Unfortunately we didn’t choose well that day. My soup was watery and tasteless, and my husband’s bacon toastie had a very small amount of bacon in it, which tasted microwaved. However, the cakes on the counter looked nice, and the chilli potato with cheese and coleslaw on the next table looked very good.

We called in here as I’d never been and thought we’d try it out. We ordered two cheese scones with butter and two coffees and sat in the garden. Our very small scones arrived before the coffees, We thought as we buttered our not very cheesy cheese scones that the butter had a strange texture, the coffees were very small and not that hot. As we sat chattering I noticed on the butter wrapper, ‘use by 6/6/23’ The date of our visit being Monday 19th June!! My friend caught the attention of the waitress and told her we’d just eaten two weeks out of date butter, she just said ‘Oh sorry, I’ll tell the kitchen’ We sat for another 15 minutes half expecting maybe a further apology from the kitchen but nobody came near us, so we left having spent £12.30 on two small un-cheesy scones, stale butter and two small warm coffees. Obviously there won’t be a return visit.

Despite what stupid people troll, the venue is perfectly set up to cope with dog visits, it’s called being inclusive! Owner met a dog, gave it a treat then washed his hands. Keyboard warriors post nonsense. We had the most delicious smoothie and were impressed with all the craft pts available too

Amazing Staff, I will really miss you Nichola & Adam? + Staff You were always very nice and chatty and always knew what we wanted and always prepared on time and very yummy. And the mochas were amazing. If when I saw you last a few weeks ago was going to be the last I would of stayed a bit longer! Very sorry to see you go :( If you see this! reach out on FB/LinkedIn

We arranged a surprise birthday party for 2 of our colleagues (we work on Milton Park) and the Manager and staff could not have been more helpful. We gave them our list of food choices and drinks 24 hours prior to yesterdays party and there was not a single problem. They even cut the cake we brought in and served it to us, knowing that this is usually chargeable in many places they wanted to ensure us all of a great time. I cannot praise the staff highly enough in this Brasserie and likewise in the cafe (visit is daily) The menu choices catered to all 20 of us and no one had to limit what they wanted because the choice was varied. Again, thank you for a brilliant lunch time service and you are now our "go to restaurant" for work lunches etc.See you all soon. On behalf of all 20 us THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT A GREAT SURPRISE :)

We live locally but had never visited The Lamb. We were impressed. We booked a table on night where there was live music. The pub had taken the trouble to phone us to check this was ok and to confirm they’d seated us in the restaurant. The service throughout our meal and from every team member was excellent, friendly and attentive. The pub was packed, and we were advised that our food would take bit longer than usual to prepare. We appreciated the heads up and were happy to wait in what is a very traditional pub setting. The food was first class, tasty and well presented. Overall an excellent experience that compared very favourably with any of the local pubs we visit. We would thoroughly recommend The Lamb and plan to revisit.

Sami's kebab is a wonderful local fast food joint offering a range of pizza and chicken treats, but known best to me for making the most delicious and fresh kebabs around. Gorgeous chunks of marinaded chicken served on rice or pitta (or without either if you're minding your carb intake!) with a wide range of fresh salad items, sauces and relishes to further heighten the taste. Wonderful service to me as a takeaway customer whereby I asked the delivery driver to drop the food inside the ground floor door (I'm 3rd floor and moving slowly due to a back issue) and instead, I'd just scooped myself up and out the door to go down and there was the smiling delivery driver already waiting with my food. 9 flights of stairs no issue to this guy. Top marks allround and heartily recommended by yours truly. 5/5

Despite the sign outside saying the last order for food from the kitchen was 1.45pm, we were told at 1.32pm that the kitchen was closed and no longer serving food. This was very disappointing and surely not the way to run a business. This was our first visit and probably the last.

Our regular morning coffee stop normally quite peaceful with outdoor seating in decent westher. Has a second hand book area, can be a little noisier on Saturday mornings when a lego session takes place

After his sailing, my son and I had Panini, chips and beans and a mug of tea, most welcome after a good sail. Out for a day on the water or just for a walk around the reservoir, Hackett's Harbour is a good place to stop for a hot drink or a filling snack.

Just a normal greggs morning after refuelling my vehicle, however I had to give a decent review due to the fact that as I was going to get a bacon and cheese turnover, the staff advised that the product was not warm, this I have never had and then advised on the sausage rolls just out of the oven. That in my view is quality service, to give the customer knowledge of the product being hot or cold is what people like to know, yes I could have asked but I didn’t need to and I’m not walking away disappointed. Only star taken away was because they were cold. I want a bacon and cheese turnover! But the coffee is tasty. Thanks greggs
