I’m not allergic to nuts. Husband allergic to nuts Child, potential allergy. We ordered an ice cream each and two of those were the chocolate brownie ice cream - this was ordered based on no advertisement of nuts being present. My son ate his and thankfully no reaction but my husband who has a nut allergy had a sudden swelling of his lips and throat and quickly went up to the counter to ask if said ice cream contained nuts. The Asian man at the counter looked at a rolled up piece of paper in a plastic film and threw it across to us without saying anything and we looked ourselves and peanuts are in fact in the chocolate brownie ice cream. My husband then told them of his allergy and said this needs to be advertised, no apology from them. In fact, they actually didn’t respond and we left. A simple lolly stick in the gelato with the allergen written would suffice. God forbid someone buys their ice cream and is highly allergic. Needless to say, they have been reported to public protection.

Do not go to newbury gelatos they treat there staff like s##t and never pay them and because there under 18 they think they can get away with it

I can’t believe I have just wasted money in your establishment. What a terrible experience not only did our food all come out at separate times. We had to wait nearly half hour for one meal, which was then delivered to the wrong table. When we asked where our last meal was there was no apology given other than to be told, someone else had eaten it and were making a new one. I am also curious if the staff enjoy their job, there was definitely no service with a smile. The whole team seemed very unapproachable and miserable if I am honest. Really disappointed with the outcome of our visit, this used to be a great treat for the family, however I am unsure if our family will be returning at all. Ps - please let your team know the difference between a cappuccino and a latte will. Place used to be really nice and a great treat for our family however, we will not be returning.

Best ice cream in town with a lots of flavour definitely coming back especially summer is on the way

Great gelato, have tried several flavours, love the coffee flavour. Also recommend trying the chocolate fudge cake with whipped cream!

Absolutely disgusted with the customer service in this place. Absolutely shocking and would not recommend. Left my daughter in tears by their bad attitude and rudeness. Do not visit. The guy behind the till was so rude and not polite in the slightest. And the girl who brought the sundaes to our tables literally might as well have thrown the spoons at us. Also had the wrong sundae delivered too. So if you want bad customer service and a stinking attitude then please visit. We will certainly not be visiting again.

We popped into Sundaes Gelato for a pudding as my friends all enjoy puddings. Me myself I’m not a major fan. The store is very retro and you feel like you’re in a 50s diner which is pretty cool. They have a wide range of products on offer for desert lovers. The staff seemed lovely and were friendly when serving us. I wish they sold slush puppies as I would 100% return if so.

This is the second time we have been here and and for some reason my husband and I forgot how bad the first time was and came back; mainly because all the cafes in town were full. The staff are so lacklustre; they clearly don’t want to be there and the bloke who I assume is the manager is by far the worst one. Surely he can’t own the place or he would have some ounce of interest in what he does. Ironically, he the one that was there last time, giving terrible service. We were the only customers in there again and he couldn’t be bothered to stop texting on his phone and actually acknowledge me. He made sure he finished first and still didn’t say hello or welcome, he just looked at me. Eventually his younger female colleague came over and served us. The service is on the same level as the food and drinks……bland and forced. We bumped into a friend after and told her where we had been and her response was “why would you go there….that place is awful” Well, we won’t be going back. I’m annoyed at myself for spending money in there again. Save your money and your Customer Service expectations and go somewhere where they appreciate customers.

Kids behind the counter constantly chatting unaware of what’s going on. Felt like just walking out and in retrospect wished We had. No service, collected own menu. Ordered at the till, staff need to do customer service course as no idea how to speak to customers. Waffle cold, not as described, ice cream ok. Advice is save your money and have a day trip to London, They know how to make the deserts and excellent service.

27/7/21 19:00 Me and my girlfriend visited sundaes to celebrate. But when my girlfriend went up to order she was told ‘we don’t sell that’ and to look at the menu ‘properly’. Even though the item was selected from the menu. She came back to our table visibly upset and the male who served us smirked at his colleague. They were rude from the start and frowned at any questions customers had. Unfortunately, our knowledge of their menu is minimal so we struggled to know what we were allowed to order. My girlfriend cried on the way out following the service; which was disappointing when we drove 20 minutes to go there.

We decided to pop in on a rainy Sunday afternoon. We had been meaning to come for a while and thought we'd take the plunge! The service was very pleasant with a smile (which wasn't the case in a previous waffle place!) A fabulous place to spend some time with family with the added bonus of delicious waffles including one of your five-a-day if you have strawberries and bananas on it 😁 so a bit less guilty 🤣 pop along and have a treat, you deserve it!

My friend and I dropped in for a quick ice cream after dinner, we went in a asked if we could sit down after getting our own menu off the side. I don’t feel any of this was covid friendly to be honest as it didn’t look like the menus where wiped or tables cleaned and masks seemed optional to the staff maybe. The welcome was very cold and like we had interrupted something, however we was the only ones in there. We went up to the counter to order and the lady serving us was so miserable. I asked for two cups of one scoop of coffee ice cream for my friend and I. She seemed confused as to what I had asked and kept asking what we wanted as if it was bizarre we was ordering it ice cream there. The ice cream tasted delicious but the atmosphere of the place was miserable and didn’t feel very safe that we left half way through with our ice cream in hand. I wouldn’t bother going back to sit in, and it’s a little over priced. £8 for some ice cream!

5 stars only applies to the dessert. The service is nothing special, the setting itself is fairly dull and uninspiring, however, if you want something mouthwatering sweet and are not concerned about sugar and calories, this is for you. I cannot see past the crepe with strawberries, bananas, ice cream and the most delicious chocolate sauce which is like melted chocolate rather than a chemical tasting sauce from a bottle. If i could get away with it I'd eat this 3 times a day.

Hadn’t heard of this dessert bar but ordered through deliveroo, my expectations were exceeded! Despite being delivered, the ice cream was delicious (not melted!) and the waffles and all the toppings were very enjoyable. The website is good to look at and lots of varieties for you to choose from! I tried the velvet one which is a waffle with strawberries and banana topped with chocolate, chocolate strands and ice cream, was very yummy and not too sickly which can be easily done. Highly recommend :-)
