The best restaurants in Vale of White Horse South East

Wow what a gem of a pub. Went this evening and was served by Scarlett. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and explained everything very well to my partner who is a coeliac. Both the food and service was incredible and I would highly recommend to everyone. Thank you for a wonderful date night we can’t wait to come back. Az & Daisy

A really lovely place. Lunch, dinner and breakfast all excellent. Set in a beautiful village, there’s a lovely garden, the staff were amazing, the room lovely, really nice extra touches. Such good value. Would highly recommend.

This is a Beefeater restaurant just off the A34 alongside a Premier Inn. My wife and I went there for a date night as we had a 50% off mains voucher. This is a big place that I estimate could seat 250 diners. It was not too busy when were were there. Service was a bit slow at first, but once Drink and food orders were taken, drinks and food did not take long to arrive. My wife had a burger. I had a pie. The pie was hot enough, but not so hot it would burn your mouth. When we paid our bill we got a discount card giving 25% off mains courses, that can be used multiple time until October.

Awful experience. Dire service. Had to ask to order after waiting for 30 mins. After 45 mins I chased up my drink. May head over to McDonald’s if my dinner doesn’t arrive soon.

the only good part of our order was our two cans of drink. I have never had chicken like this, my chicken was black (chicken on the bone) it was so tough and chewy and dry. My fiance had a chicken burger, the state of the chicken was the same as mine but they had friend the burger bun in oil so anytime he squeezed it Oil spilled out of the bun. The box of chips we had to share were extremely stale, had definitely been left for a while then reheated. worst takeaway I have had.

Staff on the phone plus the manageress on shift were very helpful ,professional, and friendly. Even though short staffed, she was fab ! Good service, great Sunday roast 👌

Roast dinner was not very hot . Roast potatoes were a bit tough as if they had been Microwaved . So felt if was not freshly made .

Food was great and couldn’t fault it - well done chefs, however the service is so poor it really let the experience down. The staff really do need some training on how to interact and what they should be offering as a service. Couldn’t spot the stand out manager amongst the team on shift? Having to ask for someone to come take a drink order with great struggle to even get the attention, their focus was stuck on chatting and laughing amongst each other at the bar consistently. Had to ask for water and pudding menus twice. Abingdon is such a busy town with so many competitors: you really need to be able stand out and this needs some TLC in the service respect.

I like the place but quite disappointed because most items on the menu were not available.

Lovely pub in Tadpole Bridge. Friendly welcome and big outdoor area to sit. Food was lovely. We had a light lunch. Car parking available

Absolutely disgusting prices for food and value

Not from the area and staying in Abingdon. Just had the pleasure of the gourmet burger wowza don't really know what to say, know where I will be going next time I am here. Amazing food.
