The best restaurants in Boughton and Courtenay Swale South East

As usual, our visit to The Dove was an excellent experience. The menu had a good choice of items, with Venison at the top of the list for fantastic quality and presentation. The staff, led by Will and Sophie, were very attentive, responding well to customer requests and anticipating likes and dislikes. It was quite a busy afternoon with only two 'front of house' staff, but Sophie and her assistant provided a well-paced, relaxed ambiance with no undue delays between courses. Long may The Dove's success continue!

A little gem on a busy road my first visit today with my elderly mum and was made so welcome from an earlier phone call for directions …. Which easy to find So pleased I went excellent food and fantastic valve friendly atmosphere from start to finish I felt like I’d known Nick ( the owner ) and Jackie for years The best bubble and squeak I’ve had in years looking forward to returning soon It may be a small diner but a big personality for a professional business

This fabulous venue is once again staging live music. At the moment only occasionally but events will increase in time. Keep an eye on their website and social media. Intimate venue hosting interesting acts from far and wide.

We had live music and a bbq in the garden, and it was a great afternoon! The food was good and we sang along to the music (!) It was cold but it was an English summer.

Awesome Sunday roast. Juicy rib of beef which for £19 I thought was very well priced. Real ale also great and in very good condition. Should think we’ll be back again soon.

Steak was an absolute winner my partner said! I really enjoyed the sea bass, extremely generous! You cannot miss out on the homemade Kent Gypsy Tart! Wonderful friendly atmosphere, the team could not do enough to help you enjoy the experience. Definitely will be back when I’m in Kent again!

Awesome hospitality and relaxed atmosphere ! they are flexible and serve you from noon to late at night unlike the posh place down the road by the sea !

Wonderfully cosy place, garden has cosy corners to sit and the main room has a log fire ( in the winter). All home made food, very good quality, healthy savoury options. The cakes (I’m not a cake eater) looked delicious and home made.

This is a nice quiet spot for a good pizza. The service was good and a welcoming atmosphere. I'd recommend it if you're in the area.

Fairly quite on a Sunday afternoon, quick service. Has toilets, drive thru, loads of space if you want yo sit in and have your coffee / sandwich.

I’ve dined here on a few occasions now and unfortunately this time was the worst. I’ve had amazing experiences and I have loved the food here so much but this time round I was disappointed to see that the quality had reduced a lot. They don’t bring out any of the lovely bread anymore, instead they just bring some small cup of broth from the cheeky ramen their sister restaurant. Not a fire pit standard at all. Now it’s just a standard restaurant in my opinion. In the past, The rice which was my all time favourite food ever and now its just an average rice dish, not to mention they don’t stir in the egg for you anymore which ruins the experience. The lamb was too sweet, being advertised as sweet I understand but this wasn’t tasty. The Chinese takeaway is better. We left half of it and I let our waiter know that the food wasn’t good and even one half cold and she didn’t care at all. The standards have slipped so much I’m so disappointed. She did tell me there is another menu change happening soon so hopefully it will be better as the menu from January was 100% better. Not to mention they’ve had to drop their prices from the beginning of the year probably to make up for the drop of the quality. The bill still came to about £70 for two small rice and small portion of lamb and a wine.
