Papa John's in West Berkshire

Just bought 5 large pizzas, barely any toppings and the cheese was so thin it was crunchy, I thought franchises had to maintain the correct standard would have got more pleasure from eating the £50 it just cost

We have always used Papa johns for family treats but have not really enjoyed the last 2 orders they are now seriously lacking in topping and generally just not as good as they used to be, although will give them delivery was speedy and friendly but pizzas now a let down, can only assume something has changed. Will not be using them anymore.

We ordered online. Our food never turned up, so we phoned. We Just got told we can’t find your order (we had email confirmation and had paid for it). Then got told to send the email confirmation to them but couldn’t get their email address clearly and they hung up. We had to walk to them to show our email confirmation! Then they decided they would have to check with their manager’s manager whether they were going to honour the order that we had already paid for! At this point it was 37 mins late. Then they refused to make the food because their manager wouldn’t let them without charging us again!!! The people on the front desk were nice but there is clearly a terrible manager. We are left without our money and without our food. Disgusting attitude towards customers. They have said there *should* be a refund in 3 days. This doesn’t make up for the terrible service we have received.

Second time i ordered from here my food was thrown at my by the delivery diver and papa johns didnt care when there is this phsycopath has my address because they hired unstable staff. Horrendous customer service, honestly go to any other pizza shop. First time i ordered there they told me my food was out for delivery, then i get a call saying my food will arrive in an hour so i requested a refund that nearly took a month cause they didnt put the refund through on the till.

From phoning up and placing my order with the polite young lady who was very helpful to the friendly polite man who delivered the hot tasty pizza. It was quickly delivered and would recommend.

Best deep pan vegan pizza available in Newbury. Prompt delivery and orders accurate. Would recommend.

I ordered the double pepperoni pizza and asked to not include the EXTRA cheese as per the website, I still wanted cheese on the pizza but they delivered without any cheese at all. When I called to explain they refused to admit they were wrong and only offered to make another pizza but charge me for it. Absolute idiots don't even know their own website and can barely speak English. Will never order from them again.

I received a menu for the door and as we didnt fancy cooking we did what we never do thats order a delivery pizza. Mainly because I generally dont think they are value for money and lots of the other main services are not very good! But I was impressed with our meal from Papa Johns Newbury. both pizzas turned up hot within 45 min! The ingrediants and base were very good. It tasted like good pizza! Price was ok.

toppings missed off pizza had company so by time we had shared it out and relaised was too late to sort messaged on twitter unhelpful best avoided

This is the best pizza place in the county. The food is so fresh and tasty and the staff are warm and friendly. The online ordering is so easy and the delivery is quick. They also give great value for money, you have to try their service

This was the first time that we've used Papa John's. We were impressed by the speed of delivery - about 25 minutes after placing the order online, but we were disappointed by the quality of the food. We had the American Hot pizza with BBQ wings and Chicken Poppers as side dishes. The sides weren't too bad, but the pizza was pretty average! Not bad, but not great either. Underwhelming is probably the best description I could give.

My Vegans are happy with their takeaway and love the cinnamon bake which we usually finish for breakfast or nursery lunch !

Quick delivery to Thatcham (30min from my online order), tasty and warm. Have not ordered for many months because our last delivery was late and pizzas were soggy and hardly warm. Seeing a good deal we have decided give it a second chance - this time it was worth it.

Had a delivered takeaway this evening. Yet again it was late. The pizzas were cold and soggy, no sign of the thin and crispy base. The corn on the cobs were soggy, cold and inedible. It used to be so much better. I phoned the shop but they were totally disinterested.

We treated ourselves to pizza after the races. The website was ok and easy to use and it was BOGOF so cost effective. The base was nice, but the next day all three of us were poorly. I don’t think it was food poisoning I just think it didn’t agree with us. Everything else was great and service was good.

Didn't have a nice experience with this. Didn't enjoy the food, it was late and not all that hot. Since making this purchase, I've been getting a lot of offers through the post which I didn't sign up to. Very annoying.

I am surprised by the comments here !!!! We have been ordering from the Papa John's for years now and the reason we do it over an over is because we like it. I would often drop into the store in Hamdbridge road and the collect the pizza after doing the shopping in Newbury. Garden Party is my fav and they would add chicken in place of a topping if you ask for. They some had nice collection in chicken during the summer but they seemed to have discontinued. Club chicken is a good one as well. Being a take-way I think they should improve upon the delivery since they seems to take ages while delivering to my office late evenings.

Delivery guy was very pleasant. But the Pizza was terrible, i wont be buying from a papa johns pizza again.

50% off if spending over £40 which let's face it is easy done with the price of an xxl pizza starting at £16.99. Pizzas are nice, love the cheese garlic sticks. Was delivered piping hot.

Soy un gran amante normalmente no pizza, pero mi mujer quería probar como es John Pappa local y hay algunas muy buenas ofertas en línea. La pizza fue entregada dentro de los 30 minutos y fue absolutamente genial, la fiesta de carne muy sabrosa con corteza preciosa finas y los vegetarianos pizza de mi esposa también estaba muy buena. Sin duda pedir de nuevo como una gran relación calidad-precio

Thoroughly enjoyed great service delivered within 15 minutes. Highly recommended. I was surprised at the friendly reception easy to order and delivered piping hot with a friendly service. Value for money!.

Had a great experience of eating fresh pizzas from Papajohns. The driver who delivered the pizza was friendly and polite. Nice.

Was cold on arrival and pizza had no cheese! Phoned and was told we could have another one, asked if we could have anything else to compensate us and was rudely told no! Avoid at all costs. Go to caprinos, best pizza in newbury.

Pedí como colección, y mientras yo estaba esperando había moscas arrastrándose por toda la comida como los párpados no estaban cerrados o poner correctamente. Fueron quedó alrededor hay teléfonos y jugando en la tienda no estaba tan limpia, para ser honesto. Estoy desanime mi comida ahora. Esa fue mi primera vez pedir de ellos y desde luego no de nuevo.

I've always found pizzas here pretty good for what you pay. Delivery or pick up services and always prompt and on time. As good as any pizza in Newbury

Sólo le he dado 1 estrellas como no puedo seleccionar cero. previamente han perdido y por el tiempo que una pizza es frío. Pero tenían una buena oferta y me pareció que yo les daría otra oportunidad (ahora saben que la casa es ! ).

Although the pizza once arrived was good the ordering process and service was awful. I ordered online. 1 hour later I got an email to say online ordering was down - please call and replace order. Did this - girl said all credit card machines down so cash on delivery. I gave my order. 20 mins later I got a call to say online ordering down and to give my order ..... Again. I explained I had just done that. Anyway 2 hours later I got a pizza. Checked bank statement 2 days later only to find my card had been charged AND I had paid cash on the night. ..... Very disappointing

Ordered first ever papa johns today, never again!! Took an hour and forty minutes to arrive after I chased it up twice! Manager totally uninterested and sent a litre bottle of coke as an apology!!!Bloody awful service, shame because the pizzas were good; mind you we were so hungry by then we would have eaten anything!!
