Herbies Pizza in West Berkshire

Recent visit to Herbies was not great one, growing up on Hildens Drive and enjoying there pizza was great however the pizza i had on Sunday was not nice found a hair in pizza, I did notice when waiting for food the lady serving was not wearing hair net and i guessing this has come from her also service wasn’t great walking around with ear phones in and talking on phone ignoring customers that turned up . This experience has really put me off using Herbies in Future

Didn’t get my order at all not happy I would like a refund

Pizza ordered was delivered on time and hot. Have not much choice living in Whitchurch upon Thames. Have had to order from Village pizza and kebab, Tilehurst. Or hungry birds. Both were subpar. Prefer Herbie's now also delivery was relatively cheap.

I ordered food for 8.30pm because I was going to be out until 8.30pm but it arrived over 25 mins early, my husband said he would have to get it in the oven anyway because it's all cold. Pizza was hard on the bottom. Nachos taste like socks!

Pizza was cold when arrived and so was the fries

Coke can came as a diet one. Chips still soggy/undercooked despite asking them to cook longer. Instructions ignored.

Something was not right with my pizza,the taste was very bitter,something like the pizza or the ingredients were few days old

Terrible! Trying to order over the phone is like pulling teeth. Tried 3 times but gave up in the end

delivery driver was brilliant but the pizza is stone cold. I am having to heat it up as the cheese is cold and hard.

Cheesy chips, chicken wings, burger and kebab were stone cold. Considering we were called after 20 mins of placing the order and told that Herbies no longer do Kebabs and that they would make an exception for us and make a kebab, it was still cold when it arrived and so dry, hardly any mayo at all on it. Disappointed as usually Herbies is great.

had to air fryer our chips as soggy and undercooked. same with nuggets. least the burgers were both okay.

Kebabs are the most amazing, non greasy,I've ever had. Pizza and sides always hot, good portions and great quality. I have used this company on and off for years and never been failed... thankyou for broadening the menu.

The Kebab being a small not a large is the main problem. The rest arrived barely warm but luckily still tasted really nice.

Ordered for a late night takeaway. Delivery time was 50 minutes, bearing in mind, we live 10 minutes away. The food eventually came and was a large disappointment. I ordered a cheeseburger and it came without the cheese. The burger options don’t specify they already come with fries, so we wasted £7.50 on extra fries. The fries are quite frankly cardboard and stale. Raw onion comes in the burger too. Regrettably, our experience left quite a lot to be desired. The cuisine presented before me was lacking in both taste and sophistication. It is with a heavy heart that I report that the dish I selected proved to be unimaginative and, quite frankly, pedestrian. The use of low-quality ingredients was evident, and the lack of attention to detail was simply unacceptable.

The pizza was cold and dry and the potato skins were also dry, undercooked and cold. The garlic bread was nice, well cooked and hot. I am really disappointed as this was our first experience with you and for nearly £40 o thought it was a waste of money

Avoid at all cost. Cold food. Missing items. Phoned to ask about missing item and had a very negative response. Spoke to 3 different people and did not offer a refund or to send the item. Really poor service on the phone. Appalling!!!

Restaurant missed out adding the extra pineapple and jalapeños ordered, and the extra cheese slice may or may not have been added, difficult to tell.

Arrived piping hot and early! Food was very nice and would 100% recommend! I accidentally put the wrong address in, called herbies up and issue was sorted out efficiently and effectively, thanks herbies!

So the food came 30 mins early … however that’s about as far as I go when it comes to good things about this place … the chicken wings were uncooked, unseasoned and cold . Honestly I never thought u could make chicken taste that bad before but hey these guys did it ! Then was the burger…. Oh boy , it was same story as the chicken no flavour , cold and YET AGAIN not cooked properly! I can appreciate that sometimes with takeaway food u hit a dip in quality but honestly this was without a doubt the WORST THING I’VE EVER TRIED TO EAT ! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE IT IS A JOKE AND U GUYS SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO LET FOOD COME OUT THAT BAD !

Horrendous dealing with the issue we asked to pay in cash. Partner had just arrived back from work and didn't know this. Unprofessional responses when we rang up to let them know. And then delivery driver turned up 2 days later without notice for it (lucky we'd kept it!) Also still an issue with a unresolved refund we were meant to be given for a previous order. Lots of "we'll call you" and then radio silence. Not impressed Chips were not that great, most left as were too crunchy to be edible.

Had to edit my previous review. First real issue was a driver with car problems. Food was then over an hour late (was rectified by newly cooked food and a full refund was said would be given)---- This was from an order in November and has still not been done. Second was 2 days ago. Ordered and chose to pay by cash. Partner just arrived back from work and took it unaware of this. We rang up to rectify the situation. We were then told they would ring us back after lots of shouting. (Completely aside, the chips now seem to get worse each order :/) The driver then turned up tonight unannounced for the money (would have sucked if I was out?). We brought up the non-refunded previous order and were told "they would ring us". Very, very disappointed. Used to rave about them. But unprofessional

Food was luke warm so the pizza must of been sitting there for sometime...I understand thats its world cup qtr fin but to not keep the pizza desently warm would of been appreciated.

Ordered a classic pepperoni and a CYO (BBQ chicken, meatballs, pepperoni and extra cheese). Absolutely FANTASTIC. Very decent ingredients and you can tell. It arrived roughly 20 - 25 minutes ago and its still hot. I cannot fault Herbies at all, much better than most chains and local pizza places around Tilehurst. Definitely recommend to anyone!

I can only commend the customer service. Driver had car troubles which suck and caused lateness. Our food was then recooked and delivered promptly. Thank you to all the staff involved for being fantastic! And hopefully the drivers car troubles get sorted quickly. 🧡😁

Ordered paneer pizza which is advertised as having baby spinach, and it came without and substituted with green pepper, which I can’t stand. Would have been nice to have been contacted to have been told in advance.

Plus your driver is the only person in all the months I have lived here to not be able to follow simple instructions of a door entry code plus I am in a wheelchair. There is jelly as well as bubbles in the bubble tea which I did not ask for. Sadly I am very disappointed and will not be using you again

I have used several Pizza restaurants over time but I always prefer Herbies. The food is always excellent. They never make any mistakes. They do a great veggie hot pizza which I like to spice up with an additional helping of chillies. The calzone style garlic breads are awesome!!!

Had a kebab delivered and I swear it came from the artic the meat was so cold and tasted like a prehistoric mammoth won't be having one of those again.

Tasty but could have been hotter

Pizza, excluding cheese crust, has too much cheese and not enough tomato base. I ordered Margarita with tomato base plus double Pepperoni and double Pineapple. Expected more tomato than cheese.

Driver had no change for £20 note & milkshake was missing?? How are we able to rectify this?

Food arrived almost an hour later than originally stated. Ordered at 12.15 and didn’t arrive until just after 2pm. When it did finally arrive after chasing it was cold, the chips & burger were stone cold and pizzas barely warm. Wish they’d had refused the order if they were too busy/short staffed so we could have ordered something else. Very disappointing as for for my daughters birthday lunch as well.

Ordered nachos without jalapeño and there were loads of jalapeños on my nachos
