but helpful and efficient staff with lots of space inside.

This is our local Costa and we don't normally use a café so close to home, but it was raining, so we took a break and a coffee here. It is just as any Costa Coffee should be, predictable but reliable. They were cleaning even the ceiling lamps when we were there, so they must take cleanliness seriously, even though some tables needed to be cleared. Happy to come back again when it rains.

I grew up in Chieveley and was back visiting my parents with my partner on 5th Nov. Hearing that the garden centre had had a new extension we thought weâd drop in. My partner said he fancied something savoury so we dropped in at the restaurant in the older part of the garden centre. We ordered and got sat down, I then went off to use the loo and found another lady in there wondering around and she said there was no loo roll in any of the cubicles. She had managed to get some from the disabled loo and shared it with me. I then told one of the members of staff with a trolley that there was no loo roll and she said she wasnât sure if it was âtheirâ responsibility. And walked off to check. She then came back to our table to tell me that as she thought âtheyâ donât have access which I assume she meant rosemary and thyme - at this point our hot roof had arrived - she then told me how they donât have a key for the cupboard and canât get to the loo rolls and that I would have to go and tell the staff in the new section as itâs their responsibilityâŠ. That would have meant me leaving my coffee and hot food - going out in the rain walking across the carpark through the new bit to find someone to tellâŠ.And I thought ok maybe you donât have a key but how ridiculous to expect a paying customer who just sat down with hot food to go and tell another member it staff?!!! The lady should have just gone over and told the other section when I first told her. Also being a morning and for there to be no loo roll in what looked like 4+ cubicles and not checked before opening for business that day when youâre serving food and drink is just not on. Cost of living makes you really question where you spend on food and drink / treats. Itâs just so disappointing.

Just bought 5 large pizzas, barely any toppings and the cheese was so thin it was crunchy, I thought franchises had to maintain the correct standard would have got more pleasure from eating the ÂŁ50 it just cost

Iâm not allergic to nuts. Husband allergic to nuts Child, potential allergy. We ordered an ice cream each and two of those were the chocolate brownie ice cream - this was ordered based on no advertisement of nuts being present. My son ate his and thankfully no reaction but my husband who has a nut allergy had a sudden swelling of his lips and throat and quickly went up to the counter to ask if said ice cream contained nuts. The Asian man at the counter looked at a rolled up piece of paper in a plastic film and threw it across to us without saying anything and we looked ourselves and peanuts are in fact in the chocolate brownie ice cream. My husband then told them of his allergy and said this needs to be advertised, no apology from them. In fact, they actually didnât respond and we left. A simple lolly stick in the gelato with the allergen written would suffice. God forbid someone buys their ice cream and is highly allergic. Needless to say, they have been reported to public protection.

The food wasnât good, hard rolls on the burgers, advised this was the type of roll it is, but it wasnât edible. Staff friendly enough but the toilets really let the place down, they really need a good clean. Shame as I know their food can be good.

This is a somewhat unappealing pub on Newbury market place. The barmaid stated she was new and hadn't a clue where anything was. It was clean but there are better options close by. Sport was shown on the TV

On our way to Bournemouth we had a comfort stop at Chieveley services we manage to purchase 2 lovely decaf coffee's at Costa coffee we recieved quick friendly service I enjoy the blend of coffee served collecting the bean's is a good incentive.

We didn't fancy breakfast, but certainly enjoyed a freshly made coffee. It went down a treat as discussed what time we wanted to leave to finish our final leg of our journey. We enjoyed sitting and watching the world go by before venturing on our way. Great coffee every time.

Not happy this time as well . Ordered birthday cake for 31st March 2024 a week before. The day of collection they said , they were unable to deliver as the cake was damaged . Trying to convince us , to take another cake , At the end I got the refund. I am sure they didnât even realised how much it upset a customer. I understand problem happens but the way you solve it that makes the difference. If the attitude is like , whatâs the difference to take any other cake but not you have chosen . Careless and unprofessional.

Last weekend we placed an order. It took two and a half hours to arrive and when it is it was delivered it was dreadful, watery, cold and not what we had ordered. The delivery lady apologised on delivery to say they had âcocked everything up this evening â We then received a message to say because of the issues the week before they would deliver a complimentary meal I ordered and was told an hour, after an hour an a half I called and was told itâs on its way ⊠after one and three quarter hours it arrived. The food was cold and again not what we had ordered. We called back and was told to âreheat the foodâ !! From a food hygiene perspective re heated rice is really not recommended I fully appreciate that businesses get busy but please close when you canât provide a good service
